He chose to engage in verbal battles with IHE on a few occasions ... nuff said! He did like to post the odd scoop (nothing confidential) and I am sure he gleaned some info here also. He was a bit of a wind-up merchant when on here, but he is articulate and writes well, and when he writes about ICT he does it from a position of knowledge and experience, certainly when talking about the earlier years. As for SK - Glad he got his chance and hope he takes it. I worked with his older brother for a long time, and he has been football daft since a young age. I recall he was a hot prospect for Celtic youth, and with the family Celtic leaning then going there as a youth was a no-brainer, but I think he got injured and that put paid to that unfortunately. I wonder how he and the CEO got on... What is most refreshing about Scott, is that he speaks his mind, none of that spin and BS, just comments on it as if he were a fan ...

I remember being at this game. It was bloody cold. Could not get into the Howden end that night and had to stand in no-mans land between the stand and the Howden End. After the game, like many others, we trudged diagonally across the park to the Comet/B&Q end exit that had been opened as the main exit was struggling to cope with the crowd. I remember to this day that as cold as it was, the ground was heavy and muddy as ****. Ruined a decent pair of shoes that night.

Thats a possibility. The land may be worthwhile to the council in terms of selling it on or leasing it as part of the freeport area if we were to be relocated or perhaps they let it lie fallow for a few years to truly drive the value down. However, where would we go and how would we finance a new stadium? Would this be part of any deal to reclaim the reclaimed land? I have no idea of the legalities of this, but if the lease has been "acquired" out from underneath us then no-one can cry foul if the council do it to them! RM once told me - when we were discussing potential links over here - that he would sell his stake in the club for £1 if the right person came along. I challenge him to do that now! There has been a lack of clarity and transparency going on for years, one that you have highlighted here and elsewhere for some time and which our posters on here have also been concerned about for years. There is a lot that doesnt pass the sniff test, and it has got stinkier every year, month and week. As shareholders we have been treated like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on s*** ! There has to be some dereliction of process and duty of care in this somewhere.

If you take all the above posts into consideration, then it is quite possible that the administrators are aware of transfer interest for some existing players which they are mindful to accept to improve finances. This might leave a hole in the squad whereby we could not fill the bench so recalling loanees and adding incoming players on loan, which is not a long-term cost and is likely to be offset either by the parent club, or perhaps by a sponsor, is a sensible approach. It hopefully keeps us competitive and allows us a chance to stay in the current division rather than drop down even further making a buyout of the club even more less likely and of no benefit to current creditors, staff or anyone else. I am sure there are lots of wheels in motion and lots of moving parts that we have no idea about, but if it helps the club's survival then it benefits all the people you (quite rightly) feel concerned about.

back of a cigarette packet stuff I know, but if we are still losing £10K per week then that is £520K per year. That is less than one third of what we were told was the projected yearly loss of £1.6m just a few months ago (before admin). If you factor in that income is slowly building back up with sponsorships coming back in, more people spending money, the bar taking in more money thanks to the Supporters Trust efforts, the administrators chasing money that the club is actually owed, and hopefully some club shop stock of the cracking black kit to come back in in all sizes then the £10K p/wk deficit might reduce considerably. Let's for sake of argument say it drops to £7K then that is around £360K per year which is our traditional shortfall even in the days when we were being run responsibly. A decent cup run or some income from a legitimate revenue generating idea might be all that stands between us and a break-even point if that happens. My glass remains half-full ... otherwise I will need to top it up later 🙂

Whatever happened to the good old B&Bs that the likes of Bobby Mann and others used to stay in when here! If we survive, this is the kind of s*** that can't creep back in. It doesn't happen in other occupations ... I could work almost anywhere in the world for my company and if they sent me somewhere, or i was seconded to a location for a period of time, then they would pay me to move, cover reasonable relocation costs, and possibly cover a little extra until I was established, but no way they are paying my living expenses forever. From what I hear it was not just players staying in hotels, but others who had similar arrangements or properties rented for them. ludicrous.

Pretty much spot on & I hope you are right. If we are in League 1 we are somewhat attractive to buyers but if we lose a raft of players in the window and suffer because of it with a relegation to league 2, i think we would be doomed in our current incarnation. For me the key things in the doc seem to be that Alan Savage is keeping us afloat but at some point, that well will run dry. I was also surprised at the fees for the administrator which seem high, but i would assume that initially there were a lot of hours having to be put in but as time goes on, I hope less hours are required to keep things ticking over. There seems to be no indication which way former officials will lean in terms of what they want to do with what they are owed, and the last snippets i noted were the comments about looking at the actions of officials over the last 3 years to see if any of those actions are reportable and the circumstances of the land transfer(s). Also interesting to note there were 21 expressions of interest, and i wonder how many of these are serious or viable.

Would not mind a copy if someone has one ... I assume they have sent this by post to overseas shareholders but as Canada Post have been on strike for the last several weeks without any signs of progress and may be legislated back to work by New Year, the backlog of Christmas mail and normal mail will likely mean that it will be February or March before we get anything through our letterbox. I love the start he has made, and I also appreciate that the same players who under-performed for the previous manager seem to be showing a lot more self-belief and the spirit of #TogetherNESS that we used to see. However, its waaay too early to pass judgement. Give him 25+ games or even a full season before comparing him to others and passing that kind of judgment. Things however have started well and given the adversity that they started in, then personally the signs are positive. I really want him to do well, given that he is a long standing, and local ICT stalwart in the backroom team of so many previous managers who have all talked highly of him. It has to be Pele for me. Despite the manner in which he left the club, and the fact he did not manage us in the topflight, there is no doubt he sowed the seeds of our success many years earlier. He instilled that #TogetherNESS attitude from the start that so many players have talked about over the years, he got us playing attractive football, he had us believing - due to actual results - that we could bounce back from large deficits and still win games (like we did on Saturday). He also had a keen eye for picking up someone else's cast-offs and making them ICT stalwarts. He had his demons as we all know, but man were his teams fun to watch. After that they are all in a big group for me with pros and cons in each manager's case. Robbo got us up to the Premiership and was vocal to both the league and to our club in getting the finger out regarding the stadium but his latter days at the club spoiled his legacy a bit. Terry Butcher raised our profile and was most certainly the most charismatic manager we ever had, and Yogi was kind of in the middle of Robbo and Butcher - charismatic but also not afraid to call club or officials out. Their win percentages are all in the 40-45% range. Brewster (V1) was also good but tarnished by his second spell. Charlie Christie is - I think - the only manager to have won all 5 games after the Premiership split in the 'best of the rest' bottom half of the premiership, and may have gone on to become a great manager had he not decided the stress and spotlight was too much. However, Foran, Dodds, and Ferguson as well as our first manager Sergei Baltacha were all a disappointment. Neil McCann might have been good but not enough games to really judge. I am hoping Kells makes it into the same company as Pele ... if he does, it means we have come back from the brink stronger and better at his hand.

Agreed - lets chase the team in front of us, and if and when we overtake them, then chase the team in front of that. Survival this year is the aim in my head, especially considering we will also start next season with a points penalty so that would make any Championship task even harder.

It takes as long as it takes as far as I am concerned. The lack of news, good or bad, hopefully means that all due diligence is being done and whatever comes next is a result of that diligence. Would far rather hear nothing, then a well measured plan at the end than constant updates that take focus away from the task at hand.

Automatic suspensions for all competitions tend to be for violent conduct, spitting or other offences on the more egregious side, so unless he lamped the ref in the tunnel or did something serious then it would be the next Scottish Cup match.

Just to close the loop on this one. Confirmation that the payment has been sent to the club for the sponsorship of Matthew Strachan and Ethan Cairns today. Took a little longer than we had hoped but we had to work with the club to verify the PayPal address was still active during administration.

The threads on this forum show how we all felt when we were clinging on to the hope we would not go into administration so I can take no pleasure in hearing this. Hopefully, if this is true, they can also try to get their club facing the right way again too. I think we have seen over the last couple of weeks at ICT that the players have responded to the situation and to the new coaching regime in a positive manner, and I have felt enthused that we would actually not only go on to avoid the automatic drop but could also pull ourselves clear of the playoffs in spite of the 15 point penalty.

That was the cherry on top. What over here would be called a "hold my beer" moment. For me it was a little earlier and the appointment of Rae and Crook. Perhaps good intentions, but even if they could talk the talk, they could not walk the walk and started the process of decline and of not treating local companies correctly. We threw fiscal responsibility and community engagement right out the window right there and that is why we are where we are today. These figures running the club, and everyone who followed them until now will have their own place in ICT history and not in a good way. I disagree about the "Kenny Cameron Legacy" comment. He held his hands up to being too loyal to Richie, a personality trait we all wish the club had with Doran, Ridgers and others more recently, but he oversaw a period of incredible success for our club, and one where he also tried to juggle financial prudence with the demands of managers who wanted to open up the purse strings to challenge even further in their eyes. A delicate balancing act that I don't think anyone who followed him could even hope to emulate. We were one game away from Premiership survival which is a far cry from where we have found ourselves more recently.
