New faces in January...
As it stands, and unlike previous seasons, I really dont think we are desperate for a player in any position. Terry has a small squad - as evidenced by the weeks where he has only listed 5 or 6 subs - but he does seem to have cover almost all over the park so the question would have to be "is someone available, and affordable who is better than what we have?". If someone like that becomes available, then fair enough, if not, then as its clearly not broken, it dont need fixed !!! I agree with those that say we will need to wait and see what - if anything - the window does to us. If we were to lose Rooney or Hayes for example, then we would indeed have a huge hole to fill in either position, but if we can come through the window relatively unscathed then we are good. I also would not look to offload Roy or Golly. Veterans they may be, but they can still do a job on the left if required. If either player got an offer that interested them, perhaps as player/coach somewhere then perhaps, but otherwise they are still decent cover. whatever happens ... I trust Terry & Mo to do whats best ..... sitting back right now and thinking about this response, it seems incredible to think just how young some of the players are that Terry has given a chance to and who we quite easily regard as crucial to our plans - Shinnie, Ross, Hayes, Cox, Rooney, Odi - and this mirrors what TB/MM started but did not finish at Motherwell ..... if we do lose any, then I am confident, Terry can pick up a gem or two elsewhere.

Memories of Olde Snekke.
Remember them well .... Jimmy Terris's 'jellybeans' in the main bar, and going through to the 'civilised' lounge part where MTV was shown ... with no satellite TV in those days, this was amazing Thats not an old memory ... you do it every week, the pubs have just changed My hazy memory seems to remember on one of my trips home, or perhaps it was just before i moved over here, some drunken night I toured a few pubs with you after the football and ended up ****faced in the Tarry Isle while you still appeared sober !!! Talking of the Hayloft, remembering when it was the 'gateway' and you could book a disco for free if you got so many people to turn up. The sour-faced manageress always made sure you were 4 or 5 under the required number Remember them all. You always thought you were cool if you bought your records from the ORS instead of Boots or Menzies and Scott II was a real boat, not like those Jacobite modern thingys .... or so we thought at the time. And when talking of distilleries, who can forget Frozen Foods, the original supermarket, right beside one of them. Oh Yes Yup. Of course thats not to be outdone by everyone playing Tennis at Bellfield when Wimbledon was on and then spending half your time retrieving tennis balls that went over the fence. Or heading to Torvean to play 2 or 3 rounds of 'speed-golf' when the Open was on. Keeping a sporting or exercise theme .... heading to the old baths after school and using your little paper card with the boxes on it to get free entry. Why did it always seem to be raining when you went there ? but the chicken soup was great. This reminds me of the kids summer trips ..... either the ones from Planefield or from the Legion ... they always seemed to end up in Drumnadrochit for some reason where you played on the sports field, were given sweets and taken home later in the day. Staying with summer holidays and the likes .... summer TV Why Dont You ? Champion the wonder Horse Flash Gordon (in B/W) Badly dubbed Robinson Crusoe

Online Club Shop
One excellent feature of the new online shop is the postage rates !!! It is perhaps not evident until you are finalising your order but now that the club have brought everything back 'in-house' rather than having an external company supply the service, the postal rates are excellent, and based on the actual cost to post the items rather than any weird formulas or additional tariffs the 3rd party companies may have used to drive up costs and maximise their (but not the club's) profit. The club stipulated at a relatively early stage their preference for the postal rates to be based on standard Royal Mail charges. There are no additional fees added for shipping or packaging etc and no commission paid out to 3rd party suppliers. You pay for the items and you pay the standard cost of postage based on size/weight. Its all great news for those of us in far flung places outside Inverness as we will no longer be gouged by service providers with no real interest in the club ..... There is even an option to avoid all the delivery charges, order online and "collect in person" !!!! Great stuff !!!

Manchester United Takeover
The OP supports many teams .... it just depends on what day of the week it is !!!
-
Where did you think we would be?
I figured somewhere around 8th ... not deep in the relegation zone but also falling further behind top six ...... and that would have been totally acceptable. But to be 4th going into Xmas, and a solid 4th at that is phenomenal !!!

BBC disgrace
What? You mean the TV part of the BBC being able to actually do some thinking on their feet and be able to produce a programme out of thin air in the same way that their radio colleagues sometimes do? There seems to be plenty of subjects around to keep Sportsound filled up - even if OAM was off last week due to weather .....

Merry Xmas
Happy Christmas to all in the interests of sharing you may choose your own Christmas Carol .....

BBC disgrace
No. Not online at least. Some clips may be a little over/under but a 15/30 min clip is not gonna happen

BBC disgrace
unfortunately, other than the first few seconds and the last few seconds of the highlights this week, the clip on ictfc.com certainly puts the old Jam Tarts in a better light than us !

ICT supporters
I have my opinions, based on whats been posted, but - for once - I am going to keep them to myself as I obviously wasn't present to see the 'incident' and form a first hand opinion. However, posters from both sides of this 'discussion' please be aware that this topic is now on a yellow card as it is skirting with the old chestnut of 'personal abuse' in places. Happy for it to continue if it can stay within our site guidelines and deal with the generics of support/slagging your team. However, should a more personal conversation need to take place then I would ask the relevant posters to use that facility of the site.

Ouch!
It had a happy ending though ..... he came back to school, nose reset, and because he hadnt collapsed in a heap screaming blue murder was forever regarded as hard as nails !
-
Ouch!
Yes it did .... from what I can remember (as none of us really wanted to look), it lodged in the softer part of his nose and the PE teacher and paramedics (I guess they were just called ambulance crew then) got him into the ambulance with him supporting the ball still attached to his face.
-
Ouch!
Reminds me of back at Inverness High School (which at the time had a good academic record). We played Shinty as part of PE with a teacher called Robertson (who although small in stature was a big Rugby man). It was mayhem and during our 'game', one of my classmates - Colin McNeill, who designed the Eastgate Centre logo and ended up as a cartoonist for 2000AD - got hit squarely on the nose with the ball. He went to casualty with it still fixed firmly to his beak ...... no more Shinty for us after that !!!!!
