Maybe everyone's too nervous to speak... you're right, though, it's been as quiet as I can remember it on here this week. Hopefully it'll be noiser tonight, in a positive way. Off to get the train soon. Why did I feel the need to get drunk last night with a full day of stupid excess ahead of me? Believe it or not, matchdays are some of our quietest in terms of website traffic. Obviously you do have the likes of me and other overseas or "far-flung within the UK" posters, but many of our users will be at the game and maybe go for a few beers later so its quite quiet.

Given that this third hand story of an 'alleged' attack talks about a police statement, I can only assume that it is the subject of a criminal investigation with the possibility of pending charges. If that is the case then sorry, we must close this until such time as any official actions have been concluded.

Nick, if you play, just do your best, thats all we can ask !!! I know you will realise its a County game and therefore important to all ICT fans (especially after having taken 0 from 6 possible points so far this season) but if you can double or triple your career total of ICT goals we would also be quite happy :P

The post-script to this was that Ross was also made to stand outside the ground after he got changed as Pele didnt want him anywhere near the dressing rooms .. he was furious with him. I remember that game well, went down to this on the bus and we ended up in the main stand behind all the journos (ok, one or two journos), then, because we were shouting for ICT, we were moved by the stewards who were gestapo-like that evening, so much so we named one of them "Helga". Seem to remember the worst away toilets in Scotland at Scumerset.

Yeah, cautiously optimistic about the rest of the season but cant help looking for the sting in the tail ...... I think after the lows of relegation last season it is hard (but not impossible) to believe we will be one of only two or three teams to bounce back at the first attempt and that may be the thing that is stopping many of us from believing there wont be some disappointment to come. Having said that, the optimism has grown in recent weeks as we have ground out some decent results and things have started to go our way ..... It is indeed getting to the nailbiter stage as Birdog mentioned and if we can keep grinding results - even ugly ones - then it will be a case of who has more bottle as the run-in continues. Definitely more exciting than SPL though .... just wish we had radio commentary !

MLS season doesnt start until the end of this month so it seems unlikely. Most teams are in the middle of pre-season right now and have had plenty of trialists during the last month or so but if he was over, he might have found them unwilling to use a coveted "senior international" roster slot on a player who wasnt head and shoulders above anything they could find in an American/Canadian player who would be classed as a "domestic".
