  1. I know this is not really ICT related, but as many of our regular posters know Calum and Jill from here or the Innes then I am pulling founder privileges and posting a thread here to congratulate them on the arrival of their new wee one. According to the extremely happy message on my answer machine today, baby Kyle arrived yesterday and mother and baby are doing fine ....... it sounded like father wasnt doing too bad either !
  2. Add Charlton to the list for Cowie as well (OK, I know, its the SUN but they have got a few things right before) http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/ho...icle2132165.ece

The supporters club always try to sponsor one of the younger players who might break through ...... just like we (the site, and then the "internutters" from the site and the Innes) have sponsored Grant since long before he was a first team regular.

Here is the report from Fiona who is in Turkey with the U19s. As you can see the boys pulled off a pretty stunning win. Under 19 Squad - Youngsters sizzle in the sun as they defeat Turkish giants with Sutherland & Rennie getting the goals The Under 19 squad continued their impressive form on foreign soil this afternoon when they completed a stunning 2-0 victory over Turkish giants Galatasaray through goals from striker Shane Sutherland and midfielder Connor Rennie. In a disciplined and organised performance the boys in the end ran out comfortable winners against a very good side. Galatasaray had the better of the opening spell however once we got used the hot temperatures we settled in and controlled the remainder of the first half. Long range strikes from Graeme Shinnie, a stand out at left back and Daniel Park who also showed up well again tested the Turkish goalkeeper. At the other end Kyle Allison had very little to do apart from pluck one cross from out of the air. Gavin Morrison, who had netted a double in the previous game against a Moscow select had to be replaced after 15 minutes due to suffering the effects of a cold and Kevin Fraser replaced him with good effect. Just after the midway point we took the lead from a rehearsed set play, Daniel Park drilled over a corner kick and with Shane Sutherland peeling to the back post area he rose above everyone to head into the net and make it 1-0. Galatasaray freshened up their line up at half-time replacing all eleven players as they tried to force their way back into the game. This proved to be too difficult for them and the back four well marshalled by Michael Finnis kept them at bay. Despite a strong penalty claim being waved away by the Turkish referee when Daniel Park was felled in the box the boys continued to look dangerous on the break and shortly after we made it a deserved two. A quick break up field found Daniel Park charging down the left flank and his low cut back into the box was met by the supporting Connor Rennie and his touch sent the back into the bottom corner of the net. Only a fine save by Keiran Wilson prevented the opposition from pulling a goal back when he raced from his line to block a Turkish striker who had a clear sight of goal. Once again the boys gained credit for themselves and Caley Thistle with their attitude, work-rate, will to win and not to forget their obvious quality on show against a very good Galatasaray side which featured two players who have made first team appearances. ICT Team Allison Scott-Woodhouse, Welsh, Finnis, Shinnie Leslie, Hemsley, Morrison, Ross Sutherland, Park Subs: Wilson for Allison (46 mins), Fraser for Morrison (15 mins), Rennie for Hemsley (60 mins), Carrol for Ross (60 mins)
  7. BBC may not have the right to post them online as that is a separate sponsorship / media rights agreement to the one that allows them to post SPL highlights online. Have been looking for them myself without success too !

Smith may not stay http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...tions-open.html and the current #2 is only on loan, in fact the last #2 was also on loan as well !!! http://www.scotsman.com/motherwellfc/New-g...rive.4840657.jp
  9. Please dont SPAM us 'Chambers Bar' .... we normally dont allow unsolicited advertising without being asked first but decided to leave your Bar thread up as it gave fans a well needed place to congregate pre-match. Spamming other threads is unacceptable when there is a perfectly good one already on the go.
  10. Strikers have scored 9 of our 20 ----- the rest have been from midfield/defence http://stats.caleythistleonline.com/index.php?sort=goals
  11. 2008/09 sees our worst F/A total ever at this stage of the season (I took it to end of December). We have never scored less than 20 by then (although we have been close to this total most years) and we have never shipped more than 34 which is how many we have conceded in each of the last two seasons. TO END OF DECEMBER 2008/09 Pld 20 / F 20 / A 34 / GD -14 / Posn 11th 2007/08 Pld 20 / F 28 / A 34 / GD -6 / Posn 8th 2006/07 Pld 22 / F 23 / A 31 / GD -8 / Posn 10th 2005/06 Pld 21 / F 23 / A 21 / GD +2 / Posn 7th 2004/05 Pld 20 / F 20 / A 29 / GD -9 / Posn 8th
  12. Yes. While there have been a large number of people calling his managerial abilities into question, virtually no-one has ever questioned the capabilities of Brewster the player. Unfortunately its not gonna happen though as his shoulder is fecked and you can be sure opponents know this and "might" take advantage of the fact.

  14. True ... but at the end of the day, they can only buy what is out there ...... despite what may well have been well intentioned promises. still 19 days to go though
  15. You can only buy whats out there ..... I would have liked to see us get Pressley but that didnt happen. (although Mihadjuks had a solid debut and may help our defensive woes). We know we need a striker, and I am sure Brewster does too. However, as much as I will slam his tactics, or be quite open with my belief that he is not the man for the job in the long term, I have to give him some slack on this ..... which experienced strikers, who are available, and seem to be in our bracket in terms of transfer fee and wages have we missed out on ? Who is available ? I would wager that its not a very long list !
  16. best line in the story for me is .... "Young midfielder Iain Vigurs ? a recent stand-out against Rangers and Partick Thistle ? has been offered a new contract." Lets hope its not an offer that takes the **** !

We didnt get sent the second report and rather than cutting and pasting, you can find it on the official site. A 4-2 win over a Moscow select and on the back of it, an invitation to play Galatasaray !!!! http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Matc...1518811,00.html
  19. IF black stays i agree with this team yeah, wouldnt have too much of a problem with that either.

dont like the stripe .... reminds me of Peru or old Motherwell strips .... the rest of it is fine. I also like Karl's first one, CaleyD's red and black effort and his ICT logo strip ... and of course my own ones (more so my first one, not so much the other two).

Quality rather than quantity Jnr ;)
  22. The striker you were mentioning ? or the Goalie going to Aberdeen ?
  23. He's going west ... so effectively travelling back in time .... not as bad as going east !
  24. similar to, but smaller than the Falkirk temporary stand ICT went with a more substantial set of temporary stands. I have nothing to back it up, but get the feeling that as Tulloch's were building it, they wanted to build the best they could as quickly as they could as that would showcase the quality and diversity of the work their civil arm could do. Ours are certainly leaps and bounds ahead of the Hamilton and Falkirk ones.

OK. playing around with a few tonight .... its pretty hard to make them look decent with white as a base ..... far easier with red or blue !!!! First one is based on ERREA range from 08/09 Next one is from A-Line range. Not so sure the Red -> Blue gradients work on the drawing, but perhaps better in real life. Finally, an extremely simple white shirt with red/blue elements.
