  1. tell me about it ...... but thanks to the wonders of modern technology, live audio and video are in operation
  2. We could certainly setup a password controlled or members only forum for them on here if they wish. Dont think either myself or Don would have a problem with that and it only takes minutes to setup ..... as for the fee ..... free of charge nominal enough ?

  4. Very good questions ....... and its hard for anyone to answer except Robbo My own opinion - from his previous stint as manager - is that he wouldnt get himself in a situation where the criticisms were quite so harsh as they are with the present incumbent. I think Robbo is someone who could actually turn round and say he made a mistake which is a large part of the problem with Brewster. Once you admit your mistakes, you are half way to solving them and Brew cant admit his whereas I believe Robbo would. In his first stint as manager, I think he was also very happy to meet and mingle with the fans on their level so to speak, with the supporters do at the Corriegarth being a prime example. He didnt make the requisite 5 minute appearance then bugger off, he (and many of the players) stayed for quite some time, got the craic and left at the end of the night blazer-less rather than blazing !!! As for diluting opinions because he might be reading, well that is up to the individual poster isnt it. We all know Charlie reads the site ... he was posting Centenary Draw Results every week long before he was manager ... but that didnt stop people having an opinion one way or the other, and I think the same would be true if it were Robbo. Whether Robbo would take it to heart or not would be down to him I suppose. At the end of the day, if he came in and did crap, I am sure there would be no shortage of people ready to tell him so .... equally, if he did well, I would hope the reverse would apply. Having said all that, I do tend to agree that a manager should retain some distance from the daily goings on of a fan website. Coming on here now is fine, he is currently a radio journalist in much the same way as Charles Bannerman, but if he were ever to become manager again, personally I would favour him writing a column for us or doing a Q&A session, or maybe a chatroom session so that he could speak to fans in a more organised fashion rather than posting on the boards. Ultimately though, the decision would be his. Maybe Robbo could take advice from Craigy boy ..... I was going to start a thread highlighting this article, but your question made it pertinent t stick in here !!!! http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/...86908-21012217/
  5. not really ... there are a number of ways to implement ticketing schemes .... whether its vouchers, a club database which would show who tickets were sold to, or whether its stewards and police making a point of ejecting anyone during the game who displays opposition colours or makes it obvious they support the other team. If the club gain a reputation for cracking down on this, word will soon travel ..... heck, they could even pretend that these away fans in the home end are home fans and harass them as normal !!!
  6. not guilty this time - what was that ?

  8. To answer the question ....... He is available. [which is what we need - we dont want to be paying compo that we can ill afford] He is now local. [which removes the central belt argument] He is personable. [as we have seen on open all mics and elsewhere, a personality fans and players alike seem to like] He is passionate about ICT. [as can be heard every week on open all mics - As ICT have frequently "punched above their weight" passion is a vital element of motivating the players.] He has a far superior managerial record than Brewster at ICT [In 82 games overall he won just under 54% of them. Brewster on the other hand has won 34% overall from 112 games with this season seeing his record drop to 25%] He is second only to Steve Paterson in having the best season ever at ICT [This happened in 03/04 when he won 62% of games and took us to the first division title. Paterson eclipses him with the 02/03 season when he won 2/3 of all games played, but it was only half a season as he went off to Aberdeen midway through it - Robbo came in and won more than half of the remaining games. Brewster on the other hand has presided over parts of 4 seasons, all of which have been near the bottom of our performance table, including this season which is the worst ever record a manager has had at ICT].
  9. 93rd feckin minute !!!! - if in doubt I usually take QOS as standby with home wins and away draws ..... trust me to go for a win today based on Wilson and Tosh coming into the side.
  10. CBsBluenRedArmy .... notice you based a lot of your argument on the one good run in 2007. You seem to have responded to everyone else's arguments against your post .... but mysteriously missed responding to my facts about our bad runs ........
  11. went for QOS in the naps today oh ye of little faith Barry just subbed - imagine that !! managing 88 minutes on his debut
  12. ...the Highland club?s recent barren run has been taken out of all proportion... ?There is no crisis, there is no pressure. We are managing the club as we have been doing from the start of the season. Nothing from outside the club affects us. There is no panic, it is only made by the media. The media are making a story out of it. The players are not negative at all, they are very positive and upbeat." Yup, beat me to it as well. think 5th Stand summed up my understanding of it too ..... statements were being made about him and questions were being asked so he came on, refuted the statements, answered the questions and left. Some tried to draw him further into the debate about Brew, and perhaps he answered a few questions he should not have done, but I think he always tried to be respectful in his answers. He is of course welcome back whenever he likes, whether he is manager, football pundit, or normal member of the public !
  14. Actually, I believe Charlie Christie did bring one in - can remember Graham Bayne mentioning it in the papers.
  15. You failed to mention that on the end of that good run (and yes it was a good run - 5 league wins in a row), we went on another run which saw us win only 2 league games in 12 and included a spell where we endured 7 defeats in a row. When we came out of that bad run in April we won 2 back to back games (against Gretna and Killie) and havent repeated that feat since !!!! We are - as I am sure you know - on a bit of an impressive run right now ..... 2 wins in the last 12 games including a streak of 5 defeats in a row that could well be 6 after Sunday.

I think it may be time to review the gentleman's agreement we have with the Courier that allows them to print a selection of comments from the site. Our agreement stated that they should be placed in a sidebar in a similar fashion to letters, we never agreed that they could be used as a footnote to any article. We have (in the past) allowed them to ignore the previous rule and insert comments within articles so long as the comments are in context with the actual story and not used to portray a skewed viewpoint one way or the other. Our agreement stated that comments used should reflect the "mood" of the fans on the board. In that context, to not even go as far as to show balance by ignoring any comments calling for Brewster's resignation is contrary to the agreement. Because everything other than the first post in each thread is invisible to guests, the journalist, or someone in his office must be members, and as members have explicitly agreed to our registration terms which include a copyright agreement that states "Any redistribution or reproduction of part or all of the contents in any form is prohibited. You may not, except with express written permission of the copyright owner, distribute or commercially exploit the content. Nor may you transmit it or store it in any other website or other form of electronic retrieval system." Who are the sports and managing editors of the Courier these days ?

His lack of knowledge doesn't even merit an answer.
  18. I would also say that for the Trust to be taken seriously, they need as many members as possible and given that most Trusts are formed in times of crisis whereas ours was not, motivating people to join may have been a problem in the past. It is far easier to be regarded as having some clout with 1000 members or 2000 members than if you only have 30, 50 or 100. [note: these numbers are just plucked from air - I have no clue about Trust membership numbers] We havent always been complimentary about the Trust on here, but at this time of crisis it is time for us all to give them support so they can talk with a loud voice in what amounts to their first real test as a representative fan body.
  19. As ever, the Chic Young ones were the best !!!
  20. still got 5 hours to go over here for me, but I welcomed in the Scottish New Year by watching Only an Excuse over the Internet and cracking open a can of Alexander Keiths Happy New Year to all members of the website, regardless of whether we have agreed or disagreed. Here's hoping we can all have the 2009 we want. Sl?inte Mhath.
  21. Guess Brewster wasnt good enough for O.A.E.
  22. I actually agree with you on that Alex and have said in the past that I have absolutely no problem with Mr Sutherland making a profit based in part on his role as a benefactor for ICT. I believe that many of us viewed the position in a similar fashion ..... That land will one day be worth a fortune as it has been touted for years to be at the heart of a leisure/tourism complex along the A96 and A9 corridors with hotels, marinas, and all sorts of other stuff. I have always felt that he would make a profit based on the development of that area and ICT would benefit for the very same reason. A truly symbiotic relationship that would be good for both parties. What I cannot understand at the moment, and what has started to make my spidey senses tingle is just how a very intelligent businessman - who had the sense to diversify his interests before the credit crunch - continues to ignore a problem that every man and his dog can see ....... Is he simply blinded because Brewster was his choice, or is there some other reason as has been hinted at ?
  23. you mean this plan (page 3) ? http://www.highland.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/A7...vedjune2006.pdf which was somewhat dealt with in this article http://business.scotsman.com/6983/Waterfro...ness.2489799.jp
  24. no programme tonight ... they are just going to run each of Craig's post match interviews .... those were definitely only excuses !
  25. not going to happen. I would be putting myself on dangerous ground if I said why I think that way but read Eidolon's post, consult the local plan and form your own opinion from there.
