  3. 5th April is only the last published fixture - we still have 5 games after that where the dates/opposition havent been decided yet.
  4. so how do we get that warm and fuzzy feeling back without being relegated :017:
  5. As CaleyD mentioned, there is a ban on flag "poles" in grounds and has been for a few years now. I imagine that MS is only quoting the rules at you. suggest you establish a dialogue with him or other officials of the club to see if some compromise can be reached. It may also be worth contacting one of the groups you mentioned to see how they got round this rule.
  6. thinking of perhaps purchasing this software http://www.networkmagic.com/product/pro.php
  7. I use a simpler solution than monitoring software although I do use NetStumbler from time to time to see what information others might see about my network or to see what other wireless networks are in my area. I have a total of 4 PCs and a network attached printer in my house and i make sure my router can only issue a total of 5 IP addresses in a specified range. I also make sure I am using encryption so that anyone wanting to connect to the network has to do a bit of work and is likely to look for an unsecured network access point instead. Depending on the make/model of your router you may also be able to add a further layer of protection by using MAC address filtering to only allow certain machines access to the network. There are loads of tips in tweaking your network but one of the other things I did was to change my default router settings to use a different channel and SSID and to hide the SSID so its not visible to the casual viewer (or neighbours). loads of tips here: http://reviews.cnet.com/4326-3688_7-6568745.html (a good slideshow) http://netsecurity.about.com/cs/hackertools/a/aafreewifi.htm http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457019.aspx http://ask-leo.com/can_i_monitor_or_contro...me_network.html http://ask-leo.com/how_can_i_tell_what_int...my_machine.html
  8. I can still remember the feeling in that part of the ground. looking at the clock thinking only 15 minutes to go, only 14 minutes to go, only 13 minutes to go (you get the idea) .... looking round at my fellow supporters with a ****-eating grin on my face only to see that everyone else had the same big grin too .... no words needing said, just a nod as everyone acknowledged their belief that we could do this to everyone around them but still scared that it would all go wrong ..... that was the longest 15 minutes of my life. Then when it all ended, the bedlam in one part of the ground as the rest was virtually empty. the noise, the chanting and then the team running up to our end in a line, hand in hand and sliding to the turf to acknowledge the fans ..... a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life .........
  9. Welcome SuilbhirCroat - interesting username, Suilbhir is Irish for cheerful/eloquent ! I am glad you chose ICT, and hope you stay a fan. Feel free to ask any questions about the club in the ICT forum or if you have questions about Inverness or Scotland this forum here will do nicely. Our main site has more details about the club including a fixture list ... maybe you will be lucky and see a game when you come to Inverness.
  10. Bottom line is that he was by no means assured of having his contract renewed by ICT (3 months to go and comments in the press like Hart, Barry and Patti still have a chance to earn a new one - very uncertain) so it would appear he has decided to drop down a level (I do believe County will be in Div1 next season so it is only 1 level) and guarantee his future. Its a short career and players need to make the most of it. Also, as has been said elsewhere, he wants to stay in the area for personal/family reasons (a bit of a change from most who leave !!) so County or Elgin would have been the only choices. I think he has made the right one. For his contribution to ICT we can only say thanks. He was, at times, an integral part of a good team and like others who have left before him such as Golly, Caff and others he has certainly played his part in our success. The Rockness incident was certainly unfortunate for both the player and the club and to clear up confusion from above, the offence admitted to was nothing to do with a joint but posession of cocaine which officers found on a CD and in another wrap in the car. [LINK]. We could argue till the cows come home (and have already done that) about whether it was bringing the club into disrepute or something he was doing in his own recreational time but at the end of the day it did affect the club negatively in the press and that is part of the cost of being in a higher profile job. If it were you or I then barely a word would be mentioned, but if it is a successful and well known person in any field, be it entertainment, sport or business then its gonna hit the papers when you do something stupid, criminal or both. Whatever your opinion of this episode, both sides of the argument can make valid cases and therein lies the problem. ICT were in a no-win situation. Sack the player and possibly have to deal with some costly legal machinations for unfair dismissal centred around the claim of it being in his own time, or reinstate him and incur the wrath of some for condoning drug use. In this case ICT made what I think is a sensible decision. re-instated him to the squad and let him play out his contract as it was only one more season. I have a feeling that Richie could have played superbly in every game from now to the end of season and still not have been offered a renewal as both ICT and a significant number of fans wanted a clean break. I am sad to see him go as I like his style of play, his passion and his commitment, and I can also forgive him for his stupid mistake (I've made a few myself, just never ended up in court over them) but it is probably the best thing for all concerned.
  11. That's something we have all got in common :003:

  13. Aberdeen and Kille were (reportedly) interested, but not interested enough to pay anything for him before the end of his contract. Brewster believed otherwise and it will either backfire on him or we may have got a gem. He banged the goals in at junior level, he hasnt done that badly for Clyde and seems to be a player who may fit right in with the Caley Thistle ethos we have all talked about in the past - ie. someone who may not be the best player in the league but who has said he will work his socks off to prove he is capable at this level. Discipline may be his biggest weakness and Brewster has already commented on that. I liked his comments in the paper and think that all those who are slagging him off before he has even got started are bang out of order. We are supposed to be supporters yet we seem to want to behave like a tacky tabloid in grinding him into the dirt before we have even seen what he can do. Give the lad a chance FFS. If he turns out to be crap then fair enough, slag him off, slag Brewster off, slag the DoF .... but until he has had a chance to show what he can do give him at least a bit of support !
  14. nope: I am on the mailing list for the newsletter and also a shareholder so assume they didnt get them (yet?) Are you a season ticket holder ? Perhaps they only went out to them ? or maybe it was because you had previously complained ?

  16. Maybe he just likes good football and has the sense to come and watch ICT :001:
  17. not much point now .....but when we do our end of season site updates would users like us to incorporate some additional categories in the gallery ? As it stands we will (hopefully) continue to have matchday galleries from Trevor,Gordon and Peter and we will also have a section for the rogues gallery and any ICT related events like nights out etc. Users will also be able to access a personal gallery but are there any other categories you would like to see added such as holiday photos, sceninc masterpieces or such like .... let us know. note; we are changing gallery software so it will be far easier to use !!!
  18. Thats a beauty ! - it even makes Aberdeen look good
  19. wrong Mantis !!!! click ADDITIONAL OPTIONS at the bottom of the post box [attach=1] and then use the attach function to add a file from your computer. [attach=2] If it is an image it will show a thumbnail at the bottom of the post ... alternatively, you can use the inline attachment command somewhere in the post to show the image in a specific part of the message like I just did above here. The command is like this [attach=x] where x = the attachment order ... ie 1 for first picture, 2 for second pic etc. note - images will be resized by the forum on the fly but we would prefer users to resize them to no wider than 600 first so the filesize of the actual thread is kept down. 20. :015: :015: Nah.. just leant out the window mate.. we're tough up here! the plane looks scarily close to the top of the mountain !
  21. been going through some other folders and found a few more I like ....... Our first night in Cuba - a storm brews over our resort and the sky goes from dull pink to crimson in the space of a few minutes. 10 minutes later its warm, dry and humid again. [attach=1] [attach=2] Still in Cuba .... the fishing village near our resort [attach=3] Still in Cuba .... no visit to Havana is complete without taking in the show at the Tropicana. We had seats right next to the stage, in fact on a couple of occasions while resting my arm on the edge of the stage, the dancers' feet were literally two inches from me .... add the 3 bottles of free rum they gave us at our table (between 6 of us) and we were feeling no pain :003: [attach=4] Moving on .... to Copenhagen, I think these three are worthy of inclusion The royal palaces from the water. I liked theway the polished surface of the boat gave me a great reflection. [attach=5] We walked through Tivoli Gardens at night and this 'clown' came out very scarily in the photo [attach=6] Finally, when leaving Copenhagen to travel to Stockholm, my wife took this picture of the train station .... there's something about the beams that look nice. [attach=7]
  22. they were great :003:
  23. Despite her appearance on "Dancing with the Stars" over here, I would say she is pretty universally disliked. The late night chat shows like Letterman, Leno, Jimmy Kimmel and even our own Craig Ferguson (who started his comedic life as "Bing Hitler" but now fronts a very late late talk show, sports somewhat of a mid-Atlantic drawl and is about to become a US citizen) all did little sketches disparaging her at the time .... Personally, I am with Smee on this one and think Stella was (reportedly) a good judge of character early on !!!
  24. Charles - You are correct. When there is a 'blocking' problem that problem is one which is created by the SPL and the clubs themselves, the BBC are only adhering to their contract. However, it appears that on Scarlet's computer a notice on the BBC website showed this weekends ICT game as not being available overseas when in fact it was and he almost missed it ....
  25. The thread with Mantis' photo that appeared in Scotland on Sunday got me thinking ..... why not have a thread where we can all showcase photos that we have taken which we think are good ones ...... Heres the Mantis one: http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/spect...s-at.3757025.jp and here is an effort from myself, and one from the missus. Taken by me from inside Eilean Donan Castle looking out over the water [attach=1] Taken by the wife - Playa Arroyo beach in Jibacoa, Cuba. Looking forward to sitting in the same spot in June this year sipping a large mojito :003: [attach=2]
