  1. What ... like ours you mean ..... :32: ...... :33: ...... :buttkick: sometimes works / sometimes doesnt, its the nature of the beast I guess.
  2. Has to be Dutch Dreams in Toronto .... best Ice Cream EVER ! Home-made, generous helpings, and each cone has fresh fruit and freshly whipped cream added to the top of it after the ice cream. Milkshakes come in 1L tubs not cups and everything they sell tastes marvellous. Single Scoop (frozen yogurt) 2 Scoops (Mango/Strawberry) http://www.iloveicecream.com/dutch_dreams.htm http://www.torontoplus.ca/bars_restaurants...ams_ltd/1052143
  3. Britney Spears ! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: After seeing her "train-wreck" performance on the MTV Video Awards the other day, she has confirmed she no longer has an act or a career :015: :015: Comedienne Sarah Silverman summed it up best ..... "Britney Spears. Wow. She is amazing. She is 25 years old and she's already accomplished everything she's going to accomplish in her life. It's mind blowing."
  4. Whilst I agree with much of your sentiment, I dont think quoting a song (national anthem) that has, as part of its content, the following verse is a good example. Lord, grant that Marshal Wade, May by thy mighty aid, Victory bring. May he sedition hush and like a torrent rush, Rebellious Scots to crush, God save the King/Queen. For me, I have no problem with the "English" as a people/race/nation - whatever word you want to use, it is the often ignorant comments of the English media and my dislike for the English Team that makes me support the other team when they are playing in much the same way as I am happy to see Livingston, St Mirren or Dundee Utd get beaten by (most) other teams.
  5. Problem is, he rarely plays as well for Scotland as he can do for Rangers at times .... Thats not a criticism of Ferguson himself, but seems to be a failing that many players have had over the years. Deffo think he needs to be in there against France though !
  6. Whoever feels confident they will score !!! Niculae didnt miss, it was saved by the keepers foot ! It may not have been a great penalty but thats not to say he shouldnt take them. However, if Rankin, Cowie, Brewster or anyone else feels more confident, then let them take them. not much chance of getting one this week though !
  7. From 98 onwards they dont look too bad ..... but these pre-98 ones look pretty dicey

  9. can only remember front and back being mentioned.
  10. You have definitely got a point !!!
  11. .... I have a suggestion - where B&Q is concerned, just say NO !!! You got my back-up :crazy07: :blah01:
  12. Its there, on the back, I spotted it and its gonna be covered by a number :004: [attach=1]
  13. If it gets a few extra bums on seats then where is the harm? We used to do it in lower division days, a few bodies went round the pubs firing up posters for the next game. Its not going to do anything for existing supporters or those who will not support the club in any circumstances, but if it gets a few more neutrals or visitors through the gates its all extra money for the club/manager to work with. Lets face it, unless we are playing one of the OF, there are plenty empty seats to go round. The simplicity of the file I attached is just because we asked for something basic. I am sure Angela or someone else at the club could tart it up with some 'inspiring' pictures for future games if there was a demand and if it warranted it.
  14. Tend to agree with TM4TJ - the names are on there regardless of whether a number will have to be attached over the top of it or not. There will be some reasonably well known names covered up including the chairman's but regardless of that, the names will still be there !! It may have been a better idea if more names were added to the front to go lower down the shirt or if a smaller font size was used so that the top half of the back didnt have to be used at all but that might have led to some complaining that their names were tucked inside the players shorts ! So long as the name is there, it will still be on the pitch with the players and will be readable on the sponsors' commemorative copy of the shirt. As for the 'mistake', my heart goes out to you Wilsy, as it is one that is not only frustrating but one that no matter what the club do for you will never be truly resolved. however, at the end of the day, thats what it is, a mistake and we can all make them. Did the club make the mistake?, or did it happen in Italy? who knows, but what they have offered you sounds like they are trying to do the best they can. Incidentally, if you dont mind me asking, what was the mistake ?
  15. There would be no shame in Scotland (FIFA Rank 23) failing to qualify from a group containing Italy (#3), France (#4) and Ukraine (#15) and with each of them still to play in 3 of our 4 final qualifying games its a tall order for us to get there but not impossible ! By the rankings, we could reasonably expect to be 4th and it wasnt that long ago that we were in the same ranking territory as both Lithuania (78) and Georgia (103) although thankfully we have never been as low as the Faeroe's (190)

He's a Timelord ! ..... You know, he isnt really a driving instructor, and that isnt really a dual control car he drives .......
  18. I received a personal message a week or so ago asking whether it would be possible for the club to make "next game" posters available for users to print off and stick up in their workplaces, schools etc. I spoke with Angela at the club and she has sent the attached PDF file. If users think this is a good idea, we may well be able to establish a section in our downloads area for this, or just add them to a pre-match thread on here .... let us know if you think a regular supply of these would be worth it. ICT-Hearts.pdf
  19. We have the availability, space and bandwidth to make these available if the files can be got to us. Some files may be too big to attach to the forum but if you talk to myself or CaleyD we can make alternative arrangements.
  20. I do not believe so and I have read and re-read the thread. It is primarily concerned with the arrogance of the English media. Besides, The "Undertones" were Irish .... used to like them ......
  21. its very plain but I disliked it for two reasons 1. It was a virtual carbon copy of the Rangers top from the previous season. 2. For someone with a 19in neck, like me, these round necklines are murder !
  22. Yeah, the link to Scottish Americans had Johnny Cash and quite a few other interesting names too.
  23. of course it is. However, in between the bouts of arrogance or perhaps 'over-confidence' displayed by the Scottish press, there have been long spells where we have shown the self deprecating philosophy that we are s***e and we know we are whereas the English media have played the same old record for 40 years whether their team was good or bad at the time.
  24. Pretty close I think - according to Wikipedia it puts the figure at something like 4.2 million Canadians (14.08% of the population of around 30m) who claim to be Scottish-Canadian in one way or another. In the USA its 4.8 million out of 300 million or 1.7%. When you add the 'Scots-Irish' descent the number in the states rises to 9.2m !! so North America has an estimated 13.5 millions Scots ! (and still we cant get the decent Setanta channels) Interesting to note some of the names who claim to be of Scottish descent ..... Scottish-Canadian Neve Campbell Alexander Keith (famous brewer over here - great beer !) Sir John A MacDonald (first Canadian PM) Roddy Piper (former WWE wrestler) Donald Sutherland Kiefer Sutherland Mike Myers Scottish-American Tommy Hilfiger Donald Trump (once saw a TV programme where he talked of a hebridean grand/great-grand parent) Jennifer Aniston James Dean Clint Eastwood Jay Leno Ray Liotta Jim Morrison Elvis Pressley Gwen Stefani John Wayne Neil Armstrong Davy Crocket Ulysses S Grant Ronald Reagan Edgar Allan Poe Mark Twain
