  1. was reading on P&B that Gretna are supposed to be signing a young defender from Real Mallorca (Aurelio Collin) and a premiership striker. looking for info on Collin, it seems he is only 21 and has been farmed out to French 2nd and 3rd division sides for the last couple of years - no mention of him on the Mallorca website. As for Dickov, many on P&B believe that his wage demands are too high even for the (formerly) free-spending Gretna and that they are looking to sign Carl Finnigan or Andy Carroll on loan rather than Dickov. seems quite a few Gretna fans have noticed that the spending at Gretna has stopped in its tracks .... free flow of cash all through the leagues but virtually nothing spent to strengthen the squad for SPL. I guess the 500K payoff that alexander is allegedly looking for and the rumour that Mileson Snr is no longer holding the purse strings may be true.
  2. Our strike force was blunt last week so I would expect him to make his debut, possibly alongside Dean McDonald or maybe Bayne.
  3. the same way you always do ! :015:
  4. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Adonis ..... or maybe .... wait, no, I think it must be this one ......
  5. we do not allow direct links to pirate footage of SPL games. Furthermore, we will also delete links to sites that provide/display additional links to pirate or P2P sites !!! [please note: we are unable to monitor what individual users converse about privately via personal messages. ]
  6. wb latviaman - you managed to get your account sorted out then :004: I have only been gone 4 years but I noticed change each of the three times I have been back .... and not all of it for the better !
  7. You make a very good point, one which I had not considered. Any songsheet would not technically be a CaleyThistleOnline document. However, as we would be hosting it for those who wrote it we would have to consider the content when making a decision on whether we would be able to do that. I personally dont have a problem with most swear words but I am sure there are those that do, especially if they have younger kids. As this site can be viewed by kids and adults alike then I would be a little wary of certain swear words appearing in full. It might be an option to produce the songsheet with offending words asterisked out - I am sure most people would figure it out if you left in the first letter. might that be an acceptable compromise ?
  8. With him having his own website and Deano acknowledging that the first thing he did when he heard of ICT's interest in him was to surf the net for info, seems we have a couple of new players not scared to embrace technology. Hopefully Marius can now have someone translate his site into English as I am sure none of us are that hot at Romanian even if the online translators do sometimes produce some humorous results !!!
  9. If there are to be songsheets then we are more than willing to put them up here in word or PDF format for people to print off. Almost everyone must have access to a printer and even if a few dozen folk printed off 3 or 4 copies each it would probably be enough.
  10. I never thought I would ever type these words, but I support Rangers 100% on this matter. The fact that they have their own well documented problems with sectarianism is no reason to brush off legitimate complaints about racism from other opponents nor should it mean that other teams can get away with it. If Beasley or other players have been subjected to racist abuse then UEFA have to deal with it in as strong a manner as they will hopefully deal with Rangers (and any other teams) when they show their sectarian leanings.
  11. If we are going to lose the opening game of the season, then I would far rather it was against Celtic or Rangers rather than the likes of St Mirren, Falkirk, Gretna, or Motherwell who we absolutely have to take points from at home. Having said that, from the video footage I managed to see on the day of the match we were pretty cr@p !!!
  12. ...and it will. like many 'redundant' threads, it will stop getting posts and slowly slip to the second page of threads ... once there the next step is obscurity !
  13. what absolute nonsense. (not your statement LG, the reasoning) ..... guess I must be in grave danger every week when this one (supplied by the club) starts making its way round BMO field [attach=1] [attach=2]
  14. he will be here in spirit :004:
  15. hope he doesnt send that ... its 12 goals in 28 appearances ...... :004:

    Club Nickname

now that we are in the SPL it seems from newspaper/media reports that our 'name' tends to be Inverness or Inverness CT and our nickname is any one of Caley, Thistle, or Caley Thistle agree with others that say a nickname develops ..... on the club info page we list the nickname as "Caley Jags"
  17. No. the Rangers players are not there to be abused, they are there to play football. Abuse and swearing does not equal atmosphere. You can have a singing section that rips the **** out of the opposition without it becoming (extremely) abusive but if you are abusing the players and exacerbating that abuse by adding on copious amounts of swearing then you deserve to be chucked out.
  18. To be fair, he wasnt bad. seemed to be up for this game. thats the point, it upsets and annoys the opposition players. dont get confused though - goalmouth was covered in confetti that the club blasted out of cannons at the start of the game, it was corner flag area where the streamers mostly landed. Claudio Reyna (ex-Rangers) is probably the only player on an opposition team who went down to the corner and wasnt fazed - guess when you are an important player at Rangers (with your very important work permit) nothing fazes you !!! For the LA game, Landon Donovan was the target as earlier in the week he had called on Toronto fans to "bring it on" when asked about how he would deal with the 'hostile' reception that awaits away players ..... thats why many of the streamers were pink
  19. Danny Dichio has agreed to DJ the end of season "U-Sector" supporters club event - should be excellent. supposedly he learned to DJ a few years ago and does it as a hobby !
  20. At the end of the day, online petitions like these have zero impact on who they are aimed at. It is our little way of asking for and receiving solidarity from our own and other teams' supporters. What is more important is that Alan Savage and David Stewart have all their facts, figures and reasons ready for the appeal and if there are a couple of comments in there that strike a chord with them as an angle they can pursue then it will have succeeded. PS - I know that several hundred Toronto FC supporters have signed it - solidarity indeed, although they are considering starting one to have Colin Samuel's permit revoked :rotflmao:
  21. yeah, dont think we are getting the full package - mentioned something about no studio discussions etc .... will see it on freeview for a few weeks and if it gives me the live SPL games each weekend and the SPL highlights then I am gonna be happy. just need to get the audio side sorted now considering BBC are still forced to black out most games.
  22. Caley Thistle of course ..... and Toronto FC since i now live here. Amazing to have been present at the birth of not one but two teams who have been a breath of fresh air to their respective leagues.
