Polls are in the usual place ..... see the match report or the POLL on the right side of the page on the main site. - the early start meant I didnt start my usual matchday thread with links, vbut hopefully normal service resumed next week
  3. This may be what Chick Young was referring to when he said on air that ICT would have to help Rangers identify those singing inappropriate songs today as many of those in the away end did not have their tickets supplied by Rangers. I believie the club could get into deep **** for this practice.
  4. good old intelligent ads - identifies keywords on the page and shows them accordingly .... all this talk of permits etc brings them up and mentions of canada also does that too. - anyhoo, back to the topic ........
  5. I heard that on RS too ..... and from the way that CY was describing it it may not only be Rangers in trouble ..... according to Chick, Rangers "will have to work with ICT to figure out who was using some of the tickets" as many supporters appear to be Inverness based supporters who did not obtain their tickets from Rangers FC !!!!
  6. known as the height and scheidt formula i believe :015:
  7. dont think anyone is reading this thread - all the action is in the Niculae one ....... definitely good news, not only a healthy profit but also an undertaking from the chairman to make the experience better for the fans ... two thumbs up :021:
  8. I have a different view ....... I dont think Charlie is looking to get rid of any of them !!!! He is merely making a comment that tells them they need to be performing every week as he has plenty people to replace them if they are not. If any were to be 'moved on' for any reason then some combination of Morgan, McBain, Hart or Vigurs seem the most likely - for different reasons. Black - potentially our best midfielder. not going to get rid unless we get a huge offer Cowie - just signed him so not going anywhere Duncan - under-rated defensive midfielder. cant see him going anywhere Hart - cant see him going unless there is a problem when the police finally report on the rockness incident McBain - another sometimes under-rated player but could be down the pecking order on the left similar to Golly's situation. Morgan - 6 months to prove himself. if anyone, the comment might have been aimed here. Paatelainen - new signing, cant see him going anywhere. Rankin - along with Black, one of our playmakers. not going anywhere. Sutherland - exciting youngster. not going anywhere, even on loan. Vigurs - just promoted from youths, if he goes anywhere it will only be a loan Wilson - too old to go anywhere (sorry Barry). getting testimonial a year early and making subtle hints that he may retire.
  9. ..... shame there is no picture of you on the BBC website or inside your book - I could have used it for comparison :015: :015:
  10. see THIS POST for links to the explanation
  11. A Freudian slip that they also made at least a dozen times last season too ....... Charles, I am very appreciative of the BBC now that I live over here. I get BBC World News on TV, BBC Canada on TV for things like Little Britain and other quirky shows, and during the football season I enjoy being able to listen over the Internet to RG and the sportsound panel and even hear your own dulcet tones from time to time when the games arent blocked (which is not the BBC's fault as I have said on numerous occasions). Heck, I've even been know to listen to Traynor which is not something I ever did when I lived in the country ! I dont even blame them (BBC Scotland) for closing down the predictor in the light of recent phone-in scandals despite the fact that the predictor is an online game with no phone-in element and which would be hard to rig. They are only following orders from on-high All in all, highlighting this frequent mistake doesnt constitute 'open season' from ICT fans, just frustration at an often repeated mistake :004: Perhaps Ian Rankin could get Inspector Rebus to investigate work permits !!!
  12. Perhaps the reaction - and our hurried buttons with links to the petition - are because we are under the impression that the permit had already been rejected almost instantaneously because of the 75% rule .... not a month after we signed him !
  13. Totally different. As far as I know, Richard was born in Canada but brought up in UK and doesnt require any permits.

  18. I think its kind of ludicrous .... I can understand why the EU allows immigration restrictions to be put in place by member states for the first 7 years of a new country's membership of the EU (even though it can be applied arbitrarily - eg. we did it for Bulgaria and Romania but not Poland) . I can even understand the rule about 75% of international games (although I don't necessarily agree with it) However, I simply dont see why the 75% rule is a blanket rule, especially as Romania are a lot higher in the FIFA rankings than Scotland and probably have hundreds of players who would be able to compete at the same or higher level than those at SPL clubs. If Romania play 4 fixtures a year, less than 20 players could actually manage to reach 75% of fixtures ! It is quite clear that Niculae is not an 'economic migrant' like some who might try and come here from new EU member states. It is also clear that his pedigree is pretty good despite not playing in 75% of his country's fixtures in the last two years. And it is further clear that ICT could not purchase a player like this in the domestic market as we could not afford it ..... so c'mon bureaucrats - sign the papers !!!!!
  19. We got some pictures from Trevor Martin too -- should be up soon.
  20. I emailed them some feedback of course :023:
  21. thats a shame - i finished quite high up last year - in the top 50 !!! but for those who dont already know - our SPL PL is quite similar ....... no jokers, but other than that its also based on the scores from the SPL each week........ see prediction league thread for details of how to join.
  22. I actually dont think that ICT prices are that bad .... for season tickets at least. Its the 'walk-up' prices for individual tickets that are a bit high and that affects a fair number of regular supporters who either cant afford season books or who cant justify them because they may live out of town and only make half a dozen games per year. the club have addressed the lump sum renewal cost of the tickets by initiating the direct debit scheme and if they could come up with a 'flex pack' that allows fans to buy a pack of tickets (at season ticket prices) for something like 6 or 8 'B' fixtures that they could use over the course of a complete season then I would say their ticketing policy would be fairly spot on. For the flex pack you would just swap a "paid" voucher for a ticket for one of the games (subject to availability). Adding "unpaid" vouchers to the pack for "A" class games would also be a way to give those supporters a way to qualify for priority for OF games. as a matter of interest ........ Based on 19 home games .... Adult Main stand = ?330 = ?17.37 per ticket compared to ?25/?27 on the day Adult North/West stand = ?280 = ?14.74 per ticket compared to ?20/?22 on the day Senior/Student Main Stand = ?205 = ?10.79 per ticket compared to ?20/?22 on the day Senior/Student North/West stand = ?150 = ?7.89 per ticket compared to compared to ?15/?17 on the day Child Main Stand = ?130 = ?6.84 per ticket compared to ?20/?22 on the day Child North/West stand = ?80 = ?4.21 per ticket compared to compared to compared to ?15/?17 on the day 'Centenary' Child Main Stand = ?60 = ?3.16 per ticket compared to ?20/?22 on the day 'Centenary' Child North/West Stand = ?45 = ?2.50 per ticket compared to ?15/?17 on the day Family (1 adult 1 child) = ?260 = ?6.84 each per ticket compared to compared to ?22/?26 on the day for 1 adult/1 child Family (1 adult 1 'centenary' child) = ?245 = ?6.45 each per ticket compared to ?22/?26 on the day for 1 adult/1 child Family (1 concession/1 child) = ?160 = ?4.21 each per ticket compared to ?20/?24 on the day for 1 concession/1 child Family (1 concession/1 'centenary' child) = ?145 = ?3.81 each per ticket compared to ?20/?24 on the day for 1 concession/1 'centenary' child
  23. It will be an homage to our real Romany and therefore not sectarian :015: :015: We dont do petitions, we do bitching, moaning and complaining and this subject has had a lot of all of those !!! The club have heard all the points made by fans ... now its time to see if they listened !!! anyhow, this thread is about sectarianism and the move to deduct points if it happens - lets keep singing section and stewarding conversations to the relevant threads !
