  1. This is mostly for Canada Bob, LuvGravy, Glebeict, Scarlet Pimple and a few others located in Canada ........ SETANTA will finally be coming to Canada on AUGUST 11. It will be on 'freeview' until the end of August and then $14.99 per month after that ......... more details here : http://blog.canoe.ca/remotecontrol and Canadian listings should be available on setanta.com in the next few days.
  2. ......"We had a few words later on. He threw out his elbow so I pushed him and then he started saying to me, 'Come on'. I just shook my head and said, 'I'm not scared of you'. It was nothing too crazy."....... :rotflmao:

The LOGIN/LOGOUT issue is one thing that unfortunately will not go away and happens because we are using two different systems for the site and the forum which were not designed to work together. We have a 'bridge' in place which means you are logged into the site when you login to the forum and vice versa but for some reason it sometimes doesnt log you into everything. The other alternative is to have everything completely separate and that would be worse ! we will continue to look for a solution - but it wont be a quick one !
  4. ok - lets just refresh people's knowledge here as it has been a while. It is NOT ALLOWED to post links to sites that have live coverage of SPL games in violation of copyright and these will be removed. Joost - appears to be a legal service that is offering channels with their consent so thats ok iTVN - is a subscription based partner of Setanta for broadcasting via IPTV in the US so thats also ok HOWEVER: sites offering links to "asian networks" are invariably breaking copyright and we do not allow links to them to be posted here. we will delete these links from postings and persistent offenders may end up having posts moderated or in extreme cases banned.
  5. just clicked the SKY score ticker and this page came up about our former player http://www.skysports.com/football/player/0...0_38975,00.html. Poor Mark, moving to Glasgow may have been good for his wallet, but not for his looks .....
  6. would be a more impressive page if the guy actually had the power of literacy ..... fenyin ???
  7. Charlie says he'll make changes for next week .... given that the Niculae appeal is on wednesday , heres my lineup for next week Fraser Tokely Caff Munro Hastings <------- we dont have much in the way of choice Sutherland Hart Black Paatelainen Niculae McDonald

Polls are in the usual place ..... see the match report or the POLL on the right side of the page on the main site. - the early start meant I didnt start my usual matchday thread with links, vbut hopefully normal service resumed next week
  9. This may be what Chick Young was referring to when he said on air that ICT would have to help Rangers identify those singing inappropriate songs today as many of those in the away end did not have their tickets supplied by Rangers. I believie the club could get into deep **** for this practice.
  10. good old intelligent ads - identifies keywords on the page and shows them accordingly .... all this talk of permits etc brings them up and mentions of canada also does that too. - anyhoo, back to the topic ........
  11. I heard that on RS too ..... and from the way that CY was describing it it may not only be Rangers in trouble ..... according to Chick, Rangers "will have to work with ICT to figure out who was using some of the tickets" as many supporters appear to be Inverness based supporters who did not obtain their tickets from Rangers FC !!!!
  12. known as the height and scheidt formula i believe :015:
  13. dont think anyone is reading this thread - all the action is in the Niculae one ....... definitely good news, not only a healthy profit but also an undertaking from the chairman to make the experience better for the fans ... two thumbs up :021:
  14. I have a different view ....... I dont think Charlie is looking to get rid of any of them !!!! He is merely making a comment that tells them they need to be performing every week as he has plenty people to replace them if they are not. If any were to be 'moved on' for any reason then some combination of Morgan, McBain, Hart or Vigurs seem the most likely - for different reasons. Black - potentially our best midfielder. not going to get rid unless we get a huge offer Cowie - just signed him so not going anywhere Duncan - under-rated defensive midfielder. cant see him going anywhere Hart - cant see him going unless there is a problem when the police finally report on the rockness incident McBain - another sometimes under-rated player but could be down the pecking order on the left similar to Golly's situation. Morgan - 6 months to prove himself. if anyone, the comment might have been aimed here. Paatelainen - new signing, cant see him going anywhere. Rankin - along with Black, one of our playmakers. not going anywhere. Sutherland - exciting youngster. not going anywhere, even on loan. Vigurs - just promoted from youths, if he goes anywhere it will only be a loan Wilson - too old to go anywhere (sorry Barry). getting testimonial a year early and making subtle hints that he may retire.
  15. ..... shame there is no picture of you on the BBC website or inside your book - I could have used it for comparison :015: :015:
  16. see THIS POST for links to the explanation
  17. A Freudian slip that they also made at least a dozen times last season too ....... Charles, I am very appreciative of the BBC now that I live over here. I get BBC World News on TV, BBC Canada on TV for things like Little Britain and other quirky shows, and during the football season I enjoy being able to listen over the Internet to RG and the sportsound panel and even hear your own dulcet tones from time to time when the games arent blocked (which is not the BBC's fault as I have said on numerous occasions). Heck, I've even been know to listen to Traynor which is not something I ever did when I lived in the country ! I dont even blame them (BBC Scotland) for closing down the predictor in the light of recent phone-in scandals despite the fact that the predictor is an online game with no phone-in element and which would be hard to rig. They are only following orders from on-high All in all, highlighting this frequent mistake doesnt constitute 'open season' from ICT fans, just frustration at an often repeated mistake :004: Perhaps Ian Rankin could get Inspector Rebus to investigate work permits !!!
  18. Perhaps the reaction - and our hurried buttons with links to the petition - are because we are under the impression that the permit had already been rejected almost instantaneously because of the 75% rule .... not a month after we signed him !
  19. Totally different. As far as I know, Richard was born in Canada but brought up in UK and doesnt require any permits.
