think the point is that the whole Fraser/V-sign/Booing talk over the last week was because his kicking was bad against St Mirren - in the eyes of those doing it at any rate.

something about smelling him over the phone after he had been out for a run ... believe it was a play on words regarding the term "fartlek" [link]

is it me or have they been all over the place for HT reports EXCEPT Tannadice !!! too much talking about Charlie Bannerman's bodily functions and not enough time preparing for the half time report Mr Spence :018: :018:

It will be interesting to hear comments from those who were actually at the game as so far the commentators have made the point (in some cases several times) that 1. Brewster's tactics are spot on 2. Black is impressing the commentators so far this season as he has curbed his yellow card count. 3. Black has scored a world class goal today 4. Fraser is having an excellent game 5. Fraser's kicking is both accurate and excellent 6. The defence is performing solidly

In "Post Reply" , the message hangs around in the box.

after you reply it should take you straight back to the thread/forum ...... the process is type reply > click post > box will be shaded out as the reply is added to the database > page will refresh back to the thread/forum (depending on the settings in your profile) there can be a delay if we have a lot of users on the site as you are writing something to the database each time you post and may end up in a queue if others are accessing that particular database table by viewing or posting in the same thread but normally its only a fraction of a second for me ..... the delay is a limitation of several factors - the software itself (minor limitation) and our hosting service (responsible for most delays) ..... -- edit : timed this post when I submitted it ... 1.4 seconds ! -

McAllister !!! not sure about that but can maybe see why he is on the list .... so long as we are talking of Gary here and not Rory :015: The Telegraph lists the candidates as McAllister, Souness, Aitken, McGhee, Calderwood, Levein and Billy Davies (touted by Craigie Broon) ... The Scotsman has a scattergun approach and is showing odds for everyone except IHE .... http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=1860992007 Of the Telegraph list I would give credence to McAllister, Aitken, McGhee and Levein but cant see the last two leaving club posts for it at a stage of their managerial careers where it might be too early. That would leave Aitken and McAllister and I would be happy with either as both were good leaders at club and country level ..... Aitken is my first choice though.

interesting post MacBandy ... I can see this thread being one of the busiest ones on here in the next few days as people both agree and disagree with you in equal measure and with (extremely) forthright opinions. so here's mine ! - again, none of this comes from any official sources, just putting 2+2 together from various places (and perhaps getting 5 for an answer too). nope. the rumblings are that CC offered his resignation a long time (and maybe even several times) before it happened or was accepted so what makes sense to me is that the club had a backup plan if he actually walked. However, CC has always been loyal to a fault with ICT so he didnt walk and in the end may have had the decision made for him. cant buy this. the team has not been renowned for troublemakers before and although some might be a little unhappy at the wages being quoted for MN, the rumblings are that it is not as huge a problem to the players or between the players as it seems to be to the fans ! cant buy this either. ICT has always been a team with a good spirit. I would agree there are problems at the club right now, but the unity of the team has always seemed good so if there is any divisions it is of a "them and us" type between management/directors and staff. I could buy into this as Brewster does seem to be more of a disciplinarian or maybe it was just "jobs for the boys" as speculated elsewhere. I can buy into this too . Brewster definitely has his own style and some like it and some dont - as we have seen. I do believe he is in it for the long haul this time and wont be swayed by other offers but the question remains as to whether he is up to it. He probably IS getting the blame for some of the problems that were evident before he arrived but if he is to win the fans over he has to start showing them its working ...... we havent seen that yet. Interesting to note in another thread that Robbo is in Scotland pondering his future. I posted on here weeks ago about him leaving Derry and Kenny going back there .... Will Robbo go to the Pars ? or will it be more convoluted with Irons going to the Pars and Robbo to Gretna ? either way, I wouldnt be surprised if Park ends up with him as his assistant again. He was also part of the setup in good times ! The Robbo connection makes more sense to me. Agree that things werent working, but maybe, as speculated by others, the problems start further up the food chain ! However, everything at the club is now more cloak and dagger than ever and just leads to all of us coming out with conspiracy and counter-conspiracy theories ! there is no communication any more and the club could make things a lot better by actually talking truthfully to the fans a little more. I have no doubt that a large portion of CB's problems at DUFC had their origins elsewhere but it looks like he has jumped into a similar situation here ! lets hope he can remove those problems and show us what he can actually do ... or if he can do it. it makes me really sad and at times angry to see the turmoil at a club I have supported since its birth, especially when I know how good things were even a short time ago ...... I sincerely hope that people with the club at heart take a good look at whats going on, repair the things that are not working and allow us to continue our progression ... this is the first time in 14 years that we seem to be going backwards developmentally and it is not pleasant !

to be fair, he already did ..... before it happened !

Zibi can be good, in fact he can be excellent (at times) .... However, he can also be shocking, abysmal and clueless. The big problem seems to be that you never know which one is turning up as he is not consistently one or the other. As a backup at short notice, he was probably a half decent signing but I hope no-one sees him as a long term signing or a permanent replacement for Mike as that would really be the cherry on top of the crap cake we have been served this past few weeks.

170 for Vancouver? or for Toronto/Montreal? I would suggest also looking directly at Zoom, AirTransat, FlyGlobespan, & Thomas Cook Airlines. I think Canadian Affair tend to use either Globespan or Thomas Cook but I have also seen Zoom offer $199 CDN each way (Toronto) at certain times and that is only £99. Also - with cheap flights available to London, it might be worth looking at things like AirTransat out of Gatwick as they can often be cheaper than Glasgow/Edinburgh/Manchester. havent heard that one over here, but then again, its unlikely to be reported in Toronto ! Canadian skies are not as 'liberated' as European ones so I would guess that if there is such a service coming then it would be operated by someone like BMI (a 'star alliance member') on a 'codeshare' with Air Canada (another star alliance member) so you would end up with Inverness - London via BMI, and then Air Canada to Nova Scotia either directly or via Toronto/Montreal. The involvement of Air Canada would mean it would not be cheap ! one point to note - cheap fares like you get on Ryanair, EasyJet, BMI are not generally available within Canada so get yourself as close to where you want to go as possible .... my friends were amazed when i told them how much our internal european flights cost last year as you have to drop down into the states to get anything half as good as any of those deals.

think that would be a bad decision too ..... these guys seem to have loads of potential ... way more than some other youngsters.

welcome to the board brother. think you will find that for once, Rory (and Mike) is getting a lot of support on this 5 page long thread ..... http://www.caleythistleonline.com/communit...opic=5403.0;all

may seem like a shame but you cant have it both ways. There was a problem, the club and the bus company appear to have listened and put a mechanism in place that may solve the problem and if these kids walked or were dropped off pre-game then common sense or not, the onus is not on the bus driver to give them a lift

IHE, you are right !
