  1. Falkirk substitution - Craig on for O' Donnell in 19 mins - BBC site reports ICT with 67% of the play
  2. Starting lineups ... no place for Rankin OR Black [attachment deleted by admin]
  3. Opinions are fine, even when they differ from yours ... but this doesnt sound like an opinion, its sounds more like prolonged and systemic abuse
  4. OK - the re-organisation has been done as no-one lodged any reasons for it not to be done !!! Now only 3 categories - Announcements, Football and Other Announcements now a single forum within the announcements category Football forums now re-organised so that there are only 3 forums inside the football category - ICT / NON-ICT / Rumours All other forums moved into the Other category - Prediction Leagues, Anything Goes, Tech Support etc. I have also deleted the DEAD POOL and moved the single thread from that forum to Anything Goes.
  5. Brown Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Duncan Black Morgan Dargo Bayne subs: Fraser McCaffrey Hart / Keogh Rankin McSwegan
  6. received this from Kilmarnock (via the club). Adults £19.00 Concessions £13.00 (students on prod of matric card, over 65’s and under 18s) Under 12’s £5.00 (as long as they are accompanied by a full paying adult) It will be pay at the gate on the day.
  7. If that is the case then please tell me how they can justify selecting Graeme 'Grim' Smith ahead of Mark Brown as I truly cannot figure that one out. I am not naive enough to think that Brown would be selected as the #1 keeper - to suggest this is looking through truly ICT tinted specs. I wouldnt even be upset if he wasnt in the squad because Walter had half a dozen keepers turning in performances that would keep him out of the squad. However that is clearly not the case ... Mark Brown has turned in exceptional performances for ICT since the day he signed for us. He had one dip in form that lasted for a few games but that is it, the rest of the time he has been immense.
  8. yours is the 10th anniversary of the 20th anniversary of your 21st birthday :015: :015: :015: ... Its Mantis' one thats hard to work out :015:
  9. Shouldnt have any effect on speed whatsoever with the exception that the initial forum index page (the one that lists all the different forums) might load a fraction quicker as there are less forums to list.
  10. just celebrating the 19th anniversary of my 21st birthday :015:
  11. yet another reason why 'ambitious' players may not see their future with ICT ... If you are good enough for the national setup, it shouldnt matter what team you play for .... but the criteria seems to still be that you have to be both good enough and play your football south of Perth.
  12. After a chat with CaleyD we decided to merge the 3 Anything Goes forums into one. So the Anything Goes, Old Folks and Youth Club are now all together as part of Anything Goes. The level of use didnt warrant separate forums. We are proposing to make the follwing additional changes but want to get site users' opinions about the main football forums before we do this ANNOUNCEMENTS - We will be merging the two announcement forums into a single forum called announcements. The club no longer send us any announcements so there is not much point having an announcement forum for that and as we dont make too many site announcements, anything they did send would not get lost in the crush !! [COMPLETED] FOOTBALL FORUMS - We propose to merge 'on the park' and 'off the park' into a single 'ICT' forum. This would leave the football forums as ICT / NON-ICT / and RUMOURS - a reasonable mix and quite easy to work out where your postings should go ... discuss ANYTHING GOES - We have already merged this forum as indicated above - you now have ANYTHING GOES & MEMORIES. We can add more if it is ever required. [COMPLETED] PREDICTION LEAGUES - We have moved the 'betting box' forum that is used for the NAP competition into the Prediction Leagues as it is essentially a prediction League. This gives us GRINGO's NPL and BETTING BOX. We propose to delete the DEAD POOL as Bronson has not logged in since 7th July - unless someone else wants to take it over. TECHNICAL SUPPORT - Going to merge SITE / GENERAL tech forums into a single forum unless anyone has any problems with this ? [COMPLETED]
  13. :015: :015: :015: Not Guilty Myself and CaleyD had been chatting about reorganising some of the forums - after a few polite requests from some site users and scathing attacks from others - and came to the conclusion that we would merge the AG, OldFolks, and Youth Club into a single AG forum as there really was no need for all 3 of them. (seemed like a good idea at the time but probably not required). We are also contemplating merging ICT "on the park" and ICT "off the park" into a single ICT forum which would leave the football forums as ICT, NON-ICT, and RUMOUR MILL. I think I will also delete Bronson's 'Dead Pool' forum as he doesnt seem to be around - unless anyone else wants to take it over. Please do not answer this in this thread - I will be starting a separate thread to guage opinion before we go any further
  14. I am sure that we wouldnt argue that the club needs extra staff in certain areas - but lets not go down the route of throwing them in all over the place because other clubs do it. Lets not forget just how lovely a balance sheet ET maintains every year. :010: :010:
  15. 40 ... mmm, it doesnt feel any different :023: .... I still dont feel a day over 60 :019: :019: :019: BEERS ?? Oh yes .... unfortunately, I have to work today, but at least fridays are 'casual fridays' so its jeans and ICT polo shirt, drinking coffee from my ICT mug and resting my mouse on my ICT mousemat .... before jumping into the car later, putting on my ICT Baseball cap and driving home (you would never tell I bought up half the shop when i was over recently would you :015: :015:). Once I get home its time to ditch the car and head for several beers and a meal with the missus (a new Argentinian restaurant near our house) ... thanks for all your kind wishes ... and Richard ... :blah01:
  16. Official site uses the Press Association for stats/profiles whereas we rely on Ian Broadfoot / Bryan Munro :004:
  17. Australia benefitted from the old system by beating footballing greats such as Samoa and others who they stuck 25 goals past etc ..... and actually went from 42nd before the world cup to 33rd after it. The new ranking system seems quite sensible actually and does away with all sorts of complicated scenarios that gave out points for all sorts of reason including the mere fact that the team travelled to an away game !!! ..... (see attachment 1). The biggest thing that will have benefitted Scotland is the fact that the rankings are now based on the last 4 years and not 8. Comparison of Oz and Scotland rankings in attachment 2 [attachment deleted by admin]
  18. And he sends us a bill for 50 quid each time he posts a comment :015:
  19. As it relates to our own club, I would like to see a situation where the supporters trust liaise closely with club officials to ensure fair treatment for all. This would protect the club from accusations of persecution/victimisation and also protect fans from being treated differently depending on who they are or where they sit. What happens at other clubs/grounds should be of no consequence to us until we establish our own procedures and standards within the framework of the current laws of the land (people in glasshouses... etc). If we do not ensure this law is used only when necessary or when an actual offence has taken place we will drive even more fans away from Scottish football and a club of our size cannot afford to do that. This is not a call to ignore the law, but a plea for it to be used consistently and fairly. We have all heard of instances - reported on this site when it was still official - where individual supporters have felt victimised by certain stewards, or been on the wrong end of over-officious treatment. We have also heard that individuals in other areas of the ground have got away with things that on the face of it seem far worse just because of the differing interpretations of laws or 'rules', what is (or is not) seen as acceptable by different stewards, or simply - in the case of certain groups of away supporters - because there are too many of them for the stewards to cause a fuss. When things are dealt with in so many different ways there is no way anyone can claim that there is any consistency in applying them and unfortunately this leaves the door open for wrongdoers to justify their behaviour by saying 'but he/she got away with it'. I was very vocal when I heard of the treatment one of my friends received late last year, especially as I knew that the accusations being levelled at him were complete tripe. However, no-one came out of this smelling of roses - the fan was upset, disillusioned and embarrassed, the club had no official process in place for dealing with complaints of this nature and were accused of ignoring eye witness reports and condoning a well documented case of victimisation, and the stewarding company and steward involved had numerous accusations fired at them too. If a situation is cut and dried then I have no issue with the offending supporters being dealt with in a manner that is appropriate to the level of their 'offence', but in a situation like this, where there were claims and counter-claims made by all sides, it was a no-win situation and I feel that it would have worked out far more amicably and looked way more professional if there was a procedure in place for dealing with incidents that were disputed. With this new law, there is the potential for a lot more incidents that will be disputed as - in my opinion - when you give 'untrained' members of the public extra powers, those powers will inevitably be abused in the end (by some). My own feelings are that an official body such as the Supporters Trust should work with the Club to try and implement some sort of 'review board' that could investigate situations that were not 'cut and dried' and ensure they are dealt with fairly. The supporters trust amongst all its other functions is essentially a pivot point where both the fans and the club can go to discuss things that are for the benefit of all or where either side can raise concerns that need to be passed to or discussed with the other. The website also has a role to play but only as a conduit or information source. Because of the nature of this or any other website and the large scale anonymity that a lot of members prefer, there is no way we can claim to represent the views of large numbers of fans ... instead, we aim to provide a platform where individual fans can give their opinions, discuss issues relating to the club, or highlight their experiences. discuss ......... ?
  20. Thats exactly my point. Whether it is 2 fans or 2500 fans there needs to be consistency, otherwise the spectre of 'victimisation' rears its ugly head. Whether it is 2 or 2500 you have to treat the people the same even if you have to handle the actual logistics differently. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying that what we do (or dont do) to 'groups' should dictate that individuals get away with racist or offensive behaviour, but if you are going to single out individuals who are misbehaving then you cannot suddenly look the other way when groups of people start singing sectarian songs and then claim its the same treatment for all.

I said I was 100% behind CC as the 'right man for the job' before he even applied and I still firmly believe that he will develop into an excellent manager. I was even more sure of this when he managed to get Parkie as his assistant. Even if I had not agreed with his appointment, I dont think he has yet had time to prove anyone right or wrong beyond any doubt. However, we are all entitled to our opinions and Bonzo, I choose to disagree with yours. One of us will be proved right in the end and I hope (for both Charlie and the club's sake) it is me and those others who support Charlie as manager. Other than a couple of dodgy results, I really cant see anything Charlie has done wrong and there is not a manager in the country that can claim to have got it right 100% of the time. 5 wins on the trot at the end of last season without conceding a goal (an SPL record) and a decent start to this season with the exception of the St Mirren game where, yes, I think he got things a little wrong (and I am sure he knows that) is not a bad start to a managerial career. Where you might have a point is in his profile. Although he did once ply his trade at Celtic, he is very much a local boy as we know, as is Grassa so there may be merit in your assertion that it will be difficult to attract 'names' to the TCS. This is not Charlie's fault, and I think his recent comments about scouting and such like show he is acutely aware how difficult it is to attract established 'stars' to the club and also shows that he is trying to do something about that by looking at additional methods of getting players. Whilst Robbo and Brewster may have had credentials and contacts from SPL days that made it slightly easier to get players, I prefer to look at the Pele era for signing inspirations. Paterson wasnt all that well known, coming to us from Huntly and also complained about the 'geography factor' on more than one occasion but he managed to sign loads of good players - some gems that were previously unknown, and some whose careers had gone off-track and were 'resurrected' in Inverness. This is probably what Charlie will have to do until we get a scouting system running properly. I have faith in him to get it right.
  22. lowest position was 88th in MARCH 2005 highest position (since 1993) was 20th in various months of 1999 and 2000 attached graph courtesy of FIFA website ... kinda makes you realise just how bad Berti was and what Walter has already done to begin restoring the national pride [attachment deleted by admin]
