Music for the team to run out too
At TFC they use AC/DC "Hell's Bells" which has that malevolent instrumental track underpinning it all the way through. works really well and fires up the crowd to commence the (verbal) battle with the opposition. A similarly hard rock tune might work well for ICT ... Thunderstruck perhaps, or for some fan's maybe Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid' or Ozzy doing 'Crazy Train' ! To stick with the heavy rock theme ... Rainbow 'All Night Long' or maybe someone else ....... ? I do have to say I kind of like the concept of the Sean Connery voiceover preceding an appropriate song .... not sure we could get permission from either Connery or Queen to use it, nor might we be able to afford whatever they would ask for in payment .. but the concept is solid. At TFC one of the fans groups also managed to get Alan Frew from Glass Tiger to re-record 'My Town' at the end of their first season, replacing a lot of the Rod Stewart bits with TFC related stuff .... I liked it but it kind of died off in popularity after the first few years. I resurrected it on my iPhone last year for the cup final though ?

Music for the team to run out too
You mean this one ? (extended mix) I would go with a clip from the faster paced portion of Wolfstone's - 'Battle' or maybe ask one of our own members here to re-mix his cup final song ! If something 'local' is considered 'twee' then how about 'heroes' by Bowie or a little respect by Erasure, both of which are in this video Or maybe 'Miserlou' by Dick Dale and his Deltones as for the original suggestion .... no, no, no, no, no ..... NO !

Player Sponsorship 2018/19
Its time for Player Sponsorship for the 2018/2019 season. PLAYER TO BE SPONSORED: We will once again sponsor LIAM POLWORTH's Home Top. If we reach additional milestones we will look to add sponsorship for other players for 'lesser' items.: COST The cost has been confirmed to us for this coming season as the same as last season so £350+VAT. Other items are also the same as last year so those additional items are listed for reference. If we go well beyond the initial target we will look to sponsor other items as we can. Home Shirt - £350 +vat (420) Away Shirt - £250 +vat (300) Training Top - £100 +vat (120) Boots/Gloves - £100 +vat (120) HOW TO TAKE PART To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus paypal fees) to purchase player sponsorships from the club. We will set all memberships - regardless of when ordered - to end on June 1st of each year. This allows us time each year to gauge the interest in continuing for the following season. The cost to join this group is £11.00 (this amounts to £10.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the aforementioned paypal fees). You may purchase multiple memberships if you wish, just amend the total in your shopping cart and add a note when placing the order if it is to cover family members who may not officially be site members !!! NEW MEMBERS: To join the group simply go to this page http://caleythistleonline.com/store/ or access the CTO Store from the main menu at the top (under shop). All our site membership upgrades are handled securely via Paypal's platform which will accept direct payment from the majority of credit/debit cards so it should be easy enough to upgrade your membership whether you live in Sneck or somewhere thousands of miles from there. RENEWING MEMBERS: You can either use the same process that new members use or, as some have done already when they got a reminder email and invoice, you can do a simple renewal from your account. Go to http://caleythistleonline.com/clients/purchases/ and you should be able to renew from here. If you do not want to renew simply ignore any reminders and you will not be billed. CASH MEMBERSHIPS: We do NOT take cash payments. Everything needs to go through Paypal. Once we know how many members have joined the group, we will make a decision on what gets sponsored. The first item will be the selected player's Home Kit ... but the more members who upgrade to "Player Sponsor" membership, the more we can sponsor. At the end of the season, members of our sponsor group will be selected at random to receive any gifts we may receive from the club and the first selected user can - if they wish - attend the sponsors' event held by the club as our representative. If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade .... EDIT: As questions are raised in the thread, we will clarify any that need a response below: Technically the payment is listed as a 'subscription' when you pay, but that is internal to this site only and is done this way so that in a year's time it will generate an invoice on here allowing existing members to renew (if they wish) or to let it expire. Renewal (or not) is at the user's discretion and as far as paypal is concerned its a one-off payment and there will be no automatic re-billing from their side.

Davie Balfour's End to End by Bike
Davie - I would like to make a donation on behalf of CTO but I use a specific account for my personal online activities. This account does not have Visa or any UK valid debit card attached to it so I cannot use the donation page. I can send to you directly as an EFT from the account or I can pay you via Paypal and have the funds come straight out of my personal account. Let me know.

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
Agree. I think Austin played 1 game when I was last over before going out injured. He didnt score but I saw enough nice touches in that game to think we had picked up a player who might be pretty good for us. If he can stay fit next season I think (hope) he may prove me right.

Gary Warren told he can leave
three things charles 1 - like it or not, CaleyD's criticism is of the club as a whole not individuals. There are individuals running the club, but he has not named any of them specifically and the club itself is not a person therefore criticism of it cannot be personal. Yours on the other hand is entirely personal in nature and in several cases crosses the lines we have in our rules. it cannot continue. Debate the topic, agree, disagree, but when it gets personal its done. You want to counter any claim that he makes about how badly he thinks things are running ... then do so with the other side of the coin if you see it that way .... 2 - Also from our rules ... you seem to be getting offended on behalf of someone else? Posters here are a fairly intelligent bunch and will decide if they agree or disagree with CaleyD's posts. Some will agree with your oft-posted point of view and will dismiss his posts as those of a bitter ex-employee (a point he has corrected in response), whereas others with different experiences may agree with him. Thats for them to decide. However it appears that it is only you who are getting personal about this. Others are debating the topic. 3 - All of this is completely and utterly off topic and it is not the first thread where this has happened between you and CD. It is however the last one. CTO goes wherever the opinions of the members take it. We dont sail a particular direction. Its not rocket science to think that after the pain of relegation that direction would be somewhat negative. If you do decide to give things a miss then that is up to you. I will miss the contributions, but i will not miss your significant role in the current lack of vibrance and constructive mindset that you talk about. its the silly season. thats how it always goes. 3 months with nothing to talk about on-field and plenty of conspiracies and overly personal digs. >Look back to June/July of almost any season and you will see this kind of thing. then look at other teams' fora and you will see the same there too. Yup. I have been on loads of football forums, including P&B, and we are most definitely the most polite. I make no apologies for that. I do however get pissed off myself when some get oversensitive and pissed off on behalf of others ... that does rankle! 25 years of the club ... and 25 years of CTO - definitely something to celebrate next season. think I will leave the last word to Jockdoonsouth ......

ok people - I have had enough of this. You want to get overly personal DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE !!! Whilst everyone is entitled to an opinion and can take and debate whatever position they like in a topic, they are not entitled to cross the line and get overly personal. Rule 1 of the site makes that very clear. If this continues, then those that are making things personal will be put on moderated posting.

Yvonne Crook - New Chief Executive
Whilst I am always wary of nepotism, if its the right fit then its the right fit. Will judge her on initiatives or results that are achieved.

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
If he does not want to move family north for family reasons then maybe that has more to do with it. depending on ages of children it could be quite an upheaval to move them from schools where they are settled, doing well and away from friends etc Not that we are looking ... but I would not want to move house with my own family right now for that very reason.

ICTFC appoints Chief Executive
Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC is delighted to announce the appointment of a Chief Executive to provide strategic leadership and advice to the Board of Directors as the club restructures and looks to become a more community-focused club. Mrs Yvonne Crook is an experienced consultant whose skills in business development, branding and marketing are seen as hugely valuable assets as the club strives to attract new investment and operate in a more business-like and sustainable way. Mrs Crook is owner of View Marketing and a founder and director of Good Highland Food Ltd, which she runs with her husband Mike. She has also held strategic advisory positions for several destinations and visitor attractions in Scotland including Loch Ness by Jacobite as well as Perth Racecourse. Mrs Crook has been advising the Board of Directors for the past six months and has so impressed them with her creativity, energy and professionalism that they have invited her to take on the role of chief executive. Her work has included helping the Board set out the club’s vision for the future and preparing a Business Plan, which will place the club in a stronger position to attract future investment and funding. Chairman Graham Rae said: “Mrs Crook is a highly motivated, business orientated person with considerable success in taking a strategic approach to business and organisational development. She has 20 years experience of branding and repositioning businesses nationally and internationally and we are benefiting hugely from her expertise. She has quickly embraced our business and the Board of Directors look forward to working with her over the crucially important coming months.” Mrs Crook said: “The club has gone through challenging times and has been in need of change. The business planning process has identified new commercial opportunities that I am excited to start working on together with the club management team and the many local businesses that support ICTFC. In addition, the Board has outlined a more community-focused vision which I am proud to be part of. We have exciting plans to rebrand and reposition the club at the heart of the community. Our 25th anniversary gives us a great goal to work towards re-engaging with our supporters and building a great future.”

New kit?
Not that it matters much, but I believe OCG may be right .... Just checked my flight tickets and car hire receipts from last year ... We were in Inverness last year until May 24th and were scheduled to head down the road that day to Edinburgh to fly out to the next leg of our trip the next morning (25th). I had wanted a strip for my little guy before we left but there was none of the new stuff in the shop on the 23rd as the truck had not arrived, so we bought what we needed then actually stopped at the stadium on our way to the A9 the next day (24th), grabbed a few bits and pieces for us all from the truck then headed down the road mid/late afternoon ... Talking to the people manning the truck, apparently it was not going to be far behind us. Not sure if it left on schedule or not, but can certainly attest to the day before and the actual day it was supposed to be there ...

New kit?
at first glance I would say I like it, although the small picture makes it hard to tell close up. My biggest question would be why we are changing both kits in the same year? If it is some kind of 're-jig' to get back into sync after the Carbrini debacle then fair enough, but if it is for any other reason then thats wrong !
-
New kit?
somebody is in trouble ... the pictures were supposed to be embargoed until midnight !
-
New kit?
yes, the Errea truck was great last year too ... we were able to pickup a strip for the little guy before we headed back to Canada. Are Errea treating us better or have they just got their act together ?

Confirmed
His expression is also way cooler than anyone else in the picture .... you can almost see him thinking how 'assertive' he would be had he still been a player

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
Long term injured (achilles and then dislocated shoulder) and coming back with a point to prove .... provided we are giving ourselves a bit of an out clause so we dont have someone on the long term injury list if he gets crocked then that might be ok. As others have said .. young and upcoming players or those coming in with a point to prove are, and always have been our forte ...

Confirmed
I think this is where we post this photo ...... but in all honesty ... He will always be a player that divides opinion within the support. Never going to be a club 'legend' but should certainly be remembered as a skillful and important player for us. I have no animosity towards him going to County (again) especially as football is a short career and he has to look after himself and his family first and foremost. If Roy is going to dig deeper than us then he would be foolish not to accept that. Thanks for what he did ... no move on with our own squad re-shaping.

Special General Meeting - Rescheduled date
Don/Laura/Whoever - as noted there are a growing number of threads ... Would it be prudent to add a CJT subforum or perhaps even a 'clubs' page which can have its own separate sub-site entirely (see here). This would keep things tidy and may have other benefits down the line with making forms or other documents available. The offer is there, if its of interest then we can work it into the summer upgrade plans.

Season Ticket
then maybe they should re-think it ? I am sure someone will correct me if wrong but I understood that the current mob pay a fee to the club regardless of how much or little they sell? They rent the space, the rest is up to them. The club really has no risk involved so I dont see why the would be setting prices? If that is not how it works then perhaps it should? rent out multiple retail spaces within the stadium on a matchday for a fee and let the vendors fight it out in terms of price or quality.
