  1. BBC have replaced STV in the deal. Setanta will still have the live rights and BBC should have a return to Sportscene on a saturday night as well as other highlights packages, as well as online clips.
  2. How'd you arrive at that conclusion? The last time I looked we finished 8th in the league last year, not first! If we had all the things that you've mentioned we would be in Celtic's position. Obviously, this is never going to happen so we must keep trying to improve by signing players like Niculae and other young players to boost our final league position.
  3. Who cares? It's a friendly, not the World Cup final!
  4. That's right, the OF only ever buy players from Scottish clubs. :017: The boy's only been signed with us for one day, and already people are worrying about him leaving FFS! Why don't we leave the boy alone see how good he is on a pitch playing football. At the end of the day he's only going to move to a big club for a big transfer fee if he's very good which will obviously benefit us greatly in the short term.
  5. An offer of £9million is rumoured to have been made, and you don't pay that kind of money for a back-up goalkeeper.
  6. Why not go for it and try our best to sign him? I think we've gone as far as we can with scrimping and saving players form the Highlands and it's about time we took a bit of a gamble with our signing targets. You've got to speculate to accumulate.
  7. And if Sheffield United had stayed up do you think they would be so concerned? No! West Ham may have "taken the ****" but why did the FA take six months to realise? Were they hoping that West Ham were gonna finish mid table and nobody care very much? When they realised they were in a relegation scrap they left themself wide open to this kinda situation. And let's say for example that Sheffield United should be re-instated, we all know the FA have no stones whatsoever with these kinda decisions. Mike Newell says that everyone's taking backhanders from agents, and nothing happens but Gary Neville is fined for celebrating a goal? The FA are too scared of the clubs it seems and will never do anything remotely controversial such as re-instating a relegated club.
  8. That would never work either! If Sheffield United did manage that then every club whose ever been relegated would be after cash for every tiny reason.
  9. No danger that Sheffield United will be allowed back up, rightly or wrongly. All their appeals and protests will do more harm than good to the players they have with the uncertainty and their Championship campaign might suffer initially. We can argue all day about what West Ham's punishment should be but why has it been allowed to drag on for so long? Tevez and Mascherano were signed in August last year but it took the FA until March/April to investigate/charge West Ham. They must have known when the registrations arrived that they were "dodgy" so why wait so long?
  10. £41 and £82 respectively! What an absolute joke for prices to be that high for a qualifier, I bet the frenchies didn't pay that for the WC final!
  11. BBC are showing them live as well as all matches being streamed on FIFA.com
  12. It'll be Serie D sides I imagine, as the Italian season only finished a few weeks ago and doesn't kick off again until late august/early september so pre-season won't e near starting. And we would get humped by lower placed Serie A teams as well as the majority of Serie B teams as well I'd imagine.
  13. If anyone deserves a big move it's Anderson. He's been playing very well in some of the worst Aberdeen teams for decades and probably saved them on a few occasions. I've also heard that he's donating his signing on fee from the move to Aberdeen's youth fund so he seems a decent enough bloke at the same time.
  14. Can't wait for this defensive line up: Naylor Balde Fanni O'Dea
  15. So it wasn't a Donald Finlay-esque sing along then? Or Hartson and Pearson-esque? :blah01:
  16. And the Rugby World Cup is in full swing at that time so Paris will be teaming!! Who says we're gonna get gubbed?
  17. So we can't call a player shyte, not pulling his weight etc anymore? Wouldn't that come under the heading of defamation of character? I would think that what is or isn't said on here would we be well down the list of enquiries for any criminal case, never mind where there are potentially thousands of witnesses. Are there any examples of forum admins or users being taken to court over comments relating to criminal proceedings?
  18. Ah, the joys of freedom of speech! I must admit I am a bit baffled as to why no-one can talk about it on here, would the same censorship be applied if it was on of County's finest caught with drugs? The last time I checked freedom of speech was allowed in this country and no-one has the right to censor someone's opinion.
  19. So by coming with us to a pre-season camp without having signed for us is what? A trial! Although I agree we got exactly what we deserved
  20. I agree on keeping things quiet, although the stories do come out eventually. You have to question Buchanan's ambition if he wasn't prepared to have a trial at an SPL club in order to sign for Partick. Who knows, this could be his only chance of playing in the SPL and he turns that chance down over a trial in order to carry on playing in the Second Division.
  21. How can it be inexperience? We've been buying and selling players for 13 years!! A combination of having no scouts, complete lack of cash and messing players about means that we'll probably end up panic buying again this year. Why do we never get players on pre-contracts? Transfer activity should start in January or before by contacting players in the last six months of their deals. Because when the season ends a lot of good players are already signed to another club or have informally agreed long before. I think next season has the potential to be a long hard struggle if we don't sign four or five quality players, and by quality I don't mean first division shyte from over the bridge!
  22. But without scouts then we're clearly not doing our best!! It's just sheer stupidity not to have a decent scouting network. A club like us is a selling club where we should be looking at younger players to bring on or attracting players like Dargo in order to give them a boost. That's the position we are in at the moment and to have no scouts out looking for players then we're going to constantly miss out on suitable players.
  23. County are shyte and couldn't even stay in the FIRST division, so how are their players gonna survive in the SPL?! Mind you, what do you expect from a club with no scouts? :008:
  24. This is another alternative doing the rounds!!
