POLL: Time to bin Brew?
Sorry! League cup. Millwall were in freefall before Nicholl was appointed. He didn't join them till the february of the season they were relegated. The damage was done, and beyond repair, before he joined them. Why would he be any different here then?

Red or Black?
I won't argue with that Alex, but if we're in the bottom three in January then we must hold onto our best players to keep us up - even that means losing them for nothing at the end of the season. The 50-100 grand bids that we can expect for Blackie and Cowie are a drop in the ocean compared to the loss of income that relegation would bring. It may be better to take the hit now and get some funds, it looks like either way we could be heading back to Dingwall again next season unless we get rid of Mr Ego

Poppies this Saturday.
BBC Story Personally I think it is commendable that all SPL clubs are involved. It's a non-political statement in support of our troops and to those of you who think the government should pay, it matters not a jot to the troops whether the Earl Haig Fund pays or the government pays, ultimately they both get their coffers from you and I, so on Saturday dig deep. PoppyScotland In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

Poppies this Saturday.
i agree with you 100% The charity was set-up before the NHS came into existence so while politicians are not entirely blameless......................................................... ........................ who can blame them?

So easy to say where the 'Buck Stops'!
Not out of business but out of the SPL and there's no way we'll bounce back up. Look at Livi, Pars, St Johnstone, Partick, Dee, etc., etc.....

David Murray puts his foot in it
David Murray has apologised to both teams and stated that his comments were taken out of context by the press. Sorry to take the wind out of your sails but at no time did he refer to bigotry, just the abuse levied by both sets of fans at each other on internet forums. bigotry? sorry the word i was looking for was sectarian, appolagies.......... :018: Thread title says bigotry, here to help.

The players obviously like Brewster too much, let's get him out.

Poppies this Saturday.
Sorry, you've lost me again. Our soldiers, sailors and airmen are not politicians, nor are they representative of politicians. They are in the line of fire for our freedom and that includes our freedom to go to the match on a Saturday. For that matter it's for the freedom of "Johnny foreigner" to play at the match on Saturday too.

Poppies this Saturday.
is this not bringing politics into sport? what about the foreign players playing in our country? i think it's up to people themselves to say if they want to wear a poppy or not it's all right for us scottish folk to wear them with pride but you dont see many chinese or asian folk wearing them dou you? It's about a nation remembering those who risked and many lost their lives defending our countries freedom and that of the free world since the Great War. Money raised helps rehabilitate injured soldiers back into society. So no, it's not politics it's about honouring our forces. the point i was trying to make is that not all the players come from our nation we wear the poppies because we choose to wear it but foreifn people might not want to wear it, there must be at least one German player in the SPL plus their is Nakamura at Celtic, he might not choose to wear a poppy but now he HAS to wear it. The point I'm making is that there have been conflicts around the world since the Great War, at the moment we have troops serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and I'm sure many other hotspots and they are not only serving us but also foreign nationals as they are protecting Freedom. Many of our troops have died in the last few years serving in Afghanistan and Iraq but many more have sustained injuries which will deny them a normal life. I doubt that any self respecting German or Japanese player would be offended if asked to wear a poppy but would probably be more than willing to oblige.

POLL: Time to bin Brew?
I'd love to see him getting the (clear your desk) vote of confidence.

R.I.P. Brookes Mileson
New trading name but same club nonetheless, much the same as Airdrie United (formerly Airdrionians)

Which one? I'm waiting. :thumb04:

So easy to say where the 'Buck Stops'!
I've got a small team at work and if they don't perform well it is my fault for not allowing them to do so. Motivation, training and practice all contribute to a teams performance. The players themselves while we'd all like to think they are motivated are seen daily by their manager and it is his job to ensure they are at the top of their game.

Proctor
Was Brewster therefore tactically inept when he put Duff on for the second half not knowing if he was going to have a stinker?? However as they say in footballing circles 'The boy done good!' The substitution proves that the manager was wrong in the first instance by not playng Duff. Three words we're seeing a lot these days, Brewster, tactically, inept.
-
Novo for Scotland?
Let him play. What's next? ICT shunning fans who weren't born in Inverness? If he wants to play, legally qualifies and is better than what we have, he should be snapped up. How many Scots players have we lost out on to other countries in recent years?

Bring Back Campaign
Without wishing to start a debate can you please substantiate that comment, why are you pretty sure? Would it be ICT or Pele who would block it? And did you think Brewster would be back? Far too much of a risk do you not think, he has got big baggage and has never proved himself at SPL level, Robbo took the team added a couple of players who made a difference and got us up there, so we will never know if Pele would have achieved it. Brewsters return was known long before CC resigned. If you don't know for sure just say, that's fair enough. But don't write Pele off. Ronaldo, Scott was previously at Dundee twice, so can we assume you'd also like to see Pele back? Or would it be Robertson?

Alex Rae
What does that mean? I think he means Grassa but the truth is Grassa would have to get agreement from the Board as it would cost the club money. The fact that the club is losing money at the moment is another issue. Investing in another manager midway through the season can be disruptive in a squad that is performing but IMHO I don't think it would have a negative effect and the right man could win back the dressing room, motivate the players and attract the fans back to the stadium.

TIME OUT PEOPLE
I concur with the previous posters, however I can't get the term "pissing in the wind" out of my head.

Fact - He was the architect of the team that got us promotion to the SPL.
