An opponent who'd been playing for 10 hours solid would still have more strength and pace than a fully fresh Rory, who was also known to be toppled by the Moray Firth breeze. He joins the same illustrious list as Prunty, Bavidge and Barrowman, who have all shone in that division. Can you explain what Prunty and Bavidge have done to deserve your wrath? Barrowman I accept, Rory you are debating but Prunty and Bavidge? What have they done to deserve being pigeon-holed with Barrowman?

That is a good idea and it would be great if bus ST holders got a discount on ICT season tickets.

Whilst it is true that on the continent, the captaincy is not such a big deal (in fact it is said that in Italy the players meet up in the dressing room and decide themselves), in this country it seems to have more influence. As I said in the other thread, I think Grant Munro is a good player and played well throughout last season, but for me he was not and never has been a captain. In all the games I went to last season (which was every home league game, a couple of cup games and the two Dingwall Derbys), I say him shouting...............once. ICT have not had a real captain since Darren Dods left, though I believe that Richie Foran is a good choice and will lead ICT passionately and decisively next season. Great idea if we replacing the squad with Dubliners, or teaching the current squad Erse?

Why do people say that so and so would be good as a squad player? Squad players are those who are taken in to do a job but are not at the level perceived when they were signed. We should (and I'm sure Terry is) be looking to improve the squad rather than just expand it.

The English are not a race, they are a mish mash of hundreds of races mixed together over the years of the British Empire and before that it was Saxons, Normans, Celts, Romans, etc. all mixed together. For want of a better word the English are the mongrel of the British Isles. I don't hate the English but I do love knowing that the sooner they are out of the competition the more gloating can be had taunting those English who live up here and taunt us poor wee Scot's about not even being in the Finals. When they do get knocked out hopefully it will be by a small country with a poor Football pedigree (see what I did there? :D ) so that the level of gloat can rise away above the Royal Standard. Anyone but England? No. Everyone but England!

I hope so, they beat us in each competition in our last SPL season and if Killie go down I think it could literally put them out of business.

This season our target was a return to the SPL, to start with a target of 11th or above is a grave mistake and we fell into that trap a couple of seasons in the SPL. With a bit of jiggery pokery in the pre-season we should be starting with a target of winning the league, a winning mentality is infectious and with a team that hasn't lost in 20 games I see no reason why we can't carry that into the SPL. The argument that the SPL is a different style of football doesn't work because there are two teams on the pitch. To borrow an expression from another poster, Believe!

Can't say I've noticed really, then again I don't watch telly so that might help you too.
