I agree that his family's wishes must be a priority out of respect. I also think a climb would be more appropriate, how many Munros are visible from TCS? Would it be inconceivable to light a beacon on each on the first day of the season? The experienced climbers could advise on which ones were more suited to less mobile participants. Just a thought. I'm not trying to rain on your parade GJr, just considering other options (which could possibly be incorporated into or in addition to a walk).

I really don't see what all the fuss is about. He answered a question about the effect of DFC not being promoted was to his club and obviously they would have had a lot more away fans than ICT. I think that journalistic license may be a bit to blame for how many have interpreted it.

That is a valid point really, until you realise that they'll miss out on part of their pre-season travelling around and negotiating when they could be gelling with their new teams squad. We really need to hit the ground running this season.

Good suggestion. Agreed and an obituary in the matchday programme would be nice. How many fans really follow their dreams? I admire the man for his drive and commitment. May his family find some comfort that he died doing what he loved.

Shearer and Christie have been youth coaches this season and I'd expect them to take on the under 19s too. It would be nice if Barry could be taken on but sentiment isn't how to run a business. Look at Brewster at DUFC, Jocky Scott at Dees, etc., etc., ...

As well as Christie and Shearer? Don't think we have the budget for that.

I agree, it's sad really. Our last game was a bigger crowd because of the surprise musical act. I took 2 children with me who wouldn't normally have gone and I suspect there's a lot of others who did likewise.

Fact is they made it to the final of the Scottish Cup, well done to them. We are in the top league and will be hosting the biggest teams in the land, who do you really think a neutral would rather go and watch? Our home attendances will be up this year and I suspect Counties will have peaked already and will dwindle as next season unfolds. Has this debate no been done to death?

I find it hard to understand the fixation some on here have with County, if their fans had been on here bragging about what they have done or were going to do it might be more understandable but they haven't. Get over yourselves FFS.
