I'll give you Zadi as looking at the game through different eyes (he didn't play badly yesterday, it's more that I worry when he gets put under more pressure in future games) but Proctor? Thought he was awful in that right mid slot. He seemed to move more into a defensive mid position later in the 2nd half where he looked way more comfortable but I thought he had a very poor game overall. In fact, only Barrowman and Proctor would fail to get pass marks from me.

Thought he did very well in the midfield yesterday. Would say he played better than ?4M Brown and way better than Nakamura (who's been off form for well over a year now - complete passenger that should be replaced by his compatriot Mizuno). Bad tackle definitely. Wasn't his first and I'm sure it won't be his last. Puts paid to the lie that he's not committed.

I guess the candidates would be: Proctor: but then again, he's played most games and is a first start for Butcher, so maybe not McGuire: probably most likely but who'd pay his wages? Imrie: if Killie follow up their interest but hopefully not Wood and Duff: if they feel they can get a game elsewhere. Can't see too much point them moving. Djebi-Zadi: with only one SPL start, I would anticipate him clinging on. Aside from that, I can't see the likes of Tokely, Munro, Duncan or McBain wanting to move. Maybe Hastings but as he's been first choice left-back for the whole season, don't see he'd leave except for a particularly good deal.

Barry Robson skinned him. If he was up against Aiden McGeady, he'd have been roasted alive. It was only that he didn't have too many one-on-one's that he was entertaining but not a liability. He couldn't be relied upon.

Scotsman saying Butcher hoping to add two signings. Probably Kerr for one. Steven Smith likely to join Saints so presumably Paterson?

Probably between Morais and Gattheusi for me. Depends if we're attacking or not who we play.

His post match comments are always wonderful. Of course, Strachan's a moaning little f@*!?*r but that's the beauty (I hereby claim my prize for mentioning beauty and Strachan in the same sentence for the first time ever). Frightened the hell out of me. Very entertaining. Not SPL quality, that's for sure. Would only really work as a wing-back or pushed further up.

Milne recently signed a new contract. Can't see it happening now. Maybe if we stay up and StJ don't get promoted...

I thought he was one of those that does very little except score but when he totally lost his nerve and blootered that ball over the bar I changed my mind. A goal scorer would have far more composure than that - even with his confidence down.

While I like the look of Rooney failing to see why all think he is the answer to all our problems up front, Butcher has seen him and Barrowman in training this week and picked Barrowman, why? TB said that a team is only as good as their senior players. Probably thinks that, especially against Celtic and being so low in the table, that experience is what's needed. Hence the dropping of Vigurs. Personally, I'd have Vigurs in for Proctor and Rooney in for Barrowman as, experienced or not, they're just better players.

I can't see Barrowman has done anything today that would make me want him to start next game. This was a big chance for him and he blew it.

The squad strength is better, not our form, our tactics, our management team etc etc that all go up to make the league position. I mean player v player. Falkirk, on that measure, are better than both Saints and Accies but they just aren't gelling. Put together a 'dream team' of those three teams and chances are Falkirk will have most players in it. Also, we're only just getting this team together. Morias and Gattheusi have barely played, Foran not yet fit, Kerr not actually signed and no-one's quite sure about Smith or Paterson.

Foran and Rooney up front for me. Eric also looked good. No other attacker desperately needed now. Zadi can't be trusted at LB (maybe pushed higher up), so need someone on that flank. Hopefully Paterson or Smith. I've never seen Gattheusi play there, so I'm not sure he can. With them and Kerr it's looking a decent squad. Certainly better than the Accies, easily equal to the Saints and possibly even better than Falkirk.

Didn't look like top v bottom that's for sure. Lessons learned: Magics (good nickname) is top drawer - 5 year contract please Tokely can match most of them most of the time Zadi is nowhere near the quality but great for sheer entertainment Black is as committed as ever (as is Duncan) Imrie can go further - knock Killie back, Board Barrowman is just not up to the job but Rooney is Foran looks an assured signing on the basis of the first half Proctor doesn't have the physique for centre-back or the drive for down the right but covered well at defensive midfield

Imrie playing a blinder. Pavels at the back really looks the player we've been missing for so long. Tokely had one or two scares but still pretty imposing. Black and Duncan fighting for everything, despite his supposed 'no interest' from one or two posters on here. Zadi is sssssssssssssooooooooooooooooooo much a winger it's quite frankly laughable he's been in defence all his playing career. Proctor easily our worst player. Doing nothing in midfield, rarely helping out Tokley and being outmuscled clearly displaying the lie that he's a centre-back. Barrowman's ok but Foran is showing him how the position should be played, even though he's on the left most of the time and Barrowman in the middle. Let's hope Killie don't follow up their interest - Imrie so much man-of-the match for us.

McFadden's just gotten himself injured unfortunately. I'm sure we were close to signing him as well....maybe next season...?!

I think our manager may have some connection with Smith's club, so may have some leeway there. Think Butcher came on as a substitute for a Sherpa Van Trophy match or something once for Rangers...

Steven Smith and Jim Paterson would be two key players if they can keep fit (not overly likely). Kerr is better than a midfield of McBain and Duncan - two of our best players this season but Duncan not blessed with skill and McBain not blessed with effort (although he's done well in the last few matches).

So, now that the crucial games are over, we might finally play our best player?! Madness from Brew! Of course, he should play.
