  1. I voted for Tokely but, I dunno. Maybe actually go for Esson.
  2. Fraser Tokely - Mihadjuks - McGuire - Hastings Proctor - Black - Kerr - Morais Imrie - Foran Dorman is the big threat so Tokely and Proctor to take care of him. We're at home, so don't need an out-and-out defensive midfielder, so Kerr (who isn't a defensive midfielder - I don't know why ICT fans constantly insist he is) and Black playing the traditional central midfield duo (the old box-to-box, defend-pass-attack routine). Eric would be so nearly in there but I'll give Imrie another chance with Morais on the left. Easy to switch them round too and try that. Munro out. I know most will be surprised at McGuire but he's been a more than decent player in the past, so maybe with Magics alongside, that'll be experience enough. Munro is going through a bad patch and we just can't afford that. Hastings is more reliable than Djebi-Zadi. We all guessed it was a purple patch, so now he's coming out of it, let's get back to someone more reliable. Anyone in midfield doesn't perform, McBain should be straight in as a replacement. He's been unlucky not to get his place back as he's been close to player of the season so far.
  3. Should that not read "about" grammar and spelling mistakes? If you think so then yes. I you think so[insert comma], then yes [insert p1ssed off Smiley face]. (only joking)
  4. Open all mics working for anyone yet?
  5. Quiet rite to, im sik off al theez peepol that ca'nt spel any think welll.
  6. Yup, that one works for me too ..... and normally I have to switch the CD/iPod or whatever to one of my "coming home" songs ..... such as Frankie Miller - Caledonia, Big Country - Harvest Home / In a Big Country, or a few others I cant think of right now .... Me too - and it's 'This Is The Sea' by the Waterboys for me. Funnily enough, it's the Pastels when I'm in Glasgow. Can I just clear this up? There's the British Isles, which include Isle of Man, Wight, Shetlands etc etc, plus the biggest (i.e. the GREATest) of the islands, the land mass of mainland Scotland, England and Wales. I've had people tell me it's to do with the Empire, the World Wars and so on, but it's just a geographical term.
  7. No, it was definitely 20. I applied but was told there was a waiting list of 5000 but that they would keep my name on file should an appropriate opportunity arise in the near future.
  8. It's more a feeling of home than anywhere else. Despite growing up in the Central Belt, I don't have too much feeling for returning (although there are some nice places and nostalgia too). It's nothing to do with the people (way too many neds and getting worse) or whisky (can get that virtually anywhere) or the food (puh-leaze!). It's all to do with scenery, the freshness of the air, the light and the weather, plus all those esoteric things that I just can't pin down. As much as I love Ireland, which is very similar, it's still not as 'home' as Scotland - especially the Highlands. So, in other words, no idea! Glad to clear that up. (as someone once said "Britain - we like it a bit sh*t")
  9. Nice bit of work there, mate. I think it fairly likely that we will win the league next season, if we stay up. Rangers have a game in hand but they'll have to sell, so that means it is between us and Motherwell next season. We're too big for this league. It's getting boring. The SPL needs us more than we need them. Can we apply for the EPL next season and leave these diddy teams behind
  10. ------------------------------------Esson----------------------------------------- --------------------Mihadjuks---------------------Munro--------------------------- ---Tokely------------------------------------------------------------Hastings------ --------------------------------------Duncan---------------------------------------- ---Gattheusi--------------------------Black---------------------------Morais------ ----------------------Imrie----------------------Foran-------------------------- Subs - Fraser, Proctor, Rooney, Odhiambo, McBain, Duff, Kerr I think Djebi-Zadi may prove too keen to play and do something rash, so Hastings for a more measured approach. I'd love to see Proctor in Duncan's role but that should have happened earlier in the season. I'd normally like to see Imrie at left-wing/Morais at right but I think, against Falkirk, this might be our best bet. Gattheusi and Morais to attack as much as possible. That's how to beat Falkirk. Get them rattled, with Imrie biting their ankles. Foran the out-and-out striker.
  11. I guess what they say is true, football's all about opinions
  12. For me, it's: McGregor Caldwell Broadfoot Wilkie McManus Naysmith Fletcher Brown Ferguson Kommons Miller (not Gordon or Hutton as they haven't played enough)
  13. Best team in the bottom four IMO. Best manager too. Can't see them going down and hope they don't. They've been lacking a goalscorer all season. Kyle's looked big and threatening but can he score enough?
  14. I'm a Scotland (and Canada) supporter first and foremost. For me, the nearest we have to an international class player is the supposedly rubbish Gary Caldwell. I could see him in the upper echelons of the EPL, improving every game. But just look at our strikers! David Clarkson (Motherwell) Steven Fletcher (Hibernian) Chris Iwelumo (Wolverhampton W.) Ross McCormack (Cardiff City) Kenny Miller (Rangers) I only rate McCormack and even then, not in the international arena. It always seems to be forgotten how many poor games Dalglish had for Scotland. Only in his later years did he play anything like he did for Liverpool. Hansen as well was nowhere near as good as Narey or Miller, as is borne out by both Stein and Ferguson having those players in Hansen's natural position.
  15. See the other thread for comments by Gillian Black. Dunno who she is but she seems to know a lot about Ian.
  16. No Foran or Mihadjuks? Why?
  17. Combe/Esson Fowler/Tokely - Mihadjuks - Wright/Ford - Hay Hammill - Black - Pascali - Taouil Kyle - Foran with talented players like Imrie, Rooney, Fernandez, and Invincible to come off the bench. There's good players in all the bottom teams. Not necessarily all starts mind you, plus all the teams have weaknesses. Until Kyle, all Killie could do was walk it in, plus there were numerous injuries to their back four. For me, they've got the best team out of us, Saints, Accies, Falkirk or Motherwell. They struggle with injuries though and seem to get enough of them.
  18. So was Alan Shearer - biggest diver going whilst everyone harped on about Ginola. Anyway, we've already got Russel-dive-hio for Inverness!
  19. Also Fernandez, Invincible, Wright, Ford, Pascali, Hay and Fowler for me.

Even if we're relelgated, I'd like to see him stay. I doubt he's on much. He could improve so much, I'd give him a chance. Let's face it, we're not getting Maurice Malpas out of retirement for that left-back spot (though how great would that be!)
  21. Dorman I was mainly thinking of. At the start of the season, definitely O'Brien. Trouble is, he's been absolutely woeful for Falkirk and injury-plagued. Not so sure I would be so welcoming to him after all. If it was Killie, I'd take most of their squad to be honest. That's why I can't see it happening.
  22. "house valued at ?150,000 held as security" I think that's the crux of the problem. When was it valued at that and who's going to buy at those inflated prices.
  23. Yeah, he's been in Scotland since he was 12, so it's not as if he knows nothing about the country a la Matt Elliott or whoever.
