Yes I know he was offered a deal and I know that he rejected it. I predicted on this forum long before the cup final that his agent would come in with big wage demands. But presumably, when he came to us, he was affordable. We were his best option back then. He maybe just got ideas above his station on the back of his successful short period with us.
