  1. my thoughts exactly... but saying that he's get my vote for being an erse just because of his diving and the elbow he gave Rossco last season
  2. lets not get too excited...... yet!! See who we get in the next round first :005:

  8. we were never offered cash like that for Dod's or any player... bar Broonie and we made the right decision
  9. He's a fool I tell ya :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:... and breathe
  10. well said RIG I speak with a lot of Falkirk fans at work and they all see him as being a player that has plenty of ability but doesn't use it often enough. Yogi really should have taken the money when it was offered.... 200k was it?

  12. The only reason we have turned in profits in the last couple of years has been due to compensation received from our managers leaving to go elsewhere e.g. Brewster. It's not a case of if we get some cash from a transfer then we should look to spend it. The club will need that revenue to cover any operating losses incurred throughout the season. If anything, instead of paying transfer fees for players I'd like to see any spare cash (if there is some) used to increase our wage budget. In the days of Bosman transfers the fee is often not so much of a stumbling block it's more the agreement of a wage between player and club. As for off field developments I can't see a 4th stand being on the agenda until we can fill our current ones for Non OF and Aberdeen games. However, perhaps they could use any additional revenue to boost advertising of all things ICT in the town? Think over reacting slightly RIG... no one is having a pop at CC or the board, we would just have liked to see a new player come in to the club. I wasn't suggesting we spent the full transfer fees received but there has certainly been a lot more money coming from transfers than there has going out... Last season the board said if our average attendance continued to be over 4000 for the season then they would look into building a 4th stand. I don't believe for a second that the money the club has taken in over the last few years has all gone on operating costs.. I'm sure we have taken a heavty profit since joining the SPL (bar hiring Pittodrie) with shirt sales and the ticket prices you love so much.
  13. If he's 19, I can't imagine him being that far off it..
  14. ... or you could look how well it worked for Collins when he removed Thompson as captain :017: I think the team should be relying on the player to show his professionalism... if the player is not playing to his full potential then the club should look to do something about it, but to me it seems like a complete over reaction and seems to have come from the board rather than Leitch
  15. Agree but if we look at the transfer fees the club has accumulated from the sale of Brewster, Proctor and Mark Brown... compared to the ins of Rankin and Paatalinen (we had to pay money for), there should be some left in the pot. I thought we might have looked to get some cover in, or would at least like to see this put into developments off the pitch... might be saving up for our 4th stand :024:
  16. Scary thing is that Hearts fans still think this is good for them. Seem their best players and bring in folk in on loan from Kanus (11 players now at least!). Hearts are going backwards under Romanov IMO. Agree but the players need to know their place and shouldn't be making statements regarding the club IMO!
  17. :023: I really need to start reading a different paper :003:
  18. Just like new players signing for the club... gives a bit of excitment going into the second half of the season. I'm sure McSwegan and MacAllister will do a fine job for us but would have been nice to have another option just incase one of the got injured (touch wood)
  19. Link The tinks ain't happy... :012:
  20. :025: :025: :025: Well done all :003:
  21. read you opening post again and you are still talking pesh :014:
  22. You would'nt have signed some of our ex-players over the years (and continue to do so) if we were so backwards. As others have said, you have to look closer to home to find out your real problems in terms of bringing through players. Unfortunately it can be argued you are still a diddy club off the pitch. Portacabin for a club shop anyone? Window salesman as director of football? Former basketball clown as chief executive? And Ronnie Duncan? ... mmm.. and yet which team is playing SPL football :024: If you had concentrated on the football side of things then you would maybe know by now what it's like to play with the big boys
