  1. B) I think we are looking bare minimum of ?50k for the guy and for reasons already mentioned QotS could play hard ball and raise that figure. How much do you think we could get him for? EDIT: Agent N do you mean Tade of Raith Rovers? I'd hope Tel's being handed twice that from transfer fees... and with Tel incharge we could look a more attractive proposition than Dundee or St J. He'd be a terrific signing for us IMO EDIT: I think 50k is reasonable but would go as high as 70k.
  2. not like you to avoid a direct question
  3. A goal every 4 games or so for Morecambe !!!! I hope we're aiming higher than that . B)
  4. I don't think any team in the first division could expect more than 100k for a left back... dunno Harris contract status but if only 1 year left then you could half that value.. I don't think it would be unreasonable for Tel to expect ?150k for a transfer kitty moving into the SPL. How much do you think OoS would be holding out for?
  5. Eh? He stifled Hayes in the game up here where QotS easily defeated us. I forgot Hayes was playing that day. I think the biggest obstacle is that he is under contract and could command a sizeable fee. Can we afford to pay that much for transfers? He was given a bit of a hard time in Palmerston though but generally our goals came from a corner and down the middle in that match.... my thoughts are... we don't have a set piece specialist in the team... we need a left back ... Harris fits the bill perfectly
  6. Football manager hat on... There's not much to mess about with in a winning team but the positions I hope Tel is considering are Esson ???? Tokely Munro ????? Duncan Cox Hayes ???? Foran Rooney We have 17 players if the ones offered contracts sign so as I imagine we'll make 5 ... maybe 6 signings in the close season. The priorities should be left back and attacking mid but a more natural right back than Proctor would be excellent but not essential LB, some people might not be keen but I'd pay any money we have for Bob Harris. AMC, Moutinho is the best candidate I've heard mentioned on this forum but I think Tel might be able to find a gem down south... either on loan or a free transfer Right back, someone more concerned with defending than joinging the attack so they can let Hayes do his thing and pull into the centre if Harris is flying up the other wing.... not seen much of Gary Irvine but if he's available he might be worth a look. CB, as cover and competition... there can be only one ... PAVELS GK, we need a back up keeper now Allison's been released.. don't believe Tuffey would sign as back up and probably provide too much competition for Esson + do we really want to be spending the majority of our budget on a GK?? Forward as back up & competiton for Rooney.... I can think of this hotly tipped 22 year old that's been banging in the goals for a p!shy club in the second division... heard he's got ties with the club as well and the fans would love him!!!! Now that would be a complete and competitive ICT squad capable of achieving top 6
  7. Tokely was immense at centre half for the last few games of the season... if he plays there next season he could be a revelation in the SPL. btw any news on his contract... wtf's going on???
  8. Clicky Seems Airdrie are going for the artificial surface
  9. is that old skool astroturf or the modern fieldturf? the latter is approved by FIFA and UEFA competitions astro grass... astro turf is only suitable for hockey.
  10. There is no substitute for a grass pitch though, I've played the Stenhousemuir one and numerous artifical grass pitches around Glasgow and they are no where near good enough to host a professional football team. Was playing on one in Gifnock last night, and it's probably one of the best atificial pitches I've played but you should see the "graze" on my leg after making 2 or 3 sliding challenges.. and the problem is, if you play regularly, that the graze/cuts are re-opened and just get worse. Not to mention the fact the harder surface causes real problems with back pain and your turning circle being unnatural which leads to twists and sprains. There is actually talk of all bladed boots being banned from artifical surfaces around Glasgow because of the volume of injuries sustained.
  11. well said.. it seems that there is more ambition. Not sure if that comes from Tel directly but we look to be stepping in the right direction. Whether we'll see a new stadium.. dunno.. would love it but think there is a lot of other aspects of the club which need priority
  12. I like what you did there... but agreed he can do whatever he likes.. the man's an immortal
  13. He's fat he's round he's worth a million pounds Bobby Mann..... Bobby Mann He's fat he's round he's worth a million pounds Bobby Mann.... Bobby Mann heard this^ at one of the last games of the season and it brought a smile to my face... you gotta love the classics. Sorry Sandy but I'm not a massive fan of: The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags The red and blue the caley jags ... It just reminds me of away days when Sandy's dressed up in some costume, had a few too many and going for a solo :swear02:
  14. this^ Had their hands burnt once and haven't learnt a thing = f*ck'em As you point out, the fans deserve sympathy but the organisation deserves none.
  15. can't play football though... not prejudice just tell'n it how it is
  16. you shouldn't pigeon hole people.
  17. I think we'd stuggle to match any Championship wages and attract them up North but the thought of Henry Camara playing in behind Rooney is quality
  18. I started that chant :P So it was you! Were you being ironic, sarcastic or serious? Na wasn't me... was on the wind up but my mate didn't bite... His chant but I think he was being ironic though :) Why don't we start up a chant about people in wheel chairs and how people with brown skin have red dots on their foreheads? That would be classic. Change the words of bridge and a castle to down's syndromes and @rse bandits. that would be a good chant. because people in wheel chairs can't play football duuuhhh :swear02:
  19. not one I've heard being chanted before but I like it :D
  20. for some reason I always remember it as: feed the farmers.. let them know it's Christmas time
