  1. I'm delighted to get Celtic first game... new manager, they don't know what to expect and we can make it a cup final for our first game (TV coverage is for sure).... if we manage the impossible then we have a massive advantage over the rest.. Can't wait to see Hayes up against Naylor he'll have him in knots.
  2. BBC Clicky Not bad at all.. :D First game against Celtic at home. Christmas at home against St Midden New Year in Perth
  3. hold up it's only the first round of games, still plenty of time to go yet
  4. her and flavor flav
  5. That wasn't my memory of last season. Up to Xmas the defence were only playing for 45 minutes, then we learned to defend from the front with Rooney holding and distributing to a midfield which grew in confidence in the new year. With better protection, the defence came good. If we have the same "strong defence" (Bulvitis has gone has he not?) from the outset in 10/11 as we did last season it's going to be a rough Autumn. But good news re. Tokes :022: Think he's referring to the end of the season when Tokely was at centre half and we won every game he played there...
  6. Great news once signed but only 1 year... is that the club or Tokely's decision you think? It's worth saying that once Tokely's signed up the board deserves massive credit for sorting out 13 (?) new contracts and keeping every player Tel wanted for the new season. If we can add a few more players to the squad now we will be in great shape for the new season and more than capable of avoiding relegation.
  7. Andrew Greig, Kyle Whyte, Liam Polworth, Tom Smith, Martin Laing, Robbie Donaldson, Adam MacLeod, Calum Dingwall, Jack Sutherland, Charlie Christie
  8. or Aussies look very bad that Ozil looks like a player though
  9. Had just stuck cash on it being a draw and they he goes and does that... didn't even look bothered when he came off the park
  10. Yeh would agree with that ... I heard one team in another of the groups had a girl in goals :) We were unlucky in the sense that one of our better players took a head knock in the last group game, split the other guys head open and was out cold for a good few moments... quite worrying at the time. He was determined to play in the KO rounds but was well off the pace.... but no excuses they had a good team and deserved to go through. How did you get on when you were there?
  11. Green :) :) English over-hyped media  All this talk of Capello being a tactical mastermind and his team looked more disjointed than when McClaren was in charge. They have the players to win the tournament but there is no chance they'll come close with 2 calamity keepers, no natural left winger, a right winger who can't cross & Heskey. So far the Argies look the best team but I can't wait for the start of group D which I think will be the tightest of the lot. Nothing better than knowing the mrs is at work and I've got a day of football to look forward to... love the World Cup :)
  12. Well we didn't win. Aced our group without dropping a point and only conceding 2 goals 6 - 1 against Athletico Shire 2 - 0 against Crapnacuddin 7 - 0 against Stellas Strollers 3 - 1 against The Gambling Forum After pulled hamstrings, staved fingers, a burst head and a concussion we qualified top with crapnacuddin runners up. Unfotunately, we met the eventual winners, St Mirrnoff, in the next round of the knock out stage and crashed out 4-0. Our team were terrific and no disgrace in losing to the overall winners but was disappointed none the less. Great day out and I'd recommend it to anyone for next year. Perfect weather, plenty of goals, managed to win a crate of beer in the raffle and got to see England fluff their lines :) :) AAWWWWOOOOGGGGGGGAAAAAAA!!
  13. Good work .. find your boots?
  14. Group 7 . .. managed to get Gord as a replacement for 'the knowledge' last night so we now have 3 ICT fans in the 7
  15. I'm coming back with the trophy... not there for fun :D I imagine Captain Sensible must look like a cross between Dwain Dibbly & Lilly Savage
  16. Definitely agree with Hayes & Rooney, both are young and it's more of an investment than a gamble... I don't know how we can ever expect to receive a decent transfer fee with a piddly 2 year contract in place Esson is a bit older so can understand 2 year deal for him.
  17. That's the club that Michael Stewart and Billy Mehmet have signed for. Looks like they've targeted Scotland for players. How many Scottish players have been happy and successful in Europe since the likes of Lambert, Collins and Brewster about 10 years ago? All Scottish players are in Europe but don't know if you could count any as successful
  18. I'm sure you loved it I'll be keeping my username quiet or I'll have the majority of players swinging for me. Yeh priorities mate... representing your supported club or watching some band that does the theme tune for Ironman?
  19. all makes sense now "Danny Lennon from Cowdenbeath as their new manager" I couldn't have guessed that appointment if I was given 10 attempts. Seems strange that they would get rid of someone with proven SPL experience for someone that has succeeded at 2 divisions below.... hopefully he has the same positive affect as Barrowman did for us.
  20. i was speaking to esson himself at the gym yesterday any good news for Tokely as well then??
  21. I thought he was 1 of the 16 released by Dundee
  22. P&J clicky Sounds like he's offski come on Rossco think of the good times ..
  23. Daily Ger reliable source :021: but no mention of a problem with the length of contract, just the money on the table.
