  1. Jock Tamson? Ask yer ma! :) (I've got a feeling a few people don't get that one!) that's what wiki's for and it's not just my ma
  2. OMG! You missed the worst of it! classic!? Just spent the last of my cash on the top. No more pubs this month for me ? shouldn't have bet ?40 on black then... :)
  3. That's your best post yet good stuff who the f*ck is John Thompson?
  4. Rats out of a sinking ship... Calderwood is leaving because after trying to plug the holes last season he ran out of fingers.. with an ?11mil debt, ageing squad and a mouthy chairman who'd want the job??? I think whatever manager is stupid enough to take the job will be preparing for relegation... hopefully
  5. Nice one Bambi... ... very important signing for the club IMO
  6. Your hellbent on the idea of Harris, ain't you Chibber, tbh i agree. But back on topic though...i do hope Esson stays but if he dosen't i certainly don't see it being a downfall if we bring in Tuffey, tbh i don't think we would get a better replacement...and on a free! It's just a phase.. I'll get over it eventually
  7. Yip. sorry.. had it in my head that Tony Low got the last few seconds for some reason... long time ago and my memory is p!sh at the best of times. Tony came on in 72mins at Parkhead on 23rd October 2002 when Celtic beat us 4-2 in that seasons 3rd round of the League Cup. He also scored his only goal for ICT later that season against Arbroath at the TCS. sorry that's where I'm getting confused.. cheers
  8. Yip. sorry.. had it in my head that Tony Low got the last few seconds for some reason... long time ago and my memory is p!sh at the best of times.
  9. I was sure it was only the club who trained the player (gave their first pro contract) who received compo if signed on bosman before the age of 24. If not leave him well a lone .. give Esson the contract and use the money that we save on Bob Harris
  10. If I can be a bit picky, IMO every one of the 11 who started were exceptional that night. But I recall that Bavidge was terrible, and I'm not sure if other 2 subs even kicked the ball. defo Byers and Glancy??
  11. Mid July??? The evil sisters have both changed shirt sponsors.. to be fair they may have known for longer than we have. We just seem to be low on the priority list for Errea and our board seem willing to accept that. If I ruled the world (i.e. on the ICT board) I would take our business where it's appreciated and somewhere that doesn't have a ridiculous sizing system!! appreciate you trying to find out Scotty
  12. ffs wish it was away.. live only 2 mins away from Hampden
  13. If you play without a keeper I think most team would concede at least 5 goals :(
  14. In the middle of all the good natured posts I feel bad bringing in some negativity but... Anyone an idea when the ICT home kit is being released?? so far... Celtic, Rangers, St Midden and Aberdeen have all released their kits (although most are rank) and will be reaping the benefits. From previous experiences with Errea we will be the last to have any to sell... probably 2 weeks before the start of the season and once the sun has long gone.. and with it the oppertunity to make a fortune from merchandising. The decent weather's out I've just been paid and don't have to keep money aside for any ICT fixtures... it would be my first purchase if it was available and the more people wearing it about Inverness (in my case Glasgow) the more likely others would want it. Whatever money the board think they are saving with a cheap & tacky shirt maker like Errea I guarentee it is less than what they would make with a brand that will deliver at the start of the close season arrrr
  15. still have the Dvd sitting at home and not watched it yet but from what I remember.. Christie gets top vote, Calder second, then the rest (although I picked Mann) I think Xavi watched that game and learnt everything he knows from Christie... it was a pass perfect performance and the way he switched the play from left to right was majestic. I was never a massive Christie fan before then (I think it was a lot to do with his reluctance to shoot) but that game was his swan song. Calder (i.e. Andy Goram mark II) was also a stand out it's difficult to pick from the rest because they were all superb.. Mann, Sheerin & Wilson... yeh they are all immortal with ICT fans for that day.
  16. P&J Clicky Well looks as though I was wrong on most counts... Butcher's determined not to spend money on transfer fees so that rules out any hope I had of Bob Harris coming to the club :( ... I'm glad to be wrong about Tuffey though, it seems there is a definite interest from the player/agent to join us. Does that mean Esson is offski though?? I can't imagine either keeper being happy as the understudy if we had both
  17. aaaahhh but I've seen Tokely score a bicycle kick against Dundee United before.... it might just work ... if he signs
  18. I was in the same year as Tony Low (ex-ICT, Peterhead, Nairn County etc.) at Culloden Academy. When it came round to work experience I was matched with the oppertunity to train with my beloved ICT... couldn't fecking believe it... stuff dreams were made of... next day went back in to School to find out Tony and his ex-footballer dad had kicked up such a fuss that my work experience place had been given to him and I'd been papped to a Kingsmills Leisure centre ... if it wasn't for Tony stealing my work placement I could have been the one subbed on to time waist at parkhead Feb 2000 ... .... or maybe not... but that's what I've convinced myself since anyway.
  19. I remember him playing for Livi but didn't realise we loaned him out I know I've been suggesting on other threads that our priority should be signing a left back for the start of the season but to be fair to Golly he has been excellent for us since rejoining and what he lacks in pace he makes up with positioning and aggression. I'm not sure I'd be 100% confident to hear he was out starting left back going into the new season but delighted to see him back where he belongs and his performances last season merit another 1 year deal
  20. Never met the guy but sorry to hear about his passing.. respect and admiration to him for following ICT and caley beforehand RIP
  21. was it not the Dunfermline game????
  22. I'm a bit suprised as well but more because Butcher didn't seem to rate him, rather than him being a bad player the way I see it McBain is a mirror image of Proctor.. he can cover left back, left mid and more than capable at centre mid. We have some very young players in our starting line up so the more experience surrounding them will be benificial.. For me, McBain is one of our most complete centre mids but for some reason Brewster only ever fancied him as a wide midfielder where his lack of pace was evident. I've not seen him have a bad game when played in the centre of the park
  23. I think we are looking bare minimum of ?50k for the guy and for reasons already mentioned QotS could play hard ball and raise that figure. How much do you think we could get him for? EDIT: Agent N do you mean Tade of Raith Rovers? I'd hope Tel's being handed twice that from transfer fees... and with Tel incharge we could look a more attractive proposition than Dundee or St J. He'd be a terrific signing for us IMO EDIT: I think 50k is reasonable but would go as high as 70k. I wouldn't get your hopes up. Making any 'big' money signings was ruled out a few weeks ago by Bennett P&J LINK Free transfers for us me thinks depends what you would class as a 'big money' signing .... ?50 - ?100k isn't an unreasonable figure for Tel to be offered IMO... especially after gaining promotion in our rebound season and receiving the full benefit of the parachute payment
