  1. Or, and this is totally out of the blue, the Home support actually support the team instead of booing them after one mistake? Getting behind the team can work wonders but unfortunately the Home crowd prefer to chastise and berate our players instead of actually getting behind them. That's one of the things I was trying to highlight in my letter to Mike Smith... there is a severe lack of positivity at TCS and I think a lot of that comes from the way the stewards guard against any movment/squeak from the fans. I am getting sick of travelling to Inverness for games and I never thought I'd say that...
  2. Well I don't think you were at a different game as you were only a couple of rows in front of me, so it must have been your concentration that blocked your hearing. I don't think for a minute it was the people walking out that was the problem, although it may have inflamed it slightly. There are some people who sit around us who moan constantly and shout at Butcher. Get this player off he's Cr*p, put someone else on, come on Butcher sort this out, etc etc etc. As for his outburst, I have mixed feelings. 1. I think that it showed passion and the fact that he cares as the pressure certainly got to him. 2. I think that he should have tried to keep his cool for just a few minutes more and not reacted, but I can understand why he did it. 3. There was a personal retaliation from Butcher towards a specific fan, which was again inappropriate, but how long do you think you can keep niggling someone without getting a reaction. I actually think that his actions will further agrivate the situation, and now that the fans responsible see they can get a reaction I think they may be worse than ever if things don't go our way on Saturday. From another point of view, we have had fans banned from games for less. If it is just 1 fan, can someone not ask/tell him to keep his trap shut? (maybe it was Alex .... just a thought)
  3. Possibly for the rumour mill but why do you think Dods was at the game? Is he still getting a game for United?

According to this, P&J Clicky, Imrie is looking for a place up front so we may need to persevere with Eagle
  6. Garry Wood - Fair enough Iain Vigurs - Fair enough Rory McAllister - Brewster got rid of him Michael Fraser - Brewster got rid of him Zander Sutherland - Never good enough Stuart Soane - Never had a sniff Jamie Duff,(granted he's still here but injured) - Still at the club Stuart Leslie - Never had a sniff Guy Kerr - Never good enough & Brew got rid of him Gavin Morrison(dont know whats happened to him - Never had a sniff Dale Gillespie - Never had a sniff There's 11 of them and im sure theres more So just Woods & Vigurs then? So you honestly considering throwing your season ticket away then? Can I have it?
  7. Probably because Man United seldom lose at Old Trafford so he never finds himself in such a position where the crowd are getting on at him in the manner they were with Butcher and Malpas. This is the guy that threw a football boot at David Beckham... I'm sure his outburst would have been a lot worse if he was receiving the same abuse/criticism from our fans.
  8. At the moment it's a whisper between a few fans on an internet forum... if any article/apology is printed it will become a national issue.
  9. Prozac?
  10. But of whinging ba5tards... I would love to know how many of the complaints that were sent to the club have come from people who were directly involved!!
  11. . When we were playing at Pittodrie me and a few boys were slagging Jeffries so much for being a fat moaning b@stard that he turned round and told us all to get too fluck! I remember being outraged at the time.. and then realising I was an idiot (happens a lot). Point is, for some reason when you're in the stands/terracing you believe you have the right to scream whatever abuse you like, as though there was some sort of invisible barrier between you and the person/s your directing it at. What I can't understand is that someone would be screaming abuse at our own manager.... share your dissatisfaction maybe (best doing this at half time or after the match) but do you honestly think that you are doing any good?? Especially from the mainstand where the opposing manager/players can hear the disrespect we are treating our own manager and players with. I'd be delighted if we got him.... cracking player and we are crying out for a natural right winger

I don't think he's that bad... you can't fault his work rate anyway. He offers a lot of cover down our left side, which is needed when we have and ageing Golly and unpredictable Zadi at left back. When Imrie gets back I imagine it will be Imrie on the right and Hayes on the left but I don't think Eagle is the worst signing by Butcher... infact, although watching on ALBA I thought he was our best player in the second half against C*unty
  13. Zadi's out the equation now. I'd like to see him back but several fans have taken issue with him now and they wont be happy until he fails or makes a mistake again!! This is our support in a nut shell, they'd rather be proved right than see the team succeed.
  14. You really are the most humourless person on this forum aren't you? Does no one on this forum have a laugh about anything anymore? There have been instances when people have tried having a laugh but when members who do not share the same humour do not agree it turns into a flame fest or if the members who do not agree are mods or admin then it can get a whole lot worse. Very few people have the skills required, myself very much included in that, to convey true sentiments using the written word and all too often this results in misinterpretation, that's why emoticons (smileys) were invented. I know I am taking a risk posting this as it will no doubt be seen as a dig or setting up as an argument with the mods but I assure you it is the polar opposite, I am trying to explain that most of the time there is actually no need to argue. I completely agree with all of that... you should start your own website :(

Of course it is... especially when you completely ignore all the good work that put us in that position.

So you expected to be in the SPL next season when Butcher took charge? Of course I didn't expect Butcher to keep us in the SPL , you only have to look at his past managerial failures to see that . Since you avoided the question I'll re-phrase Would you have expected any manager to have kept us in the SPL?
  22. Beating St Mirren at their new ground and Tokely scoring the winner :025:

Who put us in that position? Look I'm not being pro-Butcher, I'm getting just as angry as the rest of our fans but to say that it's his fault for us being relegated is ridiculous when you consider the state we were in before he joined the club and how little time he had to implement these changes.
