Striker pecking order
You've written Sanchez off after one game so you're just as bad! :( I didn't think Rooney had a great game for a striker but in terms of playing a target man style role he did well. As with the majority I would expect to see Foran start most games and I personally liked having Sanchez as a second, "further back" forward but to be honest I would be pretty happy with any of the rest of them partnering Foran. :D Fair point but I just rated Sanchez's's's's performance on the day and because he is new to the club he needs to work his way up the pecking order. Rooney did enough last season and during the game to show he has plenty to offer the club... I don't think he'll be prolific but I he will still be a very important player this season (even if he only manages to chip in with another 6 goals)

Grant Munro - MOTM
Munro got some undeserved stick last season IMO. He was a rock on Saturday and if we have anychance of returning to the SPL we need that sort of senior performance from him in every game. I expect us to have the best defensive record in the league but it's whether we can score enough goals to see us to promotion

Injuries - Imrie Crocked
:P It looked like a knee injury, don't know how it can be assumed 3-6 months though???? He wouldn't have been able to carry on playing if it was a torn ligament, cartlidge problem maybe???

Away Support
.... and it's Caley Army NOT Loyal Army I can assure you mate it's LOYAL army..... as has been sung for most away games the last 6 or so seasons :P Complete and utter b0llox! I've been in the bridge end since it existed and I can assure it has ALWAYS been CALEY ARMY until the SPL seasons and the new breed have taken over. Fair play to you lot, you provide great atmosphere and I'm delighted there is someone else singing and adding to the atmosphere but that is the one chant that fecks me off... loyal = loyalist = rangers, we have a bad enough time distiguishing ourselves from the OF filth with having similar coloured shirts no need to have the same tarnished chant! I repeat it has ALWAYS been CALEY ARMY... I can tolerate SESH ARMY but never LOYAL ARMY

This season could be a belter hopefully we have a decent record at home because if we manage to keep up the away support then we'll win more games than we lose :) :) :) .... and it's Caley Army NOT Loyal Army

Striker pecking order
The majority of our fans complained all season that Rooney should have been starting every game now he's not in the top 3 of strickers??? I see Rooney as the new Bayne, I thought he did a grand job on Saturday...... battered their centre halves, ran the channels, never stopped chasing the constant long balls that were being played in the second half... all that was missing was a goal. The first one when he was through on goal, was a bad miss but he was holding off 2 defenders and i'd like to see a replay (I wish) because I think the defender got his toe to the ball he had a bad game... doesn't make him a bad player though He missed a few chances but at least he was in the position or made those chances... he could have easily bagged a hattrick on Saturday and this would be a completely different thread. I think our forwards this season will be Barrowman & Foran.... Barrowman gets a chance but if he doesn't start scoring in the first few game get Rooney in. 1. Foran 2. Rooney 3. Barrowman 4. Odhiambo 5. Sutherland 6. Sanchez

agree, brilliant feeling Bayne's at tynecastle when they were down to 10 men was another great moment

Kyle Allison
.... and you expect all these kids to grow up to be saints? I started watching ICT when I was 12, now older and wiser I know what to expect from going to a football match but I manage to carry the occasional sentence without cursing. I would suggest you sit in the family section/main stand or for away matches sit away from the people chanting if you are concerned with the language... and if you hve any problems in that designated area you have every right to complain. I hate the whole "family club" description of our club.. infact I believe that is the major reason that we have such a dire atmosphere at TCS, remember football clubs became successful in the days gone because of working class men... if you want something to do with your family go bowling this has gone well off topic though, we were talking about the abuse directed at Allison, which IMO was unacceptable
-
Kyle Allison
I can understand that you both are looking out for your childrens well-being but you're at a football match and if you don't want them to hear abusive language then don't take them to a football match. No place for racism in football but that isn't even close to what we are talking about on this thread so start another one if you think there is really an issue at TCS or among our fans... for me it's not, I've not heard any offensive racial slur in our support. A few fans have gone overboard after an incident which happened with an ICT player... lets not make this into somethig it isn't

Livingston FC
:finger03: :D to be fair at least he had the cahoonas to try and face up for his mistakes but it's clear from that statement the guy is clueless. The problems were caused long before he was incharge though and I sort of feel sorry for him having to take the majority of the blame

Kyle Allison
wooah there nelly.. read the thread it's not just about who he supports

Dunfermline V ICT : Matchday Thread
Not seen enough of Sutherland but I was impressed... he didn't look out of place in the first team but I'd still start Rooney until Foran gets back. It was a bad performance infront of goal but on another day he could have bagged a hattrick, he did a lot of thing right and as you mentioned previously he was working as a lone striker which is a thankless task. It would be harsh to judge the guy as a bad player because he didn't score yesterday, he never stopped running and gave their centre halves a lot of trouble I would be asking if Sutherland should be replacing Sanchez??

Kyle Allison
The authorities? This is getting very dramatic now, protecting kids from hatred, homophobia, racism and bigotry? Theres an awful lot worse places they could be taking their kids than ICT matches, these same kids you want to see come to games will hear a hell of alot worse in school, if the atmosphere at ICT matches was really that hate filled then nobody would go. I think it went too far yesterday by our standards. If it was genuinely abusive or aggressive then the police standing at the front of the stand wouldve stopped it, coming on here and encouraging them to step in against all abuse of ICT players/managers is ridiculous, as thats what theyll do, many innocent fans will get caught up in it. Everybody there paid the same money to get in, some chose to abuse one of our players and some chose not too, personally I dont consider what anybody else in the ICT section does on a matchday to be any of my business. Agree with all of that... a few of them went a bit overboard yesterday but on the other hand that group generated the atmosphere throughout and made it a belter of a day I think Sorted is using this for his/her own agenda

scotland vs norway line up
wish I was going, should be a cracking game and hopefully a much needed win
-
Kyle Allison
If we did that we'd be shouting abuse at the majority of our players... how many do you think are die hard ICT fans? Munro.... eh... Munro :boldblue: Can't remember Cowie receiving any sort of abuse like that and he was ex-County captain and a die hard fan. The chants weren't just in relation to the team he supports/used to support, this was about one of our fans having some sort of altercation with Allison, allegedly. I am not trying to say that because the boy plays for ICT now he is some sort of saint... I remember the YTS players of my era, Gillfilan, Spider etc. and they were far far far from perfect but if Allison did have words with one of our fans then it's between that person & the player... There is no need for 20 of his mates to chip in and shout abuse from a stand, safe, 100yrds from the person it's directed at

Dunfermline V ICT : Matchday Thread
Apparently, he fell out with one of our fans and is a County supporter so was getting stick for it Sums up our fans to be honest. Don't get me wrong I'm the first to get stuck in with c*unty banter but he's an ICT player ffs!! If he did have an altercation with a fan, then that fan should have settled it then or taken it up with the proper authorities at the time... shouting abuse with a rake of your mates from a stand doesn't make you a big man I seen the same lot try to pick a fight with Barrowman at a game last season... shame because a lot of the younger guys coming through spend a fortune following the team and have been excellent but a few f@nnies spoil it

Dunfermline V ICT : Matchday Thread
Game of 2 halves, we had the majority of possesion and oppertunities in the first half, although nothing clear cut. Rooney was causing there defence constant problems with his physical presence and our midfield pair won everything in the centre of the park but we weren't clinical enough in the final third. When Dunfermline did try and pass the ball they did it well with Bayne at the centre of anything positive. We should have had a couple of goals in the first half but Rooney left his shooting boots at home... Second half and Dunfermline came at us, could have easily bagged a couple of goals if it wasn't for some excellent last ditch challenges. After defending hard for a period we started to get to grips with the game again and made/missed a few brilliant oppertunities. Haynes seemed to make a difference when he came on the park and he floated in a lovely corner which bounced out to the edge of the box where Cox was standing... and the rest is history. I would have settled for a draw but this result could be vital come the end of the season. I think if we had Foran & Tokely in the team this would have been a comfortable victory but then it wouldn't have been as dramatic :D Very optimistic for the rest of the season now, plenty of things to iron out but all our new players seem well up for the challenge Esson :) :) :) Did everything that was expected of him and a clean sheet... good to have him back. Proctor  Shakey at best, their number 11 ripped him to shreds in the second half. I don't think he completed a pass all game!!! Munro :D :D :D :D :D MOTM, won everything in the air and showed to all the doubters he can be a leader. Full marks to the big man I thought he was a rock today Bulvatis :) :) :) :) Did well, good debut Djebi-Zadi :) :) :) Great run and could have scored but as ropey as ever at the back. Such a frustrating player but great entertainment Imrie :) :) :) Worried the keeper with a fizzing shot but never really got into the match. Hopefully he's not out for long because we are really struggling for cover on our right wing Cox :) :) :) :) Great finish... Black who?? Stratford :) :) :) :) Managed to keep both Duncan & McBain out of the squad and I can understand why. Never stopped and hardly put a foot wrong Eagles :) :) :) Preferred Haynes to be honest. Eagles worked hard but his final ball was awful Sanchez Either unfit or didn't want to be there... he could turn out to be a decent player but looked very lazy Rooney :( :( 3 for effort, caused plenty of trouble for their centre halves but he could have put the game to bed in the first half... missed a bucket load of chances Haynes :) :) :) Once he loses a couple of pounds he could be a real star for us... McBain :( Offered nothing as a sub apart from some incomplete passes Sutherland (??) :) Certainly offered more than Sanchez
