  1. How can you possibly make that call, so early in the season ?? Surely you cannot judge them on pre-season and a few competitive matches. Most of them are not even 100% match fit yet..!! We have played 8 competitive games, and over 5 pre season games. that is plenty and if the players are not 100% fit after that many games and a pre season then that would be very worrying. how games do you think it takes?? The only player that comes close to the quality that we let leave is Cox. the rest aren't showing much at all and simply because they aren't as good. 1 loss in all those games and you have decided that the only player with any quality is Cox?? Anyway, NEWSFLASH we've dropped a division, of course the players aren't going to be the same quality as we had in the SPL far too many people on this forum have been waiting for the opportunity to jump on Butcher's case. We've already shown up Dundee & Dunfermline who are our direct opposition for promotion. County was a blip, a horrible one but a blip none the less. I'm actually glad we got it out the way so early in the season so we know what to expect for the rest of the year
  2. It will be good to see Golly in ICT colours again... he's always been a great servant to the club :)
  3. Yes.. live beside Hampden. Very proud Scotland supporter, which makes our current predicament (not to mention the past weekend result).... ..... ... depressing
  4. I think you had to look at the players round about Rooney after the incident... Foran was shouting at Rooney for not passing the ball rather than claiming for a penalty and the County defender accused him of diving instantaneously.... wish it was a penalty but think he dived (infact I wish stuck the ball in the net in the first place)
  5. FFS.. I thought this was a wind up Is Butcher just trying to add to the humiliation from the weekend? strange... strange decision
  6. This thread is embarrassing... how many fecking times do we have to go through this bull5hit before people start to learn
  7. well said... have these guys who booed him seen any of our away games. I get the impression our home fans are from a completely diffferent mould from our away fans. Can't believe you're f*cking with the hardcore 'loyal army' .... you a mad man
  8. Aye , the rest of yous can drown them out with the noise of your sweetie paper rustling . I'll vouch for 'The Knowledge' because I was sitting beside him at the game... and we were both chanting throughout... We lost 1 game out of 7 after getting 4 points from 2 of our promotion rivals (Dunfermline & Dundee... both away games)... this was a fecking horrible performance/result but put it in perspective. Absent friend is absolutely spot on IMO... our fans are shocking at times.
  9. Get yersel down the Innes.... only place to go pre-match
  10. "rumours on dundee website are that Mihadjuks is signing Friday and also Russel Anderson on a season long loan from Sunderland plus a Latvian midfielder with over 30 caps ??!! ps. Mihadjuks didn't play for his club the other night in champs league as he's in dundee !" That's the email I just got from my Dundee supporting mate.... wait and see if he's talking pesh!
  11. St Midden please :(
  12. Hired a car and will be driving up from Glasgow +2 (so far)
  13. :tonguecheek: :023: at least try and get it right if your going to copy a previous post
  14. P&J Clicky Suprised no one else has posted this up anywhere. Foran think's he was responsible for relegation and wants to make sure we get back to where we belong Got to love his optimism... if he scores a hattrick against C*unty all is forgiven
  15. Class.. completely forgot about this one to be honest
  16. I'm guessing he means since the caley games will be the biggest game of many county fans season then they will view it as their proverbial "cup final". Hmm doesnt make to much sense as the games against County will be among the biggest games of the season for us to! Unless we have a league decider but then still the county games are bigger than all the rest Come off it.. we've just dropped a division... they've been dreaming of this day for the last 5 years. Yeah but by droping a division it makes this game one of the biggest of the season for us. Seems a bit odd trying to pretend that its only a big game for county and that we dont view it as a big important game, because by the anticipation for it on this site we obviously do. Im sure lot of people are looking forward to this and more excited about this game than they were about the Dundee game last week. I know I am. You're missing the point here. Obviously it's a big game for us (I've not been this excited about a game since we were promoted to the SPL) but ictchris is on the wind up. He is suggesting we pretend this is a nothing game for us because we have been pitting our wits against the top teams in Scotland over the last 5 years and now we are up against a stagnent, team of no-hopers (i.e. our feeder club). It's all a bit of banter B)

  18. For all the youngsters that haven't had the oppertunity to experience a propa highland derby... please list your favourite chants. (more offensive the better) Personal favourite, because we used to beat up one of my mates everytime we started singing it.. for absolutely no reason :33: :P to the tune of band aid Feed the farmers.. let them know it's christmas time Feed the farmers.. let them know it's christmas time Feed the farmers.. let them know it's christmas time Feed the farmers.. let them know it's christmas time works better at christmas time of course B)
  19. He has been signed by Keith and you still think he'd do a better job?? I wish the lad all the best but I never bought into the hype from after 3 cameo appearances he was all of a sudden the next Maradona
  20. Hi Harry to be honest i think this role is a bit of a poisoned chalice if you get things right its a well he should do as thats what he is paid for attitude and if it goes wrong you get blamed for evverything so as said tough job but think we could as earlier said maybe streamline the 3 associations will it happen?turkeys voting for xmas scenario i would reckon Nice one, thanks for taking the time to reply.
  21. If Alex is correct we have ?900k worth of assets but yes a lot less than ?2/3 mil Wasn't really boasting just trying to use the rest of the Scottish football clubs to draw a comparison, that's the market we're competing in. I'm not saying that we have the most efficient buisness in Scotland, there are lots of aspects that could/should have been looked at while we were in the SPL but I think our board have shown themselves to be prudent when other clubs around us have spent when they couldn't afford to... likes of Livi, Gretna, Falkirk etc. etc. I could probably count those clubs in one hand (and no not all Invernesians have 6 fingers )
  22. to put everything in perspective we were nearly ?2 mil in the red in 98/99 and then managed to turn everything around to become a profitable club (from being in the 2nd division I believe). I guarentee you our accounts are better than the majority of clubs in Scotland and I am thankful that we have a very prudent board We are currently still in the black and judging by our season tickets sales, what seems to be a very popular new away top and our parachute payment we can hopefully still be there by the end of this season.
  23. I just remember our lot chanting "peeeeaaanut" everytime Byers got the ball because we thought that was his nickname amongst the players only to find out towards the end of the season it was Sheerin's nickname. The banter in the terracing was brilliant at that point... I was getting to the age that I could attend more away games and we played some tremendous football with Bobby Mann at his prime, pinging balls all over the park - good times ;) :) :)
  24. The season we lost to Alloa in the Challenge league cup final 99/00... great team! Although watching Stewart score so many goals the seasons before was an absolute pleasure
