  1. Although there is no old firm I still think we will have decent attendances. Winning games will make a huge difference and there are still big matches; County, Livi and Plastic (There can be only one) will bring attendances up as well as the Dundee & Dunfermline matches... plenty to look forward too :024:
  2. todays courier has an article saying that two midfielders are mulling over contract offers from ICT, both players are from england-shire, one would be a free transfer and the other a loan signing, Grassa hopes to have heard by the end of the week regarding deals. Also the article states that he hopes to have had some indication by the end of this week on whether the players offered deals at the end of the season are going to stay; foran, kerr, proctor etc..... not much but better than nothing True Cheers, in Glasgow so I miss out on the Courier :)

CC is a f*cking legend... don't care what anyone says about him as a manager but as a representive of the club he deserves nothing but respect. The guy genuinely cares about the ICT and the city, he is biased as feck whenever he's on the TV or radio but I fecking love it. I felt let down when he resigned as manager because I had backed him to the hilt but I could understand he was doing it in the best interests of the fans, board and players (in that order) I hope he is forever affiliated with ICT... proper gentleman
  4. Players ain't that intelligent.. contract, money, sign I think the majority of released players will be eager to have their future's sorted asap (I know I would) so if we're not fast we may lose out
  5. So far all we know is that Foran might stay... come on ICT you can do better than that I'm bored 5hitless at work & sick of going onto P&B to find another team signing players GET A MOVE ON!!
  6. Your right, he was a class act up front with Morais against Partick so I must keep that thought in my head, but we will still need another 2 strikers on the books. Thing is it strikes me that if Odhiambo and Foran sign new contracts that I cannot see us bringing in another striker. I would far rather lose Barrowman or Odhiambo and bring in another big striker.. Thoughts?? From what I've seen of Odhiambo I think he'd have a field day in the 1st Division, since Dargo left we have been crying out for pace upfront. I'd be delighted if we could keep a hold of him, still young and there's a good chance we could make some decent coin. I have some sympathy with Barrowman, confidence is as important to a player as any other attribute and he was expected to jump 2 divisions, and in his first season in the SPL, be our main threat up top. I'll be giving him my full support next season and hopefully he'll repay that with a barrow-load of goals (see what I did there)
  7. I see him more as a Poalo Maldini

Ian Vigurs was our most promising youngster and one of a select group of ICT players that can pass the ball. He arrived at Elgin at 15 y/o played about 20 odd games then signed for ICT and in the 4 years since then has played 20 odd games, which part of promising were you thinking of, 6 years and an everage of 8 starts a season? Everyone has jumped on the band wagon of Vigurs but no one seems to have given a second thought to Zander, same age only been on the pro books 3 years played twice as many times for Elgin and over twice as many for ICT has also chipped in with more goals, and while at Elgin got nominated for 3rd Div Player of Year. He didn't get a chance with Butcher due to injury (think he had an Op) and also released, I think this is who we should be moaning about losing rather than Vigurs or Wood but of course Zander doesn't have his mate on here to push through his personal agenda(CaleyP)!! where are you getting all these appearances/goals from?
  9. All the best to the lad but I really don't think he deserves the amount of hype generated after making just one start (?) and the occasional cameo, even giving a penalty away against Killie on one occasion. I'm sure he'll turn into a superstar at County now after saying all that
  10. Flavor Flav says: "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE"

The new away shirt should have been available from the last game of the season... we would be making a needed profit now rather than 2 months down the line. It's the simple things like this that demonstrate how poorly our club is run and most importantly they are losing out on money because of it
  12. As you said if plan B is to get straight back up then surely there is a plan C to keep us there. We need at least some stability and a plan in place for the next 3 - 5 years but with the management team only here for another season it looks like a quick fix and if it doesn't work out they walk away and we're left to pick up the pieces. I hope it doesn't turn out that way but by the end of next season we could have the majority of players out of contract and not have a management team and who ever comes in has to start from the very bottom. This is exactly what I'm worried about, I don't think there is any plan B or C. This seems like a typical knee-jerk reaction to tempt the likes of Morais, Kerr & Foran to stay without any thought to what we will do if they don't accept the contracts. I don't think Butcher realises how difficult it was to attract players to Inverness when we were an SPL club nevermind now we're in the 1st division. It is thousands of pounds cheaper to renew a youth players contract than sign a new one. I don't see the logic in getting rid of 2 of our most promising youngsters to try and convince 3 players (who obviously don't want to be here) to stay... I can't believe our boards niavety not realising the loss of potential profits.... even if the "SPL players" are tempted to stay their contracts will be too expensive and filled with clauses - after a season they'll be off for nothing or next to nothing! TBH (and I hope I speak for most fans) I am more concerned about the well being of my club than trying to rush back to the SPL!! I've always taken pride in my club being well run while we, patiently, progressed through the divisions and then built our SPL status. Yes, we made a mistake with Brewster but that doesn't mean we should change the club ethos, which has served us well for the last 14 years. We only need to look at Livi for an example of a club overspending and not being successful... they are a shell of a club and if we're not careful we'll end up the same way.
  13. I think Wood will do fine in the 1st division. Was he know on loan to a 1st division club already this season or was it last Montrose, Last Season (07/08)
  14. What's the point in going back to the SPL when our best prospects for the future are gone? Tokely, Munro etc can't go on forever and from all the sour moments last season, watching Vigurs & Wood coming in from our youth team at least gave us some hope for the future We're going to have a shell of a team next season... and what happens if we don't go up?? (Speak to Pearce Flynn) Mike, you have made some valid points but are you saying you didn't rate Vigurs when he played for the first team?
  15. :( :D :D There goes 2 of our brightest prospects, to our rival... while everyone at ICT seems be on holiday! F*cking joke... I honestly can't believe the stupidity of this, for football and financial reasons. What is the point of getting back to the SPL when we'll have no players to take over the reigns once we get there. Financially, our greatest assets are our younger players... take Griffiths (Livi) for example, one good season in the 1st division and he is deemed to be worth +?300k and that is at a bottom 6 side I know Brewster didn't have a lot of fans, if any, but he does have a great eye for talent and I guarentee we are going to regret this decision

  18. MIF away feck off to your own forum!! :allhail: How are Beechwood Albion getting on these days? You still getting in the squad?
  19. Obviously the club has a lot of work to do behind the scenes to sort out our 1st division (shudder) status but they need to realise the fans have just gone through our first ever relegation. We need some sort of update/press release from the club, whether that be a new signing, contract extension, new strip for next season..... anything positive! It looks as though County are gearing up for the derbies next season by signing every man and his dog.... meanwhile, the only thing we have succesfully accomplished - releasing some of our most promising youngsters!! Get a move on ICT we need to have something to talk about otherwise the forum is filled with 8itching and speculation
  20. Of course it's Rossco's fault but he's still Superman!!! I was absolutely gutted for the guy tbh.. hopefully he'll be back with avengance next season!!
  21. Yeh, he will be an important player for us next season... especially since we have no centre mids. He probably would have been first on my list to be offered a contract
  22. If we give up on Foran then we have plenty of money to spread round the squad, Vigurs, Wood & Mihadjuks are 3 I would be very concerned about losing Foran is a novelty we can't afford to have, especially if it means some of our most promising youth players are getting the boot for him. Have to say I'm quite disappointed by the statement... infact I'm angry we even released a statement to confirm which players we are trying to keep, if true, we are just creating more competition for ourselves AGAIN!! When will this club learn to keep it's affairs behind closed doors!!
  23. Barry wont be back, I loved the guy but it's time to move on... Morais is the new Bazza Wilson!
  24. I'd be happy if we managed to keep any of them to be honest... Morais would be my pick of the bunch though, he is the new Barry Wilson!!!
