  1. Just back Black and Hastings get pass marks... just The rest were ****ing abysmal... after sticking up for Tokely and praising Duncan, the two of them decided to pay me back today by playing as though they had never seen a football before never mind kicked it. Tokely at fault for the first and 2nd goal (although McGuire had a hand in both) and everytime Zemmama attacked we were ripped open. Duncan didn't look interested and spent most the time giving away possession and then blame everyone around him for not being there. Bayne... it's not working I can't understand that after having so much sucess with a 4-5-1 formation why suddenly decide to play 4-4-2 away against a Falkirk and Hibs 2 f the best passing teams in Scotland. It should be obvious that we tighten up the centre of the park.... we plyed such a high line that evrytime Hibs attacked we were caught out by the pace of their front three. Beuzilin (?) ripped us apart today with his passing glad it's the cup but also angry because it's been so long since we had a decent cup run bring on Rangers... yay :rolleyes02:
  2. and first scorer... I wonder what the odds would be :024:
  3. fair play, delighted to see the club isn't getting bullied into anything
  4. That's a strange comment to leave an interview on... suggests he is looking for someone with pace, if (as IHE says) you read between the lines Think Paatelainen could be an instant replacement for Rankin in the hole behind Niculae
  5. why sell him when we are just going to have to buy a replacement anyway... If it is not going to benefit the club then tuff **** it's his own fault for selling his house before an agreement had been made. We as a club are going to come off with the worst deal no matter what way you look at this, if the contract HE signed is still valid then he should be made to honour it until we are in a position to make a reasonable profit from selling him or we no longer require his services. This could be the make or break of our season.. if the board has any sense at all we will make him see out the rest of the season and demand a fee of ?100+, or better yet offer him a better contract that will make him want to stay with the club and show that we see him as part of our plans good left footed midfielders are almost impossible to find at the best of times.. I am sick of our board being pushed around by other clubs and big headed players, if Rankin is sold for any where near the fee that is being spoken of it will be a complete joke.

  7. lighten up mate we've just won 3-0 to end a conjested christmas period on a high. Winning 7 games from 9 and a unbeaten home record of 5 on the trot. Of course there is going to be some sort of complacency it's just more important that we keep doing what we're doing especially after the start of the season we had basically... enjoy it while it lasts
  8. we're 4 points off 3rd
  9. Did Caff score for St J? :029:
  10. Wish we had pushed for the 1000th goal today... hopefully I'm wrong but I can see us going a few games now without scoring... it's always the way it works
  11. Rankin's doing too many 'flicky flackies' :017:
  12. Hold on... Caff signed for St Johnstone? :004: :016: Since Caff is still an ICT player does that not mean we already have scored 1000 goals?? Did anyone hear Caff scored for St J? :023: :016:
  13. Glad to see Paatelainen on... my money's on him to get the goal
  14. has Caff scored for St J?
  15. Caff scored for st j
  16. yes game's gone stale... would bring on Put-a-line-on and Duff
  17. He's holding off for Man U guarenteed! infact I've already put money on it
  18. considering Rankin was bought as a top first division midfielder for 65k and is now a proven goal scorer and has showed what it takes to hack it in the SPL we shouldn't be accepting anything less than 100k IMO Good left footed players are a commodity in this division... :023: I here Dundee United will be looking for a replacement soon (hope not)
  19. 9 shots on target, end to end fooball.. and at times we played some excellent passing (mostly in the 2nd half) I know everyone is disappointed with the result and losing the late goal but that was not an 'awful' game of football, trust me I've seen a lot worse. I thought we played well today and for most of the game looked like we were the home team. The wind was a killer and anyone that has played football will know that it is the hardest condition to play any standard of football in. We managed to counter everything Aberdeen had to offer and although they had some half chances they never really looked like scoring from open play. What annoyed me was how pedestrian Bayne looked at times and it seemed that Niculae was putting in more effort, although far too ball greedy at times. Defence was solid but we were against the wind and tried to pump it up the park too often. Second half we bossed the midfield but didn't really manage to get Cowie or Rankin into the game... Marius started to get going, and Bayne was back to his hard working self, chasing loss casuses etc. Black, Niculae, Bayne all had decent efforts on goal but Langfield made a couple of good saves... the defence handled everything well but as the game was getting stretched towards the end of the game Miller managed to break away and make a run towards the goal only for Rossco to come tumbling into the back of him and concede the penalty and the rest is history. Really gutted after travelling from Glasgow to see a good effort from the team only to be ruined by a clumsy challenge. To be fair to Rossco (IMO) he had a good game before and looked absolutely gutted after making the mistake.. just one of these things but shouldn't take anything away from the team that have been excellent in the last 7 odd games.
  20. I must have been watching a different game :029: I thought up until the penalty Tokely had an excellent game... Aluko was in Rossco's back pocket for the first half so much so that he was eventually subbed. He made a couple of excellent runs down the right wing and put in a couple of great crosses but no one seemed to want to commit themselves in Aberdeens 18yrd box. This is very much a knee jerk reaction from some fans who have short memories and don't appreciate the commitment Ross has made to the club over the last few years. What about when he was being linked with a move to bigger clubs with probably much better salaries last year? you didn't see him turn his back on the club! He looked absolutely gutted after making th mistake today and if I were Brew, at most, I would probably bench him for a couple of matches but only because we have a capable replacement in Proctor. Yes he is clumsy on occasions, this being one of them, but he is one of the few players that leaves everything on the park after 90 mins and to see some of the posts asking him to leave the club is ****ing disgraceful.
