  1. yyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssss ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. you fecking dancer!
  3. yeh but Proctor's suspended and... Duncan is probably our only natural defensive midfielder, his passing needs work but he is necessary to allow Black go forward
  4. No Duncan?? Proctor's suspended
  5. Fraser Tokely McGuire Munro Hastings Duncan Cowie Black Imrie Barrowman Rory expect McBain will start with maybe Imrie upfront instead of Rory coom on ICT 3 points against these fandangos :015: :D :thumb04: :018: ;) my bad
  6. Barrowman... get him off to a good start although would be just as happy with a 0-0 draw
  7. I am of the belief we could definitely do with a centre half but... Jamie Duff was superb against Burnley when he came on for McGuire, he had Akinbiyi in his back pocket and Akinbiyi (incase you haven't seen him) is very quick and a giant of a player I think if I was in charge a centre half would have been priority as soon as the transfer window opened but maybe Brew has seen enough in Duff to think he has what it takes.... just a thought ... also, clubs try to look for players at the end of the transfer window to avoid paying an unnecessary 2/3 weeks of wages, not saying that's what Brew is up to but it could explain why the Rooooooney transfer is being delayed to the last possible moment
  8. yeh they said he ws sent off 4 times in one season for them... sounds like a nut job plenty of money spent on him though... Wiki has him signing from Caley to Mansfield for ?35k in 1978!!! That's alot of cash for a highland league player
  9. Some opinions from the Chesterfield Forum: They also asked me about Dave Caldwell who used to play for Caley (pre-merger) and Chesterfield but, unfortunately I know nothing about as I'm only a pup good player?
  10. I've seen enough of Pittodrie to last a life time... I hate travelling through, hate where the stadium is, hate how grey the city is and hate that we always seem to come home dissapointed I'm giving this one a miss but hope that we can put this record to rest and get a good start to the season for a change
  11. I'd give it to Cowie on condition he signs a 3yr extension to his current contract Munro is a great servant to the club but at times last season when he was under pressure he didn't seem to handle it well... other players seem more likely to argue with him than listen to him, which comes down to a lack of respect Cowie seems to be one of the more proffesional players on the park and never seems to lose his cool but always gives his all.. IMO players are more likely to respond to this
  12. Couldn't agree more in regards of the pace upfront.. we don't even seem to have an option on the bench at the moment that will give the opposing defenders something else to think about I still haven't had a chance to see Wood play so don't know if he is the ace in the hole I think the reason we weren't creating much is because Black had such a poor game. If Black is going to be a permanent fixture in the first team there is a lot of responsibility on him to produce chances for our front two from the centre of the park and also chip in with more goals than he has previously contributed
  13. He was getting frustrated at one point and went in for a bad challenge, which would have probably been a yellow card if it wasn't a friendly. It wasn't all bad though he had a shot towards the end of the match that just sailed over the bar.... Black is without doubt one of our most talented players but he was just taking far too long on the ball and got caught out on far too many occasions
  14. Was hard to tell because we were defending for the most of the first half, second half we were playing direct football because we were trying to get the equaliser... Black & Duncan were struggling to pass the ball 10yrds so didn't really leave any other option than hit the ball long
  15. Had an excellent alcohol feuled weekend in Lancashire.... I think we have enough to avoid relegation but I'm not sure whether we'll improve on last season without a couple more signings. First half was dire and we were lucky to only let in 2. First goal was entirly Rossco's fault, Burnley's left winger cut inside onto his right foot, skipped over Tokely's meagre attempt of a challenge and curled the ball past Ikey with an excellent finish. 2nd goal was a catalogue of errors, first of all Tokely lost out on a 50-50 with the left winger who must have weighed as much as Kate Moss.... Elliot then managed to cross the ball, which was intercepted by Hastings at the back post who should have then cleared the ball but instead tried to control it giving Blake from Burnley the chance to tackle and cut back the ball for Eagles' debutant goal. A complete mess, I don't think I've ever seen an ICT defence in such diseray.... embarrassing!! Burnley had more chances than I'd like to count in the first half.... Second half and Brew must have ripped through the team because we started off with much more intent. McBain & Cowie switched flanks creating more oppertunities for Barrowman & Rooney. We were putting a lot of pressure on Burnley but no clear chances until Caldwell struggled to clear the ball, Barrowman used his strength to get infront of him and slotted the ball in the top right corner... great finish when other forwards might have gone for power. We were starting to have more luck playing direct with both Rooney & Barrowman giving the Burnley centre halves a good physical battle, the ball broke to Barrowman outside the box which he directed towards the top corner but it hit off the wrong side of the post. We had a couple of half chances after but nothing worth writing about Negatives: The first half Tokely didn't look as though he could be @rsed Hastings wasn't much better although he did improve in the second half McBain is not a left winger, he looks far more comfortable in the centre of the park... he gets a nose bleed when he is relied on to create something Black took far too long on the ball, Burnley sused that he was going to take an extra touch each time and he lost the ball on far too many occasions Duncan's passing hasn't got any better Positives: Second half I'm convinced Barrowman will score goals, he has excellent composure infront of goal but for a big lad he seems to go down a bit easy Jamie Duff... the defence looked much more solid when he came on to replace McGuire, don't think he missed a tackle and had to mark Akinbiyi when he came on who has given a lot of Premiership defenders a horried time in the past Rooney seems to be a decent player but was quiet for a lot of the game, he had a couple of nice touches and I think he has a few goals to contribute to the team this season Munro, Cowie & Fraser gave decent performances
  16. I'm actually happier that we've been made favourites for the drop, ICT always seem to play best when we have something to prove.
  17. I saw enough on Saturday to make me believe we'll stay up. Our defence is worrying but Barrowman is going to bag enough goals to give us a decent season
  18. I only hate the gypsies more than the junkies, infact, nothing would make me happier than seeing both clubs relegated from their respective leagues. Wyness IMO did nothing for us last season, infact since he came back from Hearts he has never got going, his lack of pace is apparent in the SPL and I don't imagine he is going to bag many goals this season. I would still like to have seen Robb at ICT but it will be a good gauge on our progress, Falkirk managed to do better than us last season I just hope that St Mirren continue to flatter us
  19. Steven Milne
  20. Sadly pretty much every club in Scotland aside from the Old Filth (to an extent) are used as a stepping stone. sorry I didn't phrase that correctly in my rage, should've been: I'm sick of us not getting money for players using us as a stepping stone ARRRRGGHHH :008:
  21. so basically if he plays well he is off but if he doesn't get any better offers he'll sign I'd sell him now and get someone else who will commit to a longer contract as said previously these piddly 2 yr contracts are doing more harm than good If we're not willing to commit to a player how can we then expect them to commit to us getting sick of our club being used as a stepping stone :008:
  22. Wyness scored his first goal for St Mirren against Blackpool but I was amused by a few of the comments re Dargo on the St Mirren forum: know thy enemy think St Mirren are going to have a good team for next season so it's down to Brew to keep them at bay as we have done previously Hamill from Liverpool on loan & Robb are 2 good signings I'd love to have seen with us
  23. probably Elliot :017:
  24. Me +2 travelling down early Saturday and then staying the night in Blackpool for a night on the sesh Chris Eagles just signed for Burnley today on a 3 year deal so expect him to play some part. Burnley have a cracking squad btw, I wouldn't be surprised to see them challenge for a promotion place next season.
  25. why not wait until this is resolved and we know exactly what's happened before starting a witch hunt. Every post so far has been based on speculation from the media, who are always likely to put a spin on the situation ... but it doesn't look good as far as the club are concerned
