  1. I can see what you are saying but have to disagree, Rossco has to defend against wingers arguebly the fastest and most skillful players on the park, he has to be quick on the turn or he would get ripped every game. Dods has been caught out for pace on numerous times this season and one of the main reasons I suggested Rossco as a replacement is because he is so agile, not to mention how dominate a figure he would be in the heart of the defence. Being a centre half is all about positioning yourself and reading the game so you aren't caught out of position and don't have to chase the game (this would be my only worry about Rossco as a centre half), every team I have ever played for the centre halves have been the slowest players in the squad. :023: !!hsep gniklat era uoy yllacisab
  2. How could you possibly know that? I would never have guessed you would disagree with me :014:
  3. Sheerin... Wilson :023:
  4. a centre half needs pace but a right back that bolts up and down the wing doesn't, just doesn't make sense :017: I guarentee that Dod's is the slowest player in the team by a country mile.
  5. think you've got that backwards
  6. CC's thoughts on Caff

I thought he was English :024:
  8. slowly becoming my favourite player in an ICT shirt, the more he is growing in confidence the better he is becoming. His performance against Rangers was a masterclass on how to play in midfield, and as I said on another thread was the best I have seen from any player all season. His passing can be off on the odd occasion but it looks like he has worked hard on it and is becoming more and more consistent.
  9. and surprise, surprise I disagreed then :014: This is for another topic but Caff only played a few games at right back and was excellent against Celtic and Hibs and off the pace in a couple, it's impossible to base an opinion on a handful of games. My main point was Tokely as centre half because it would be a lot easier for CC to find a right back than it would be to get a commanding centre half.
  10. will be absolutely delighted if that is the case :022: :022: :022:
  11. Is there not a good chance that Don Cowie could come straight in as captain, he is County captain after all :023: Have to agree with LG though, Wilson as captain and Munro as vice captain ofr next season anyway
  12. These players never learn... no player/manger (bar maybe Robson) escapes the curse!! In all seriousness I'm a bit gutted with both Dargo and Dods, not showing a bit more of the loyalty shown to them by the club. It is down to the player himself on how good he perform and what standard he plays but ICT gave them both the platform to show they still had what it takes. I wouldn't expect them to finish their career with us but it would have been nice if they at least extended their contracts for another year so we could get some cash for them.
  13. He was excellent against the gers and has been all season, chipped in with a couple of important goals aswell!! Him and Hastings have been consistentley good all season, both are a credit to the club!!
  14. Should be back and agree totally, I would like to think that CC will give Dod's one game back so we get a chance to show some appreciation. on a seperate note, I would really, really like to see Tokely tested at Centre half. The amount of headers he won in the six yard box on Saturday was incredible (made up for Caff's weakness in the air) I think Caff could match more than most defenders on the deck and he reads the game extremely well but we someone that can win the challenges in the air and I don't see Caff doing that unfortunately... would like to see him given a chance to prove me wrong though
  15. Although this thread was having a dig at at a few of the fandangos that were asking for Christie's job after the dunfermline game, my main point is still valid: Why was there more posts last week when we had a bad result than this week when we pulled off the performance of the season?? Seems everyone is happier to see the team fail to win :shrug01:
  16. After the dunfermline game there was a hive of activity on this site with posters, like you, chomping at the bit for Christie's head on the chopping block. This week the team pulls off the performance of the season, against a Rangers team that have been in excellent form of late, we have had about 20-30 posts So I am taking the silence from you negative besterds as golden!! You are more happy when the team loses so you have something to complain about... really sums up how pathetic your life must really be :024: :024: :024: :024: :014: :014: :014: :014: :014: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :014: :024: :014:
  17. :015: sorry mate, still quite hungover
  18. Would be a great replacement for Dods
  19. Would like to see Dod's sending off again, I thought it was a shoulder barge that Boyd (?) made the best/worst of, although a few of the lads saw an elbow. As Paulibee says, in a strange way the team galvanised and possibly came away with a better result than we would have with 11 men. I have to disagree tm4tj, although Caff might have been an obvious sub to bring on it was who was brought off that was important, I've seen many a manager/team in our position playing with just the 1 upfront and try to reduce the damage. To be fair to CC he left Dargo on and tried to leave the game as open as possible so we could try and nick a goal. The free kick straight after the sending off is my only complaint about yesterday, Fraser set up his wall and then stood in the middle of the goal, I'm sure it was a well hit freekick but thought that Mikey should have done better. We had to soak up the pressure in the first half, I lost count of the number of headers Tokely made in the 6 yard box but Fraser was never really tested. The second half we looked as though we meant business, we played a great counter attacking game, as soon as the defense got the ball there was always an option or a willing runner, you couldn't tell that we had a man less. Fraser :003: :003: :003: :003: Question his positioning for the freekick but made up for it in the 2nd half with 2 important saves. Tokely :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: Absolutely rock solid, he won; headers, tackles, used possesion well. IMO it is worth considering Tokely for centre half next season, he has all the attributes and it would be a lot easier to find a good right back than a leader at the back. Dods :003: Have to see a replay before I make any judgements, if it was an elbow then it was extremely stupid Munro :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: Excellent, first class defensive performance Hastings :003: :003: :003: :003: Wasn't getting much hep from Rankin at times but defended well, his distribution was off on a couple of occasions though Duncan :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: :001: (6/5) Duncan was sublime (never thought I'd say that) his cheeky freekick would have been goal of the season without a doubt and his bit of skill at our own corner flag was absolutely top drawer. Didn't think much of the colour of his boots but they certainly did the trick. He was everywhere and always wanted the ball, which took the pressure off the rest of the players. By far... the best performance I have seen from any ICT player this season!! Rankin :003: :003: :003: Didn't really have a great game to be honest, he sharpened up in the second half but gave away possesion far too easily in the first. Hart :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: Needs to be given more games, he was excellent yesterday, did a power of running, with and without the ball. Another player that gave everything for the team, showed he has plenty to offer ICT. Paatalienen :003: :003: Had to take one for the team, he looked a bit disappointed when he came off but was definitely the right decision from CC Bayne :003: :003: :003: :003: Chased and fought for everything, never really got any breaks of the ball but did his bit. Dargo :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: Worked his erse off and was rewarded with a strikers goal, shame he is off next season but would nice to see a few more goals from him before he leaves. Subs Caff :003: :003: :003: :003: :003: Great performance, and I'm sure he enjoyed having the captains armband. He made a couple of cracking tackles and interceptions. Wilson :003: :003: :003: Perfect sub to bring on towards the end of the match, he caused the Rangers defence plenty of problems McSwegan :003: On to waste some time Great performance :025: :025: :025: :025: :025:
