  1. Don't feckin eat doner kebabs! In terms of trans fat, eating 1 kebab is like eating 6 big mac & fries in one go. Plus it sits there for God knows how long being reheated, then reheated, then reheated...food poisoning to go. I know things are bad at TCS, but there are more humane ways to do yourself in than eating doner kebabs from a take-away!
  2. "Who's the ******* in the black?"
  3. I'm not going as I've found something more exciting to do on a Saturday afternoon. I'm going to paint some walls and watch them dry.
  4. If you are talking about the 1-5 game against Morton in the late 90s, I was actually there at that Friday evening game at Crappielow. Yeah it was a pish result, but I don't remember driving back up the A9 thinking we hadn't tried. Changed days now.
  5. Try waving 100K/year to manage a SPL club in front of his nose and watch the "other commitments" disappear bloody rapidly!
  6. Today how I wish I had followed your example and been thrown out of a game v Falkirk.
  7. Fighting, scrapping and kicking the living sh1t out of everything that moved I have no doubt.
  8. If the starting 11 had applied themselves the way Rory did when he came on today we'd have had that game won by half time. Remember Barry Robson in the late 90s? He was so gash he went on loan to Forfar and now he's playing for Scotland and scoring against Barcelona in the Champions League! It's time to give Rory, and maybe one or two other younger players, a run in the team. What do we have to lose? They surely can't do any worse than the current lot.
  9. I think anybody interested in taking over Gretna is doing it only to buy their SFL membership, what they plan to do with it after that is known only to themselves. They certainly won't be hanging around Gretna for long. A quick relocation and a change of name and before you know it Clydebank, Third Lanark, Pollock or whoever are playing in the SFL. Personally, I would love to see a team based in Argyll to replace Gretna in the Scottish leagues.
  10. Maybe we should be blaming the players, most of whom look like they can't be arsed at all. Some very lazy "performances" out there today. It's unfair to blame the manager when the players clearly aren't doing the job they are being paid to do.
  11. Good luck to Marius. With Mutu struggling to be fit this is a great chance for Marius to show what he can do. Hope it all goes well for you big man. Good performance and maybe a goal and we'll all have something to shout for this Summer!
  12. Niculae put in a good shift on Saturday, a good example of this was when he lost the ball in an attacking position, only for him to chase the Hearts player back across the halfway line to tackle him and win it back. Pass marks also to Hastings who put in his usual 100%, Wyness and Proctor also showed up well when they came on. I was in Tesco by the time Rory had his effort on goal. The midfield needs a feckin good shake. I'd go 4-4-2 against Falkirk and drop Patti and Duncan, giving a midfield of Cowie, Hart, Black & Imrie. Front two should be Wyness & Niculae.

    Man of the Match

Dyce? I used to know someone who lived quite nearby in Newmachar. Nice place.
  14. Let's hope it stays that way. An awful footballer who lacks the basic skills required at this level. Let him get on his way and good luck in the SFL, Russell. We're so bad now I'm beyond angry. Son and I just sat there today laughing at our ineptitude. We are garbage, and if things don't improve by the end of the season it is going to be difficult to justify ?360 out of the family budget for season tickets for 08/09.
  15. His goal celebrations should be worth the admission money alone. Clicky

    Who's happy?

Yep, happy here too. There are a fair few clubs not in the SPL who would consider themselves to be a "bigger club" than ICT. We are punching well above our weight just now, and long may it continue. As someone who has had a season ticket most years since 1994, I consider every season spent in the SPL to be a blessing. On the other hand, some people need to give themselves a reality check.
  17. It makes sense that the less skillful players in the SPL (Bayne, Hunt etc...) are also the hardest working. If they had an average workrate with the skill they have they would be playing SFL1 or lower. The problem with playing Bayne from the start is that we bypass our midfield, the strongest part of our team. Every game I've seen this season where Bayne has started we have been poor, or average at best. I agree that he is excellent coming on as a second half sub though.
  18. This quote from the Killie board seems to sum up their feelings: "Just shows you what kind of barrel we're scraping about in now. Can't even afford Graeme Bayne. Jesus Christ. " :015: :015: :015:
  19. Let's hope he is a bit more committed than the last "Dougie" we had, who I last saw enjoying a fag in the Caley Club after a match! :icon_ganja:
  20. I'm quite surprised that no-one seems to have cottoned on to the fact that "Sophia" is actually a bloke purporting to be a female!
  21. Looking at the figures, Clach seem to get around the 250 mark for home games. At an average ticket price of ?5 multiplied by 14 home games a season that makes gate receipts of around ?17500. Once the rent of ?14000 is paid that doesn't leave a **** of a lot to go round. I would be tempted to say the CGF should reduce the rent to help make Clach viable, but if they haven't paid any rent for 2-3 years then there's no point as they obviously can't afford to pay any rent.
  22. No, it implies that we would be willing to sell him rather than keep him tied to his contract. I think the fee we got for Rankin was a good bit of business. He was a much over-rated player in my opinion, and was only in the team of late to get him in the "shop window".
  23. I'd go with ICT Ultras or Caley Thistle Ultras. I definitely don't want any mention of clan in the name. To me it conjures up images of shortbread tins and Andy Stewart. Don't like the family either. I think Pat Butcher owns the copyright anyway. Bridge End Ultras really does sound like a mob looking for a fight. To the outsider, it has no connection to the football club whatsoever. Sounds more like a bunch of dockers dying to kick the sh1t out of someone. The tag Ultras is nothing to be ashamed of. Those that think of Ultras in a negative manner really need to get up to date. As Scotty says, the Red Ultras Aberdeen site is very informative. I suggest some of the "old farts" take a look!
  24. A wee clip, taken from the back of the North Stand, of the teams running on to the pitch is on YouTube here for anyone that's interested.
