When Will We Get Our Own Identity?
This song that started "When we went to Buckie" was great, and could be adapted to suit our current league status. Not sure how it would sit with ex-jaggies during the chorus though.

When Will We Get Our Own Identity?
Caledonia would be awful. Far too cheesy and cringeworthy. I would much prefer an original number, penned by an ICT fan somewhere. How about the Supporters Trust organize a competition and fund a decent prize to the winner?

When Will We Get Our Own Identity?
We need a signature tune like "Hearts, Hearts Glorious Hearts". Catchy, upbeat and free from any bigotry. I think a songwriting competition is a good idea, and if someone can sort a prize (season ticket or home/away kit?) for the winner then there should be a good few entries.

Don Cowie
Good luck to Don. Watford have always been my English team so I'm delighted he's gone there rather than Utd, 'Well or suchlike. Quite amusing reading the comments in the Watford Observer link as posted by Tichy_Blacks_Back earlier. Apparently Don is a ?2-3 million rated player who Rangers and Celtic were chasing as a Summer capture on a free, but Watford pulled the rug from under their feet by snapping him up in the January window. Aye right.

Dougie Imrie
If it's got to be 4-4-2 then I'd rather see Imrie as a forward, or perhaps more like an old inside-forward. However, I'd prefer to see him on the left of an attacking 3 in a 3-4-3 formation.

Highlanders Or Mercenaries?
Add Hastings to that list. I remember watching him when he was about 17 playing at Telford St in Inverness Cup games. A very promising attacking left-sided midfielder he was then. Also Black was only 19 when he signed for us. There is a balance to be struck between having local boys and experienced pros from elsewhere in the side, with maybe 3-5 local lads being about right.

Brian Kerr signs
Not much happened on the final day of the window, we did get a wee mention on the BBC Tranfer Deadline Day feature though.

Very confident that we will beat the drop now. Bye bye Falkirk from the SPL.

Radio saying Imrie and Barrowman up front with Foran left midfield.

Unsung Heros / Heroines
Well at the moment we just don't know where "speaking out" is going to get us. Hopefully up the league, but it is a bit premature to assume that now Brewster has gone and Butcher is in place everything will be rosy.

Team for Celtic
You forgot about our best player on the day...Broonie.

Relegation: A 2 Horse Race?
There is a lot at steak. Our offal season means we could be for the chop. We are mince in front of goal and poor on the flanks. We did well to chuck Brewster though, and if we can avoid the drop I think a ham shank would be in order.

Relegation: A 2 Horse Race?
With 10 games 'till the split we really have to get the finger out now. 6 of them are definitely winnable though...Hibs(H), 'Well(H), Killie(H), Falkirk(A), St Mirren(H) and Accies(H). I think we're looking at taking 15 or 16 points from those 10 games to give us a fighting chance post-split. Still lots to play for.

Don Cowie
I'm delighted for Don. Watford have been my English team since the late 70s. Still have great memories of meeting the likes of Luther Blissett and Ross Jenkins on a visit to Vicarage Road back then. Don was always going to leave us at the end of the season. Might as well be to the Championship where he can't do us any harm. Mon the Hornets!

No ICT Subbuteo
All I Want for Christmas Is a Dukla Prague Away Kit by the fantastic Half Man Half Biscuit. "So he'd send his doting mother up the stairs with the stepladders To get the Subbuteo out of the loft He had all the accessories required for that big match atmosphere The crowd and the dugout and the floodlights too You'd always get palmed off with a headless centre forward And a goalkeeper with no arms and a face like his" Never mind Livingston, Queens Park are in the SPL apparently.

New Manager Poll
Let's see what everyone thinks at this stage...

Clear favourites unlikely to be Manager?
Here's a seaman joke.

New manager thread (merged)
From the P&J story: "A board meeting will be held today to determine the next course of action, but the Press and Journal understands guesses veteran winger Wilson, who was freed by Brewster earlier this month, is in the frame to make a surprise return to the Highlands might get the job." I would have thought the other way round too. We're in no position to be giving a rookie manager his first job.

Time for change
I'm getting a bit p1ssed off with people who post on here in an attempt to sway fans' opinion one way or another relative to an individual or group of people. This forum is for ICT fans to debate amongst themselves. It is not for people "in the know", or those who are mates with influential people to try and sway fans' opinions. To those that are attempting to do that, BUGGER OFF.

sportscene
Really looking forward to it. Just like the good old days, football highlights on a Saturday night. Wish it was the same every week.

Agree with you there, people should not be judged on the jobs that they do...unless they are taxi drivers :018: :thumb04:

Best post I've read on here in ages, and with the use of perfect English I can safely assume it was not posted by anyone in high office at ICT!
