Harsh cuts at this time will be bad. Savings must be made but the way in which the government goes about them are important. From what I can gather, the Tories don't have a real manifesto.

I don't hate them. They hate us though. I look at county as being our feeder club. Got to admit it's pretty decent of them to lay on buses at the boards expense to get people down to Hampden.

How long has he got left to run on his contract? A year? TB and MM have only a year left... How much would that annoy the county fans if he left to come over the bridge...

Put your flamethrowers down here before you shoot me down in flames, but are any of you planning going to the cup final? Apologies for posting this on the ICT thread but I thought more folk would see it on here as opposed to the general nonsense thread. I've spoken to few of my friends - mostly Aberdeen fans from the highlands who are planning it. I also spoke to a friend today who is a pars fan who is also planning it (all in the county end). I'm half tempted to go as both sides play decent football but on the other hand I grudge giving them cash.

Our 3-1 on Feb 8th was much bigger. The Celtic side they played arrived at Hampden expecting to win. County played some excellent stuff on Saturday and they have a great chance of lifting the cup.

EWS, you picked up on the merging of police forces if they are underachieving. That wouldn't happen north of the border due to justice being devolved. The dynamic of this election really has changed since devolution. What's interesting is that Labour are promising to give more powers to the Scottish Parliament. What saddens me is the polls are suggesting a predicted turnout of only around 55%.

I wonder if they'll open the terracing for us this time? The main stand was good during the 5-1 game but I can't envisage there being enough space in it.

Looks like you've got enough to start a club there. At least you'll be able to watch the SPL coverage of the team from next season together.

1st division champions may be a better bet IMHO. The longevity of hiya Leigh hiya pal will be pretty short eh.

Cup for sure. If United finish 3rd, will that mean that county are through to the qualifying stages of the Europa Cup?

We were the underdogs at the start of the season. The bookies had us at 10-1 ffs. I've thought since about Christmas we've got the players to win the league. None of the other teams really look anything special. The pressure is on Dundee. I got a call today from a guy I work with who is a life-long dundee fan. He was trying to give it the whole 'oooh 4 points you must be nervous chat'. I'd like to see us back as it would mean more money for the club - youth development etc. But I've really enjoyed this season.

Curse this league table! I'm in for another sleepless night. Half thinking now about heading up to the QoS game on Saturday from London. How far is it from Glasgow by train down there? (off topic I know)
