Scottish cup quarter final draw
I'd be happy with an awayday at Easter Road. Spartans would be good - Ainslie Park is a great wee ground and the pies are top notch.

Communication by the club
Car crash stuff. The Twitter account is decent.

Replacement Striker?
What was it Alan Hansen said?

Replacement Striker?
Without meaning to sound like a happy clapper, attracting players and retaining the services of who we would like to see remain at the club would be far easier if we had more fans attending. Replacing Mckay is a big ask - which player realistically is out there who: A). We could afford and B). Is a proven goalscorer. Personally I'd like to see the young players on the fringes get a good run in the first XI

Shine bright Mikey Diamond. The obsession from the wee team is unbelievable.

Replacement Striker?
Why not give Ferguson and Sutherland chances? I'd give them at least 6 starts each to see how they get on. We should be looking closer to home though and bringing in talented youngsters from across Scotland. We should look at St Johnstone as they do very good job on this front.

Inverness CT -V- Ross County
BBC match report says it should have been a penalty. "Pictures revealed that Reguero had indeed clipped Watkins and he struggled to retain his balance before tumbling." Footage will confirm it and also confirm that County goal was a clear hand ball...assuming we get more than 30 seconds on Sportscene. Sportscene show ICT highlights?

Yogi Interview....
Someone on Twitter said Shinnie didn't get 100% today. Fair comment? I am only going on what I read as I couldn't make it today.

What happened to the links with Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday?

Billy Mckay
IHE, It appears you're writing a film script.

Billy Mckay
It'll be interesting to see how he gets on (if the deal is finalised). Malky Mackay hasn't exactly had a great start there.

Graeme Shinnie
I'm genuinely surprised he's heading to AFC. I thought he'd be going south to an English Championship side.

Yogi not happy
Entirely sensible points he has made in the P&J. 6 week month in terms of pay day, and arctic weather? He's spot on about January. Summer football is 100% the way forward.

Merger Talk
His team is still bottom though.

Team for St Johnstone.
Doran - and especially Christie - offer a creative spark which was desperately lacking yesterday.
-
The pitch
This happened to his team when he was in change at Hibs.

Do we have any sport science/S&C provision?
Agreed - and also a difficult aspect to manage within the context of the year of a footballer or indeed many other team sport players. The problem is that football has no obvious "peak" and players need effectively to be at a high level of performance for the entire season. Apart from a few weeks' pre-season, this leaves little scope to have periods of the year where players can focus on strength or top up endurance which must be a nightmare from a coaching point of view. Coming from an athletics background where you can identify a relatively small number of targeted peaks, I don't envy the dilemma of football coaches. For instance, when there is a game every weekend (and sometimes midweek) of the season which is no less important than most others, how do you programme in your SandC? At one end of the week you need some recovery from the previous match and at the other you don't want to let it run too close to the next one. The same goes for topping up aspects of running related fitness although games do contribute here, and all of this is on top of the time needed to work on teachical and team aspects of the game. On the other hand there is the option of "double sessions" which are a perfectly viable consideration for full time professionals with no constraints of a day job to manipulate training requirements round. Fascinating you focus on the physical side of things Charles. It's evident the manager knows a great deal more than you do.
