Is the G-word racist?
If the fans in the North stand stand and sing " sit down if you hate gypsies, sit down if you hate gypsies", Will this leave those sitting in the main stand liable to arrest or being thrown out?

Roll Call For C*unty
Ditto. Really can't be f*cked with this anymore, turning out to be more trouble than it's worth. I'll watch the Old Filth and then our game after it, with a few pints. Yeap.... Watch the Old Filth hurl dog's abuse at each other, while the police and stewards don't bat a feckin eyelid. So true Johnboy, they will sing their songs about killing each other, glorify murderers, ridicule each other's religion, support terrorist groups, all in front of millions on SKY, and there may be a couple of token arrests and a warning on fans beaviour from SFA(again) We use the G word, in a game to be watched by a few thousand, the club is scared of fines and other sanctions and everyone is up for arrest and getting chucked out, Think I will be sticking to away games, except new year game as I've already booked hotel.

Why? We will be out before then! Dont see the harm in it at all but then, we have only lost ONE* penalty shootout in our existance against Alloa in Cup final in 2000 *i think? ...and fouth round of Scottish cup 2006 v Partick. Lost 4-2 on pens

Roll Call For C*unty
Will you not get a random ticket when you pay to get in? Giving the stewards the excuse to split up the usuals in G section by insisting you sit in the seat number on your ticket. If I put on my conspiracy hat, does anyone think there might be less G section tickets available on Sunday?

What could of been
I wouldn't worry about him, he only played a minor role.

Is the G-word racist?
I was at the Galpharm stadium on Saturday. Most away fans stood for most of the game and many of the home support stood through the game. I didn't see anyone being spoken too or being thrown out. The atmosphere was brilliant, especially in last 15/20 min when Huddersfield were pushing on for a goal. I would assume Huddersfield work under roughly the same rules. The stewarding was very relaxed and the fans were free to create a proper football ground atmosphere, cheering on their team with the occasional bit of banter with away fans.

Is the G-word racist?
If those are the rules being used, Why do the stewards/those in charge only pick on certain rules with certain people?. How many of us have used a mobile phone/camera during a game?, how many have sworn at a game? how many have had decent drink before a game? how many have stood during a game whilst not at the seat stated on your ticket? I am guilty as charged on all counts. So why have I not even been spoken to by a steward/someone in charge? Could it have something to do with the fact I am a 45 year old, 6ft 1in, 22stone, with my head shaved, and not a youngster who they feel they can intimidate.

Prices for sunday?
Only if you take the oath on the bible after paying but before entering the ground; I do promise to sit on my seat, I do promise not to swear, I do promise not to sing, I do promise not to pass opinion on how the ICT or opposing team are playing, I do promise not to utter the G word, I do promise to do what a steward tells me to do, no matter how stupid or rude the steward is. Then and only then can you enter the asylum.

Home Form
you have a point, but the club are telling stewards to enforce 'no standing' and even censoring words from songs so its a no win situation. I should probably add that it appears to be restricted to the home end as ive lost count of the times away fans come to our stadium and stand if they want and sing what they like. i saw a game on the TV the other week of the Manchester United vs Liverpool game and saw crowd footage of thousands of people standing. If standing at games is tolerated and also not causing direct health and safety problems at a stadium with over 70,000 fans then why is it such a problem at TCS? IMO i think the home form problem is all psychological, its not that we cant play well because we can. Its something that we need to sort out ASAP because if not we are going to see a mid-table finish in Div 1 at best! Your point about standing is spot on. I was at Huddersfield Town game in a newish stadium, on Saturday. In the crowd of nearly 15,000 there were groups standing and singing all through the game, from both sets of fans, drums all through the game some swearing and abuse shouted(deservedly) from fans at players and officials, and yet I never seen a steward tell anyone to shut up or sit down. There was no trouble and it was a great atmosphere. PS: And the food was excellent as well as being able to have a beer before the game and at half-time as well as watch SSN on the numerous TV's around the ground for ICT updates. Well maybe it wasn't all good. PPS. Huddersfield have a LDZ clone. Theo Robinson, looks like, runs like, has a touch like and plays like LDZ

C*unty cup game televised?
Doofers Dad, What's the Gaelic for "Gypsy"? Found this as a possible translation, Ceardannan, pronounced 'Keearstannan' was the name given to the itinerant travelling people from the far North of Scotland. Maybe check with Mike Smith and stewards if it will be permissable to use at TCS.

Is the G-word racist?
What the club and the SFA needs to do is, grow a backbone and tell the moaning PC brigade to get a life, and if they go to a game of football, especially a local derby game, expect both sets of fans to sing songs, shout chants that will not be particularly complimentary about each other. These idiots( can I call someone lacking in sense that?) who want to censor or ban anything that might offend away supporters, ie chants, songs, music etc, to me, they are offending every ICT fan. The people they are offending are the people that pay their season tickets, pay at the gate for home gates, pay for merchandise, these are the people they should be looking after. But yet again under the guise of the SFA/SFL rules they are on a power trip over the fans. As for the alledged abuse at Lionel, I have never heard any at games I have been to. Perhaps he was being abused, but not for being black, but because he is not a very good player, and does tend to make a few mistakes during most games. Or are we now not allowed to voice an opinion on how black players play in case the PC brigade get up in arms.

Utd 4 City 3
...and now Celtic screw my line for today with another injury time goal.
-
Utd 4 City 3
Totally pee'd off, I had Bellamy to be last scorer at 9/1 :sleep01: Should have known it would go into Man U time. No trainers on in second half, 3 subs and still 4 min injury time shown. Then 1 sub in that 4 min period, goal scored in 95:56. Only 16 seconds played after goal celebrations. Think ref could be in for a hard time, and rightly so.

What the feck has happened

England look the business
Living down here in englandshire for the past few years has changed my view on the Scotland england rivalry thing. I used to be one of these guys who would cheer on anyone against england at anything. But after living here and mixing with the natives my view has changed. I have seen how english people have responded to my accent, how they make comments on my tattoo, how they make refrence to my Scotland and ICT stickers on my cars, how they reacted to me wearing the kilt at my recent wedding. All of this has convinced me that I was wrong in my belief in cheering against england in sporting events. Because after all the racist abuse, vandalising my van and car to get stickers off, binmen who drag my bin 20 yards down the road because it has a scotland flagged number on it(everyone elses is left on drive) the laughter and abuse I got whilst in my kilt, and many other things that have happened in my time here, I think I will cheer louder, and louder at every game for whoever they play and at whatever they play at. EG Germany 6 england 2 in womans euro's the other day. Oh how I laughed. If this makes me sad so be it, but don't be niaive and think that england fans are not the same down here as fans are in Scotland. Its not just the media thats anti Scotland. Some of the general public are indeed more anti Scotland. And you will ask why am I here then? We all make mistakes, except, for meeting the latest mrs dude who is Yorkshireese. But like Scotland there are the exceptions, and there are quite a lot of good people here as well. Some of whom actually understand why some of us Scots feel the way we do.

Alba Cup Semi Draw
As one of the semi's is supposed to be on TV, albeit on the Alba, I can't believe it won't be our game. Good for us exiles, as well as more income for the club.

Scotland team for Holland
Thats my prediction. on @ 20/1 Also Kuyt as first scorer and 3-0 @ 105/1 Holland evens to win. Should be money for nothing. At least if we get gubbed, I might make some money at it. And if we win, we might get to play-off, win-win. Just hope its not a draw.

Alba Cup
Annan, away, for the semi final will do for me then. Nice Sunday out. Then County in the final.
