  1. It was a statement of my personal opinion. I never named names. But it appears that I am far from being the sole discerner. I have criticised the board as their handling of social media and fan engagement has been dire. As I alluded to they had more pressing tasks to attend to first and hopefully now that will commence. My wish was and is that CJT will provide a strong voice and this will not be a turkey shoot as it has been for some time. My concern is that divisions and personal suspicions may have developed on BOTH sides and there simply has to be more give and take. Nothing wrong with having a pop with a rationale but adding a more positive observation in there as well.
  2. I have had a premonition of the next meeting
  3. Now that was quick. The Yeovil Board have introduced Gary in his new role.
  4. As far as I am concerned I have both praised and criticised the Board. My perception is that it is mainly the CJT names that are making most of the negative criticism and encouraging some others to criticise with no clear rationale or understanding of business. And just look at who has overreacted !! This forum lives on speculation, rumour and personal opinions. Long may it last. I just wish that the vultures would ignore the scraps every now and then and announce that they are not feeding on raw grizzle and advise the flock of seagulls to retreat.
  5. Sure the board have made some PR and communication gaffes BUT their undoubted initial task was to sort out the financial stability whilst trying not to affect the team balance and keep hope for the new season. I actually think that they may well have achieved that. I would have also thought that Robbo would have been off ski if he smelt a rat. I think that we are better prepared pre-season than we ever have been before. I think that we have a squad that can hold it's own in this league. I also think that if the players develop then we will be in the next set of play offs. The board are on a hiding to nothing with the vultures waiting to pounce on mere scraps of mistakes. Now Stage 1 is complete it is now the time to look at the other improvements which need to be made. I was hoping that CJT would be part of bringing that about but it feels like there continues to be an internal political power game continuing. The only way is up but that has to be together.
  6. I can't believe that people actually think that Yeovil have made a good signing with Gary. He is clearly at the end of his career and I suspect getting closer to home and playing in the reserves is going to be his swan song. Most people did not think that he would get a game for us and now some are making him the captain of Yeovil. Good luck Gary and thanks for the great memories.
  7. And the Yeovil, Bristol and Aldershot Tour ?
  8. I would like to see Dumbfarmlife at the Dump in a Cup
  9. Now is the summer of our discontent.
  10. The bottom line is that it is Robbo and his "boot room" who make the player choices.
  11. Well you try and back this new regime but simple errors continue to be made. afraid that it is a case of at least one step forward and one step back. It only smacks that there is some sort of cover ups going on. Decision probably makes sense to most but the manner is more suggestive of a cruel, blunt dumping than a considered and amicably agreed farewell. And it simply is not rocket science to have got it right.
  12. "Handsome" - Are you sucking the pipes these days instead of blowing ?
  13. Lets hope that our savvy new Coo has done a deal with the Aberdire seagull.
  14. Perhaps this needs a response "Thank you" and "Good Luck". Also puts pressure on the Internet whingers to do something constructive if they have a constructive criticism.
  15. Perhaps the players could have a good "training" work out against a "bigger" team - and perhaps somebody could "save" the WC Semi and enjoy thereafter. I bet that at the price there will be a fair Dons support plus a load of Sneckie kids. Perhaps a gamble BUT I would rather watch ICT than the World Cup. WE AINT FECKIN THERE !!
  16. I was told that Charlie Bannerman has also been seen in Inverness.
  17. Unfortunately we would probably never have won anything with a team of Scots far less Highlanders. It is good to be able to sing "He's one of our own" to at least a couple of them. Only problem is that if they shine with us they are quickly swooped on by a large number of better financed predators. My problem has always been with the signing of evident mercenaries.
  18. Now I would agree that rules are rules and deadlines are deadlines but I feel that CJT have "boobed" yet again. Just received the following e-mail - "The EMC have reviewed all nominations and there are 3 late submissions. There will be space to co opt others so the late submissions will be given to the new board who will consider the options". Personally I am not overly bothered as I applied to show support and offer assistance from afar - so I can wait. But I NEVER received ANY correspondence from CJT and the first that I knew of the application form and the very, very short deadline was Caley D's post. But it is sad that the two others cant just be considered from the off.
  19. As Harry S Truman once said to me "Johndo, if you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen" and then the man from Everest who was drinking with us added "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". And then this woman sitting at the bar beside us - who I later learnt was a certain J.M Richards butted in with "Boys if it happened to me I would say - If you want to call it quits, just tell me. Man up and say it to my face. Don’t just skulk around" Anyway I am reliably informed that a trimmed down Caley D has turned to CB for jogging advice and they have been out running together as virtual harriers.
  20. Nairn has a better beach.
  21. 9 points from the first three games would be my initial wish - Falkirk away then Ayr and Alloa at the Dump. Very do-able ?
  22. Well I finally got it in - albeit 2 hours and 3 minutes late !! Perhaps that may debar me ?? Not sure what role I can provide from afar but at least I felt that I had to make the offer. So who else has applied ?? Or are we into confidentiality and political correctness ?
