  1. 70 feckin miles an hour down Killiecrankie - GO YOMPA
  2. By urinating on them - reference to the seats of course.
  3. Changed days ??!! Would have taken the family down the Ferry to the pub in the 60's and 70's
  4. What about Aberdeen ? Or Clachnacuddin ?
  5. I found myself supping vodka cocktails watching the squad training in the Spanish sun in the Costa del Dodds region - sponsored by Tulloch Beach Properties where the gittes are looked after by the Gardener. Well better spending it on a feckin concert !!
  6. I am afraid that the first contract to be discussed and decided will be the one currently held by Billy Dodds. That puts us in a real quandary. I suspect that Dodds has learned from this season but I cant see him changing the system that he has stuck to. I am afraid that most coaching schools and many teams, of varied skill and ability, advocate the play it out from the back, tippy-tappy crab like system and hoof if in trouble. I dislike it and yearn for somebody to shake the norm and adapt a more Pele Paterson style of play. I was hoping that Dodds and Robbo would stand aside but that is NOT going to happen. However it will tell us a lot about the dressing room if or when Dodds staying is announced and see who jumps ship and who stays. Deas and Allardyce are almost certain to leave. A lot will depend on the loan purchases and I also yearn for a target player up front and a return to our previously successful pairings of target man and pacy sidekick. I also hope that if any managerial contracts are being carried out then it is for the season and review and the supporting muppets are culled (I am not referring to Grassa ). Can see a number of short term (3 month contracts) may be offered but acceptance would suggest that those involved are signing for the Cup Final only.
  7. Bet there would be more entries than seats in the North Stand
  8. Great - I will have to begin training on Market Street (Chorley) asap
  9. Afraid that Dodds is in a no win situation as armchair managers all have their own visions and views. I dont think that Carson is a full/wing back and he is more effective in the middle of the park. Danny MacKay would not be my choice but he was MOM in the semi final so why bench him. Doran to me has become a last 20-30 minute substitute. Dodds was right to consider hooking people early doors but I suspect that he may have been worried about the vitriol that would have incurred. I thought that his post match interview was acceptable and that he did take a degree of the blame. Anyway answer my questions with an honest yes or no - based on before the match started. The bottom line surely must lie with another question - IF YOU were Billy Dodds would you be staying ?? My response would be "no feckin way". But it is not just Dodds that needs to go and some of the others will stay blaming him.
  10. Time to pose another few questions ? Should we get rid of Dodds before the Cup Final ? Is missing out on the play offs more of a positive than a negative ? Would we have been totally fecked if we were to progress in the play offs ? What can we do in the next few weeks to prepare ? Now Dodds - IMHO - provided quite an encouraging response to the last question - we take a whole week off to recuperate. We then get together like a training camp - work on fitness, work on team building and work on how to take on Celtic and start the final with a clear plan. And most importantly - Are we organising a pub for either pre or post Cup Final - or both ???
  11. I am going to stick by Dodds in starting the same 11 as the cup semi-final. Can I pose some important questions - Did we "hoof" the ball to wee Billy anymore than we did at Hampden ? I note that Allardice had an off day - has he not been the rock in the midfield ? was his form a big negative last night ? Welsh was struggling at the end of the Hamilton and Hampden games ? How did he look last night ? Would you have started Carson in midfield in preference to either Allardice and Welsh ? Would starting Carson at right back been more effective / Would that have been fair on either Duffy or Harper ? I agree that Shaw is a more effective winger but would you have dropped either Danny MacKay or Henderson to start Shaw in that decision ? SO was it the formation or was it the players who failed - or both ? Were the changes made in the second half positive and understandable ? Would you have kicked off if you had been heckled ? Was that not borne out of the same disappointment and frustration as felt in the stands ? Does this defeat wipe out the performances and results achieved in the last couple of months ? If somebody said to you in February that we would be in with a play off chance in the last game of the season would you have laughed ? Would you have believed that we would be in the Scottish Cup Final and playing Celtic ? Now I do think that Robbo and Dodds need to go and we need a manager with a different style and approach. That may be the only way that we keep some of the current squad and attract newbies. Jettisoning Scott Gardner does not make any sense but does he have the tackle to jettison Dodds and Robbo. Simply offer them a lesser contract and refuse BBC release.
  12. I will start off with - How the feck do you start off without the original starters from the Semi Final - we have been employing the tippy tappy from the back for most of the season which the large majority of teams also employ - I dont like it and would prefer the Pele approach - but that sadly is in the past. It was unfortunately a game too far = I suspect Allardice and especially Welsh were knackered. And to end with - I actually think that a month off could be to our advantage. We would have been on our knees if we got through the play offs. This could still end up as the seasons of all seasons. And now a lot of things can be sorted out behind the scenes. And lets just pause to reflect on what we have accomplished in the last couple of months. I now would suggest that Dodds and Robbo have their swansongs at the top, at Hampden - bow out and let some new blood in at the helm.
  13. To take some of the pressure off Old Caley Girl
  14. As RIG alluded to earlier this is as much if not more to do with BBC as Viaplay.
  15. Do you think that I will get more than double for concession tickets
  16. Well TBH I am undecided. I wholly concede that injuries have significantly affected our season but some of the tactics and decisions made during games were baffling and added to the poor performances. I also read that Dodds is going to loosen the training schedules if we make the play offs. Surely we did'nt train gungho last season ??!! There was also a part of the season that many players looked cheesed off BUT the "togetherness" feeling certainly does appear high at the present time. The beef with Ridgers did not help either. BUT you learn from your mistakes and this season simply has to have been a massive learning curve for Dodds. I would offer a season long contract with a clause to prolong. Finances would wholly support that. And Dodds has been tarnished with the same brush as others above him and that does look unfair. The result on Friday may well still have an influence but all I care about is beating Ayr and the achievements of Play Offs and the BIGGEST ever game in our history cant be ignored. Those achievements are not gained by fools.
  17. But perhaps a 17.30 kick off would allow more time for pre-match preparations ?
  18. To avoid a clash with the FA Cup Final !!! and will be playing when the Epsom Derby is run. So much for your traditional 3.00 kick off and any consideration for the travelling supports !!
  19. Let’s face it our significant improvement on the field as watered down the previously expected vitriol. Are the upper echelons not primarily focused on the budgets and explaining the spending - or perhaps utilising clever concealment. So many were baying for this AGM and it has been a damp squib - giving no real responses to the fan base. My main concern would be an ignorance towards the fans views BUT most forums have predominantly been supportive with the main dissenters being - as Caley 100 would shout - Fannies. And finally if there were major shareholders it may be different and let’s hope that the sale of houses continues.
  20. 23rd March 2003 - Come hear the noise of Sneckie Boys - As once more we took the mighty Celtic on - When Hart flew down the wing - A Wyness goal was a sure thing - and the Caley went ballistic once again Now on June 3 could the names of Hart and Wyness be replaced - and give the Fields of Athenry an update
  21. And the moral of the tale is Trust Your Local Seer
  22. What the feck is going on ? The negativity on this forum is unbelievable. I suppose the Dodds Out movement are worried about success !! We are going to Hampden yet again with the potential to reach a second Scottish Cup Final which to me is dreamland. Is this any different to Dundee, Dunfermline, Hearts or Celtic?? As long as the team don’t get carried away with the favourites tag then our form will win through. I suppose to many this is a no lose situation - win and we should have beaten Falkirk - lose and we can blame Dodds. Some were talking about relegation and extinction a few weeks ago. I bet if we do win there will be significantly more going to the final. Well I will be there and I am confident of a result and yet another trip to a final. I am confident that we will be in the playoffs. Those two games are all that I am interested in and both are very important for the future of this club. I am signing off again for a while as I am getting close to another banning
  23. Was anyone concerned about the wording and phrasology of Dodds in the Dundee post-match interview. It may well be reverse psychology but there is a sniff of building up excuses. This is a time for positivity and encouragement. If the same words were uttered if we have to toil through the play offs then I could accept - but we have full weeks off during the next two games which in essence will define our season.
