I was going to drive to Killie but I had a premonition about today and this season. So I am going to the following games - ICT in the cups and the last league game; Everton in the cup; Chorley in the league. I think that ICT may have played a feckin master stroke today. I suggest that we have given up on Europe which could be a financial disaster - I suggest that we are happy with Top Six and two mega cup runs - I think that we played same again today with the thought that we may not have enuff but to appease the majority of the support and then it is back to the usual starting X1at Butchers Back Garden - and wot a place to get to a final - and possibly back again for the final. Have I got it wrong about Tremarco. I certainly think that he is a solid defender. I certainly think that he would die for the jersey. I certainly do not think that he would let us down. BUT I still do not think that he is an asset in going forward. I feel that some teams (Arabs twice) basically did not play anyone against him as they appeared to feel that he would not provide anything going forward. That is one of the main reasons that I want Shinnie back at left back.

Shinnie is a big plus because of his versatility. Unfortunately he is very, very one-footed. The only position where he has looked truly comfortable and effective in is at left wing back and if he was to play there on a regular basis he may well sneak in to the Scotland squad. We have enough cover now in midfield, especially given the arrival of Tansy and the recovery of Vincent.
