Terry Butcher - Scotland hall of fame!
This has probably got as much to do with his "likeability" factor - probably got a lot of Rangers fan votes after the 3-1 and undoubtedly a fair share of Highlander nominees. The fact that his background is so staunchly English makes this a very, very unusual "award" but again that shows his undoubted personality and charisma - and something that we could utilise for years and years.

County win again
If it happens and I hope it does and the penultimate game of the 2012-2013 season is Ross County v ICT may I apply to take part in and organise the Highland March - I would suggest Maryburgh on the Saturday - Conon Bridge on the Sunday - Muir of Ord on the Monday - Beauly on the Tuesday - Kiltarlity on the Wednesday - camping out in TB's garden on the Thursday - a booze cruise from Lochend to Dores on the Friday and in to Sneck on the Saturday,

It could be Scotland's version of Madame Tussauds - as a matter of interest are there any other Englishmen on the list ?

January Transfer Window
Totally agree - just as long as we dont push the recovering players in to action before they are ready - as we have been culpable of doing fer years.

Johnny Hayes - Opportunity Knocks
I really do think that Johnny Hayes has a good outside chance of sneaking in to the Irish squad for Euro 2012, especially as the back up for Aiden McGeady. Such an opportunity should be pushed on young Mr Hayes and influence his performances on the park. Of course Richie Foran could also be the back up for Keane.

Does the league table lie
I find it so important now to be a role model and an inspiration. And I know that may sound strange to some people, but most important is my connection with my fellow posters and the connection that they breed with one another. - Johndo MacKenzie

Could terry b move to hibernian ?
I suspect that he will become the Director of Football in the new regime.

I was merely suggesting that it could buy a feckin posher portakabin - if that is where the priorities lie.

Mckay
Is this just not another product of our chaotic pre season. It would appear to me that Mr McKay was a last minute "panic" buy with the distinct possibility that nobody actually had ever seen him play in the flesh before. Can only see him going further down the peckin order.

Whatever happened to Muirfield Mills ?? I blame the International break or is caleyboy related to Prince Charles ?? The structure may be unsightly on the outside but it is bright, picturesque, welcoming and full of inner beauty.

I will provide my answer via a question : If you were an ICT fan at the Killie game who were the players in the opposition who you felt played well or stood out ?

Could terry b move to hibernian ?
will terry be bought out his contract at caley to go to hibs ??? It is undoubtedly the worried naievity of a poster addressing the forum fer the first time and I hope that Bigfannie has now amassed an overwhelming feeling of assurity. As fer the Dalneigh Caley - the retort is a good one from my perspective - a leading question which could be a wee bait for some but potentially a thought fer the day fer others. Many have chipped in with a variety of reasons whcih many of the rose tinted, reactively blinded loyal will perceive as being negative rather than the harsh reality. IMHO Butcher simply does not meet the usual Hibee model fer their managers - no link to the club in many ways, a bit too much of an individual who would not bow down to the Dirsctors and the Board and too much of an ex Hun fer the Easter Road faithful to stomach. And lets face it he has the personality, the charisma and the media attractiveness but he really has done feck all in regard to management that would attract a potentially "big club" like Hibs. He has possibly found his niche at Inversneck and may well accept that he may not be able to succeed at a higher level. And that is all good news fer us - what we need is a "personality" in charge and one where the first aim is to keep us in the SPL, the second is to get us in the Top Six and then potentially Cup Final and/or a game in Europe. All of that really is within the "gifts" of Butcher. So what if he isnt good enuff fer Hibs or such like - he is happy as larry here and if he keeps along the boundaried narcissistic line that he has followed in the last few weeks - we will probably survive and prosper - to the places that we are realistically aiming fer.

Does the league table lie
Thought that Donjo and DonDOH were both accurate : We have been playing really good but the bottom line is we are bottom for a reason. Missing too many players, missing too many chances, being unlucky and being very suspect at the back. But as ever the seer probably (hopefully) got it rite: A performance at Killie, irrespective of the score, would prove that Well was not just yet another brief and reactive improvement and then I feel that we could take real advantage of Mr Lennon's woes. Wouldnt it be really nice to kick start our season, move up a wee distance from the bottom and get the ginger nyaff the sack on the same weekend.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Not exactly shure how I was being negative Just said it as I saw it and clarified that many others disagreed. It was by far the best display of the season evidently, the camaraderie was there to be seen and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. but there is room fer further improvement. Our defence was "sloppy" and we could have prevented the first two if not all three. It simply has to be commented on, worked on and improved. As Lewis Grizzard once announced to me: " The public, more often than not, will forgive mistakes, but it will not forgive trying to wriggle and weasel out of one.[/b}

I am afraid that Hogg is actually the only real choice at the moment - Proctor and Golobart are always going to make a mistake - may be interseting to see what Meekins is like as a centre half but not worth the risk as yet.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Agreed, but in the cold light of day, do we have to acknowledge that the goalfest was as much due to Killie's tactical ineptidude as to our own good performance? Up until the 59th minute they were very much in the game - it was 1-2, and they could easily have just been awarded a penalty for Rossco's handball. Then their manager decided to throw caution to the wind, taking off a defender and midfielder and putting on 2 more attack minded players. That left them horribly exposed at the back, they were all over the place defensively, and we ruthlessly took advantage of that. 3 goals in the 7 minutes following the change. Sounds a bit like I'm raining on our bonfire and p1ssing on our fireworks, but I'm not. We were superb on the counterattack, but I'm just suggesting that Killie's tactical change made it all possible, and other managers won't take our attacking threat so lightly in the coming weeks. I suppose that the bottom line is that you do wear rose tinted glasses after watching your team score six goals away from home after the season that we have had. I tried to be a bit more honest with the Smileymometer and most there disagreed with me but I thought we really struggled, especially defensively, fer the first 15-20 minutes. I did however feel that we can to take control after the half hour mark and didnt lose that control thereafter. Killie did sit off us and gave us far too much room but from what I gather our main problem has been taking chances and feck me did we do that at Rugby Park. But to me Butcher has changed the personnel and the system and apart from central defence I hope that he sticks with it - even if we do suffer a setback. What we now have to acheive is consistency. The other main thing to me was that the togetherness factor had well and truly returned,
