  1. As the JailEnder would have said - We are SPL and youre no.
  2. Exfeckinactly - if he was a striker he would have been introduced by now - we need a feckin centre forward.
  3. My concern and criticism was/is that Butcher may have had his reasons for jettisoning Munro but he should have had a plan to replace him. Russell was past the sell by date and the injury to Cox was probably a major blow to the new plan. Dragging in youngsters from Englandshire reserves smack of panic and look at the list of calamaties that has brought about.
  4. Spot on post by Mary Hill. My concern is that Butcher is beginning to gnaw at some of the squad but he is strong enuff to survive. Given the injuries he would have been given the season anyway. I always hoped that this would be a development season but that has fallen apart - but not only becos of the injuries but also due to a very complacent and amateurish pre season planning where we got totally caught out by the early start and then Terry tending to play peeple out of position and not give some their opportunity as to whether they can hack it or not. My biggest concern is that Terry has been dragged in to the Boardroom Politics - despite his favourable contract I hope that he is wise enuff to sit on the fence.
  5. Is TB's persistence in sticking to his apparent chosen ones and equal adherence to a failing system not really beginning to irritate everyone ? It certainly is beginning to cheese me off and you dont have to be a seer to see the ICT future and I am really fed up practically typing the same thing week in and feckin week out. I really am not over confident of putting one over the Pars and my hope and dread combine that we sneak another 2-1 or 1-0 win. Three points isnt a must yet - even a point would do. Butcher will probably persevere with the chosen ones but a defeat would force him to come to his senses. And before his Loyal Army get on their high horse of course he is working with a squad hit by injuries to key players but he is not setting out the players that he has effectively. Surely he must see that Proc is simply not a central defender - thst Foran should be captaining from the middle of the park and Tade should be partnering Sutherland who really should have been thrown in to the mix this season. Davis is only here till Xmas so why are we playing him consistently - is he making that much of a difference. My other big concern is that Rosscoe may be palying too many games at a pressure level and may not last the pace. They say that the strength of a team is around the spine - we have two central defenders who are not naturals - we chop and change the playmaker and are currently depending on a youngster who is only here to Xmas and two forwards who arent natural strikers. 10 goals in 11 games says it all. And despite what some say I am informed that most fans feel that there is no "togetherness" and confidence is sapping.
  6. There was a day when we would have celebrated this
  7. Greeny. And then there was Lionel Djebi Zadi who could have been the best of all midfielders or strikers but was too good a left back to move. And what about the effervescent Eric Obdhiambo ? Oh the mammories of the greats are flooding back - sorry have to stop as I feel the early warning relapse signs of PTSD surfacing.
  8. I have green dotted you as I feel that it is unfair to cruelly criticise your evident naievity.
  9. I think that the bottom line is that neither are natural strikers - both have their strengths, particularly Foran and/but both are not playing in their natural or chosen position. I feel that Foran should be either central or left midfield. As for Tade I am less sure - he is a worker so he could be used as an extra central midfielder but I feel that his natural urge is to attack and not to defend so "in the hole" or a supporting role is his best if not only niches. I would love to know where Tade would personally prefer to play. The other issue is that we would not be hving this debate if we had signed a traditional centre forward during the cahotic pre season where we set up the feck up that is now happening.
  10. This is the part I cant quite understand. Every shareholder has one vote regardless of number of shares held. This consortium will put up a quarter of a million, will be given shares to the value and will have one vote. Does the single vote of DS really make a great deal of difference. If the consortium want changes they need the votes of all the other shareholders as well. Or is it a case that they are puting up cash but not taking a shareholding and instead are relieving DS of his vote? May I suggest that you look at how the present voting and how the potential percentages (or should we call them factions) work out.
  11. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE - Savage or Sutherland
  12. Far more difficult to categorise due to the use of wide players and the "in the hole" players who could be sid to be striking midfielders or wide players - in my head they are inside forwards or wingers. I would therfore put Bingham and Juanjo into the mix. And it brings back memories of Rankin, Black, Cowie and Wilson in midfield being covered by Duncan - now was there ever a better midfield unit than that.
  13. I would concur heartedly with the first four and the rationales attached but I would put Brewster in at number five. He may ahve been reaching the end of his career but he was still a first class centre forawrd when he played for us and set up as many goals as he scored. His movement and "thinking" was way above the top four who were more like natural goalscorers. Foran ia good but not near to Brewsters class. Bingham was possibly the most talented player that I have seen at ICT - again even though he was at the end of his career but he wasnt really a striker - you could have said the same thing about Juanjo. It does put today's strikeforce when you start making comparisons.
  14. Missed that one Richard - spot on - think about it ?
  15. "It's believed the consortium, who want to invest around ?250,000 in the club, have reached a deal in principle, with majority shareholder David Sutherland. The investment would see them acquire the voting rights on his 30 per cent shareholding should their offer be rubberstamped." 250K for his voting rights - that sounds like a good deal doesnt it The consortium had a number of conditions and requests ahead of any investment and it is understood that only a couple of talking points remain outstanding. Is anyone trying to tell me that giving TB a renewed contract was not one of those conditions. A good decison IMHO but one that was stumbling on and on and closely related to football politics and the ongoing background battle to control ICT. I fer one would prefer Terry and Mo to Robbo and Parky. Note that some of the moderators appears twitchy when the Sutherland/Tullochs v Savage/Orion scenario is brought up. It is not in the past, it is in the here and now and could determine the future of the club. Sutherland has the reputation and the history behind him and should rightly be viewed as a saviour and a major reason for our drive to the SPL but times change and perhaps a "leader" with more contacts within football, more cash to splash, some big backers waiting in the wings, albeit possibly a score to settle influence - I would sincerely thank and laud the former but welcome the latter. Are the Muirfield Mills going to build a Hadrians Wall around the dump or are they a Trojan Horse ? This thread will hit ten pages in the near future.
  16. He'll be back - maybe sooner rather than later.
  17. With the feckin head engaged it now all depends on when I become a feckin grandfather !!
  18. Butcher gets a new contract and this takes off is no coincidence. The bait is ?250 K bid by a wee consortium who are asking for some basic assurances - but the "bite" will lead to a struggle to land the intended target.
  19. Fer fecks sake - if the wife allows - you are frightening me. Keep an eye on here and join the Central Station away day crew.
  20. The best OP wind up in feckin years :rotflmao: :rotflmao: But are we talking about Adam or Wayne - personally I feel that fairer comparison could be made with feckin Mickey - Rooney not Mouse.
  21. I fer one am chuffed and delighted that the narcissist has been awarded for his efforts at ICT.I only hope that it does not affect his psychological development I now look forward to some private work in retirement. I am also delighted on two counts. TB has settled in the Highlands and despeartely wanted to put down roots here. This decision should take a great deal of pressure of him and hopefully HE will settle now - lets face it - he has been a grumpy old ******* recently and perhaps his focus was diverted. And now we should see the Savage / Sutherland battle take off.
  22. Good try - but have to say that you really bit the bait this time :rotflmao: Nibbled on the baited hook ? Don't agree about the luck. There was no luck involved, we thrashed them end of story, in fact St Mirren fans believe they were lucky not to be on a hiding. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Reel the ******* in Apology accepted. It never happened because of luck, bad luck. You have to be in it to win it and we gave them a decent going over. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: RESULT
  23. What about the spoons ?
  24. Best catch in ages - including two moderators as well. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: But there was some rhyme and reason.
  25. Agree - best squad player we have.
