  1. I would say that all of our ICT chairmen have brought something different to the club as well as usually ploughing some much needed funds in to it as well. But I have to say that my personal perspective - and many others is - that the Tulloch influence at times has taken the final say and made it very difficult fer Savage - I would even dub the period a power struggle. Savage walked becos he could not influence the club in the manner that he sought struggle - Mackie and my Uncle George were a mere extension of the Sutherland / Tulloch dynasty. I was slightly surprised at the Savage appointment and it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table. Have the shareholding percentages swung ? If they havent yet then they probably will. But will we better off with Orion ? Interesting times ahead.
  2. There will always be a degree of difference as people have their favourites and as is seen in this thread some go for the goalscorer or the goalie with a shut out or the person working hardest. Personally I suspect that a lot of people may judge players on where they play or play soccer themselves. I always cast an eye on defenders or creative midfielders - I rarely go for forwards unless their scoring achievements are matched by effort and a degree of skill. I always look at the final results of the POY - the MOM may always be the best player in my eyes but I often feel that the top 2 or 3 usually come up tops overall.
  3. I am afraid that I have to complain as well - why not play this game at Victory Park in Chorley.
  4. Feck me I'll give you that one.
  5. Well - the three - Tade, Shinnie and Golbart were streaks ahead - according the POY at the time of posting - and the goals may have swung it. Tade has 93 points, followed by Shinnie on 83 and Golbart on 72. The only other to hit double figures was Morrison whilst their were points awarded to Ross, Foran, Piermayr, Doran and Tokely - it would appear that Rosscoe's Dad was at the game as he got a MOM award too.
  6. Doesnt it sum everything up when we are looking at everybody else's scores ?!!
  7. Where the feck is Blobby Mann when ya need him - he could play wide on both flanks - at the same time.
  8. When the feck did we ever have a classy Romanian ?? Savage is more of a businessman than my Uncle George - maybe he can find the stashed away money put aside to pay Marius which we never needed. On a more serious note - how can anybody expect us to run a profit making business in the SPL - when we have all the costs involved in travel, minimal attendances and wages that have to attract to a degree. Without a fair degree of sponsorship we will always be lookin to go in to the red. Again it is a clear argument to put that wee bit more cash in to our Academy system and do a mini Man Utd. It does feel to me that we are getting the family feel back to the club and I have nowt but admiration to those fans - and there are a number of them - who do bits and pieces for no cash remuneration.
  9. Yes but even if they did have Greene King IPA then they would also have Abbots Ale, Old Speckled Hen and Bellhaven Best.
  10. I wasnt specifically calling for Greig to start as soon as possible but to be a regular on the bench - and most of the others mentioned could be given starts - lets face it Shinnie is playing becos Gillet is crocked - Morrison is playing becos of injuries - Ross has been in and out of the starting X1 and Sutherland hasnt been given a chance. I really do feel that we had some panic buys / loans this season and the Aldred debacle sums it up for me. The Golbart deal I can understand as we were desperate for a central defender. Perhaps fate has played a part in dealing these youngsters the opportunity to prove themselves - it will be very interesting to see what happens when we get a full squad gathered - if we ever feckin do !!
  11. Was Rosscoe at rite back ?
  12. Who loves the Boaby ?
  13. We need some medical advice from mel Gibson as he sorted out his dislocated shoulder in the Deadly Weapon films in ten feckin seconds - soft Irish cnuts.

I wonder if he is related to the Brandy that I met in Hong Kong ??
  15. Lets feckin face it - dont care if punters come on here and say that we didnt play well - ANY ICT supporter from any outpost in the world would have taken three points at the start of play today. May we thank the Lord for his divine intervention
  16. Shinnie for Sneck simultaneously with Arteta fer Everton - get feckin in there !!
  17. fair enough! Rite enuff - you have been in Embra fer too long.

Had a bad leg break and appears to have gone down the English leagues since - but can beggars be choosers ?
  19. Further proof of the efficacy of reverse psychology
  20. Not much choice today but Sutherland in and Tade on the bench would have suited me. Would prefer Morrison in the hole and Rosscoe on his rite foot Captain. For what we are about to receive may the Lord make us truly grateful - AMEN
  21. I would have thought alcohol was a feckin priority prior to wathing ICT play at hoem at the moment
  22. I would suspect that selling alcohol may attract more trade.
  23. There was a great debate on Talk Sport yesterday about the demise of Scottish football and Andy Gray came up with the great point that there is some high standard Academy football coaching but the youngsters find that their paths to the first team can be blocked by average foreigners, journeymen, loan signings and experienced but jaded old pros. From an ICT perspective - especially this season - why havent we looked at spending most of our dough on an acknowledged centre forward - and saved money by regularly playing - or on the bench - the likes of Greig, Morrison,Shinnie, Ross and Sutherland. These boys should be the nucleus of our team - they are born and bred to have the desire to play for ICT - I feel that we have not had that feel of "togetherness" since the First Division wonder run. That may be what we miss through the loss of McBain, Golly, Duncan, Munro etc. - camaraderie, togethrness and an inner desire to wear and die fer the shirt. No disrespect to some of the players currently ensconsed in our starting X1 but how many are here to get experience and put themselves in the shop window with a view of going to a higher level. I would rather play one of the youngsters than a six month loanee or any of the categories raised by Andy Gray. And as Alex said - bring back the Under 21 league and boundary the number of non scots that can play in it.
  24. The youngsters who will be playing are considered good enough to be in squad of an SPL side. If that option was not open to them there would be a queue of Highland League clubs waiting to sign them up. First team players or not, I would expect that whatever side is fielded should beat Forres. No pressure, lads!
  25. Pre season training IS NOT about feckin contact sport - and if that is what we were doing - we are even moe amateurish than I thought - It is all about fitness, a feckin slog, getting the beer and sand out of yer system - and non contact one touch or two touch football - and even pre season friendlies have a feckin pre agreement about contact - as ours clearly did - that is why the trips are brill but the games are boring. The injuries have mainly been picked up after the pre season - and as fer McKay - lets face it - he either wasnt feckin fit to begin with or he didnt warm up properly - again amateurish.
