Total Respects to Darren Dods - but Goodbye.
IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in Caley Thistle
If Caff is being earmarked as the replacement fer Dods ya just have to play him now to establish what kind of partnership he forms with Munro at an SPL level. Otherwise it would be guesswork fer next season. Dods is a professional - he should understand/accept such a rationale. We seem to be saying reward Dods fer his services to the club but what about Caff's loyalty? -
I have to admit that I avoid the use of the word "Homo" in front of my children and prefer to refer to "feckin coksucking pooftahs". I consulted with the lady in question who agreed with me and thanked me for my support and understanding.

Cos he is completely left footed. At that stage of the game we needed width and playing down the wing - Killie had flooded the middle and were quite happy to allow Zander to come inside on his left foot. He did well but did ya notice that his final passes were mainly square balls or back to midfielders or defenders. Pat O'Linnen was doing that on the left to some success but Zander is a carbon copy. Playing Hart on the roght would have given us the width and penetration - perhaps!! :001:

Absolutely correct - the feckin laff is that Blackie copped a booking that was Rosscoe's. Tokely would have walked - and then put in another cracker before Black was hooked. :017: :017: :017:

:017: :017: Does anyone else agree about Hairy's comments on McSwegan? - a decent shift - feck me!! We "attacked" Killie in the first half? :017: :017: :017: Marcus didnt change his pattern? :017: :017: :017: 2 evenly matched teams? :017: :017: :017: Was there anybody there with any non tinted tactical nouse?

Thank feck the chances of playing those peg selling, caravan dwelling, ***** tinks is getting unliklier and unliklier. :001: -
These are not critical but fer open discussion fer voyeurs of yesterdays game - remembering it was do or die!! First half: Dods marking Naismith - Caff on Nish - would it have been more effective the other way round? Were Wilson and Pat O'Linnen playing a tad too much forward and leaving Rosscoe and Fagan exposed.? Where were Duncan and Black playing - looked like me that Duncan was deep - Black in front - Duncan sweeping-Black central. Bayne and McSwegan were both up front - Both were target men. We lost Bayne's movement but did McSwegan actually move? SECOND HALF: Why wasnt McSwegan hooked? When Rory came on - Bayne became the target man and Rory the runner - did yas notice the difference? Pat O'Linnen played deeper and to more effect. Straight from the off Duncan and Black held the same line. Evidently discussed at half time. SUBSTITUTIONS: Shurely Rory fer McSwegan should have been the first: Wilson was fecked - the natural sub would have been Hart out on the right; If Black went should his replacement not have been Rankin - a playmaker. So ya bring on Hart and play him on the left and bring on Zander and play him on the right!! As I said - up fer open discussion - and I challenge anyone to give me a sensible, serious rationale to the contrary.

Oh - and the same goes fer McSwegan - fer different reasons. :015: :015: :015: :015: -
Darren Dods was my player of the year last season and would always be one of the first players I would want in my starting X1. He has become a bit of an icon/legend in his time at ICT. But may I now suggest that we banish the revered Machine to the reserves fer the rest of the Season and out of the first team squad. WHY? He has pledged his future to the Arabs - ICT have to look ahead and have the opportunity of trying out other defenders and formations - in the SPL but not under pressure. Why should we keep him match fit and match sharp. He chose to go did he not. Will be another challenge to the constitution of CC. So who agrees with me: TOTAL RESPECT TO THE MACHINE :011: :011: - THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES BUT GOODBYE.

CC clearly has a thing fer Black. In the Cellic game Bazza was clearly fecked and should have been hooked before Black. Even if Black walked Caff would have been the tactically sounder sub - not feckin McSwegan. We had to win yesterday - so that is not a time to mollycoddle yer best player.
-
Absolutely spot feckin on Scotsman. Will sort out the tactics in another thread but to add to Hairys thread: Fraser :015: :015: Looked really nervous and unsure. Really does stick to his line and his six yard box and looks really suspect on crosses. Agree with the defence. Hastings was superb - Tokely was left exposed by an unfit Bazza. Dodsy had the worst game I have ever seen him play. Duncan was outstanding - MOM. Black was wrongly yellow carded and wrongly substituted. Marcus has potential but was a :015: :015: :015: - defensively he is lacking ++. Bazza wasnt fit. McSwegan was feckin gash. He is lazy and has no pace. He should have been hooked at half time. Zander was played on the right :017: :017: Rory came on as Killie were committed to all out defence.

More Charlie Christie Protection Society antics on here Richard. This game was non controlled by a pathetic Freeland. He let both sets of players off with a spate of late challenges. I will discuss the tactical mistakes later but will concentrate on young Mr Black first. He was persisitently being wound up with late challenges but did not retaliate. He was our ONLY player yesterday who looked like he could get us three points. Tokely should have been given a RED when the **** Freeland decided to book Black. In fact Tokely, Dods, Hastings, and especially Duncan, were dishing out the fouls and giving Freeland dogs abuse. So why werent they taken off? As fer the Killie fans winding Black up - it looked the opposite to me - he was cradling his hands swinging along to them - with a wide smirk - he was feckin loving it. Killie fans knew he was our best player fer fecks sake. And the "Only One Ian Black" response was the loudest of the day from our support who practically all stoood up to sing it. CC then goes on to defend Black in the press - so what does he do - takes off the one player who could have really turned the game. It was last gasp saloon fer us - we had to go fer a win - so take Black off in those circumstances - GIVE ME A FECKIN BREAK. It could have been the making of Black or yet another sore lesson. Do we just keep hooking him every time he gets feckin booked. And did he look pished off or what?

Comfort eating and psychological coping mechanisms are major precipitators whilst research is suggesting that a lot of E-additives do have addictive properties. Read more about it in "Eating Problems" by Professor IHE and his lab assistant Maimie. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: -
Maybe a loan spell in the 2nd Division next season would help - maybe Ross County. :001:

It could revolve around whether you are treating a behavioural addiction or an underlying Eating Disorder. The former can only be "treated" by setting boundaries and is led by dietary constraints. You often find that it is the carers who need the most support and education. They have to be very strict in their care and are emotionally blackmailed by their loved one. It is often found that the carers are the needy ones and they actually revel in the role of caring as it gives them life satisfaction. They often project the blame onto anything but themselvesTo succeed both parties have to be either motivated and committed or set strict limits or committed. :001: Treating an underlying eating disorder is a totally different scenario and much more difficult to treat. Eating disorders are often related to psychological traumas in childhood and adolescence and are often a form of self punishment or a self inflicted form of abuse. This requires skilled psychological therapies comprising of exploratory psychotherapies and/or a cognitive approach. The aim is to mend the broken id/ego and increase the elements of self esteem. It is interesting that anorexics will draw themselves as being fat and bulimiacs will draw themselves as skinny. That is treated by correcting self perception and can take years. What really pisses me off that interventions have to wait until the "sufferers" are way out of control. GP's and authorities should do something at an earlier stage. There is actually a minimum BMI when the Mental Health Act can be initiated. Not always the best thing but can work. But there isnt a maximum BMI to act on - which seems crazy. Mind you I must be pretty feckin close. :015: :015:
