This is feckin hot of the press but I will share it wiv yas. There has been an urgent Board meeting in regard to the Striker crisis. The outcome is that we are happy with the options of Rory, Bayne, McSwegan and potentially Pat O'Linnen in the short term. Buchanan was always in the shop window fer the summer. Cowdenbeath will be approached with a renewed offer which they may dismiss BUT we are going to feckin Elgin fer the boy Johnston and expect to sign him by the end of the window.

IMHO that is exactly what fecked us today in unison with some tactical naievity from CC. Before I go any further I would wish to emphasise that there were lots of positives in todays performance BUT we threw away a point if not three by small minded defensive tactics. As I mentioned on the actual game thread I really thought that Cellic were there for the taking but I feel we threw it away by: a) Duncan was having an impressive day - effectively stifling forward movement, some clever interceptions, playing the simple pass and covering supreme. Royster was in "invisible" mode. So taking on Black was offense minded but why take off Duncan and not Roy?? b) I could not believe that throw in to us with three minutes to go and Munro and Dods stood their ground. Shurely attacking is the best form of defence!! c) and then we played deep - on our feckin 18 yard box when we had held a high line all day and allowed them acres of room in midfield and d) after looking to pass and play to feet we resorted to the feckin hoof it as far as ya can mode and finally Nakamura - who Duncan had shackled all day is allowed to go to the left unnoticed :006: :006: Constructive criticism fer a Manager who is improving game to game but still annoys me with his small club philosphy.

God - did we not deserve that. We played some great stuff in the second half and they just simply were not at the races. Bazza and Rankin tore them apart out wide and Rory played a feckin belter. Only criticism is the decision to shut up shot in the last five minutes and yet another horrendous defensive mix up fer the Cellic goal. Watching the game on Setanta. Dour game, poor Cellic side who are there fer the taking. Wyness has deffo done his shoulder :007: Kept Cellic at bay before conceding a terrible goal. Stephen Pressley goes doen the touchline and nobody puts in a real challenge and he crosses. Hastings at the front post should have put the header in to the Firth but sclaffs it and Royster, under pressure, miskicks it and it hits the cross bar and falls two yards out to Riordan on his own. Since that we have looked really dangerous. Two penalty claims but after watching the replays really werent. Bayne could have scored and then Bazza just misses a head on flick and Boruc saves from Riordan. Fraser has looked confident, no chance with the goal, but really hasnt had a shot to save. Rory is really putting himself about up front but we have no pace. Defence as solid as ever and we are trying to use the width with Bazza and Rankin. But Lennon and Gravesen are totally dominating the middle of the park and Bazza is leaving Rosscoe isolated a lot dealing with Naylor and Riordan. This one aint over but where are we going to score from?? And that is not only today. :006:
