  1. I hope his surname isnt Upya. :017:
  2. I totally agree :008: :008: :008: Christie backs Black for the future Charlie Christie is disappointed that Inverness starlet Ian Black has been omitted from the Scotland Under-21 squad to face Slovenia. The 21-year-old had been part of the Scotland Future team, which defeated Turkey at the Caledonian Stadium in March. But, despite being overlooked for the European Under-21 Championship qualifier in a fortnight, the Caley boss has backed Black to feature at international level in the future. Christie said: "I thought the biggest opportunity for one of our players getting involved with Scotland would be Ian Black being a part of the under-21 squad. "I was slightly surprised that was not the case, but I am sure his time will come." 4 August 2006 BLACK SEES RED AT HIS SCOTS SNUB By Euan Mcarthur IAN BLACK last night blasted the decision to snub him for the latest Scotland Under-21 squad. And the Inverness midfielder claimed he would have been picked had been at either half of the Old Firm. Back in March, he was part of the Scotland Futures side that lost to Turkey in a friendly at the Caledonian Stadium and was thought to be knocking on Walter Smith's door for full national honours. At 21, he is also still eligible for the Under-21s but there was no place for the former Blackburn starlet in either squad named this week. Black, who is wanted by Dundee United, was hoping his Futures squad call-up would have helped him secure aplace with the Under-21s. He said: "To not even have been in the equation makes me honestly think the reason is because I'm playing for Inverness. "It's maybe not a big enough club in some eyes and it's maybe a bit far away for people to come up and watch us regularly. "If I was playing at Celtic, Rangers, Hearts or Hibs then I think it would be a different story. "The same thing happened with our keeper Mark Brown last season. Mark is one of the best keepers in the SPL and has hardly missed a game since coming here. "But David Marshall was in one of the squads when he wasn't even playing for Celtic so it makes you wonder. "It feels like a kick in the teeth not to have been included. I'm very disappointed. To have been part of the Futures Squad and to then not be in the Under-21 squad is a slap in the face. "With no disrespect to the other young lads who are in the squad, I'm still only 21 and still available. "I played 24 games last year for Inverness so I'm playing regular first-team football."
  3. It had been rumoured that Drunken Disorderly had bought a big country house in the Badenoch area.
  4. The sign of Proctor being released came up in ma cup of tea yesterday but then I noticed it was only a spider.
  5. Here is an exclusive picture of his departure.
  6. A feckin mix of Aussie and Scouse!! A feckin hopping burglar with a pouch full of stolen goods. The initiation ceremaony revolve around buying anybody in a kilt a double feckin voddie and coke. But why Orkney? :017: :017: Are you in a sect?
  7. What is the contact number of the Dungannon Caledonian Supporters Club?

  9. Ah the green eyed gods are dishing out the tasseography jealousy again. :015: :015: :015: His family situation, at the onset was clear a few only but it was always hoped that he would settle in the North. My "skill" merely revealed to all the fact that he was keen on signing a new contract but that it was a fairly substantial one and many moons back I informed the forum that: Reply #67 on: May 28, 2006, 07:12:17 PM DODS Similiarly indebted if not more so. Must have doubts about moving on into a different club and system. Wants/needs the security of a longer term contract to take him closer to his retirement fund.
  10. Yip Pinxten has gone back to Sproutland. As fer the Dods contract here is more tasseography magic. :001: « Reply #59 on: May 20, 2006, 10:49:33 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dont ferget ya read it here first from the Chorley Seer They immediately stated that Dods was not going anywhere. Dods is negotiating a new contract and from what I hear he will stay if it is a four year one plus a coaching position at the end.
  11. I am reliably informed that Mulgrew is considering our offer.
  12. I have just had my elevenses and two names have eminated from the leaves. Calum Elliot on loan from the Jam Tarts. The other one is worrying. The pattern of the leaves suggests a stodgy, elongated french fry. Mark De Vries. :010: :010:
  13. This type of psychic thinking and logic is evidently wasted in the Rumour Mill. Just feckin think about it!! "More excellent psychological warfare from Brewster. He states in the press that he is interested in taking on Lee Wilkie. This will wind up Dods even more and increase his desire to be an Arab. This will increase his resolve to leave Sneck as well and his agent is bound to exert more pressure on ICT..and Brewster will think that it could lead to a decreased fee. The agents statement is clearly aimed at winding up the supporters as well and increasing the pressure on the ICT management." Bye Bye Dodsy.
  14. Sorry. I cleaned out the tea leaves. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :004: By the way. Idid'nt know this - did youse? McAllister to return for Caley Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Rory McAllister will return to the squad for the SPL trip to Aberdeen. The 19-year-old was suspended for the opening-day defeat by St Mirren after being dismissed in an Under-19 game last season. Caley head coach Charlie Christie said: "We were a bit baffled to find that Rory could not face St Mirren. "He was sent off in an Under-19s game at the end of last season. "During the summer, he turned 19 and, as he was not eligible for the Under-19s, the SFA said he had to serve his ban in the first team. "It is unfortunate, but at least he is available this weekend." Do you want the HSBN number fer the book??
  15. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: I have so missed these sort of posts.

  17. Yet another prediction comes true. :003: Reply #67 on: May 28, 2006, 07:12:17 PM DODS Similiarly indebted if not more so. Must have doubts about moving on into a different club and system. Wants/needs the security of a longer term contract to take him closer to his retirement fund. « Reply #213 on: July 26, 2006, 10:40:13 PM I am reliably informed that Dods is the most irate about the whole thing whilst Dargo and Black are being more professional about it. I would NOT be surprised if Dods is not in the starting X1 on Saturday. The Machine has been ma fave player fer the last 18 months but a player who makes such a statement does not have the club at heart. Let him tarry in the reserves. The P&J Article: DEFENDER DODS SIGNALS HIS CALEY JAGS EXIT ANDREW DICKSON 08:50 - 02 August 2006 Darren Dods has decided not to sign a new contract with Caley Thistle and is poised to leave the club when his current deal expires next summer. The Highlanders must decide whether to cash in on him before the transfer window closes on August 31, or during the January transfer window, or lose the 31-year-old for nothing at the end of the season. Dods is one of a handful of Inverness players interesting Dundee United and one of three - the others are Ian Black and David Proctor - who the Arabs made a fresh approach for last week. The former Hibernian defender is thought to be keen on a move to Tannadice but his agent, Derek Rutherford, refused to confirm his interest. However, he did confirm the player will be moving on in the next 12 months after joining Caley Jags from St Johnstone in July 2004. He said: "Darren signed a one-year extension with Inverness last summer and has decided to play out the deal. He has a gentleman's agreement with Caley Thistle that if another team shows an interest in him, and not necessarily just Dundee United, he will be kept informed. "We know of the speculation linking him with a move to United but we cannot comment. Our hands are tied. All I can say is that by next summer, Darren will have been in Inverness for three years which is a good amount of time to serve one club." While Dods edges towards the exit at Caledonian Stadium, Inverness manager Charlie Christie remains confident Black will sign new terms with his side. The former Blackburn midfielder spoke of his desire to finalise a revised three-year deal with Caley Jags 10 days ago and insisted a conclusion was close. But despite planning to have him secured by the time the Highland team played St Mirren last weekend, Christie has been unable to conclude negotiations. He believes he is still favourite to obtain the Scotland B player's services. Christie said: "There is nothing sinister in the fact Ian has not signed. I spoke to him this morning and we are going to try to push things on. I stressed the fact we need to get things done quite quickly and Ian said it wasn't a problem, so we are in the process of getting the contract drawn up. "He has just left things in the hands of his financial adviser because he is looking to buy a house here and he wants to know what size of mortgage he can afford. That is all that has held things up. I realise the longer things go on without him signing, the more people will start speculating about him moving on. But Ian has given me no indication he wants to leave."
  18. That is exactly what I have been informed as well. Could be all change at both clubs by Saturday.
  19. Seems like a nice enuff chap. Referee Profile Calum Murray Date of Birth: 7 July 1967 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 11st 3 lbs Profession: Systems Developer First ever match: Royal High School v. St. Augustine's High School U13, Edinburgh First international match: Willem II v FC Malaga , Intertoto Cup Semi Final as 4th official in August 2002 Career highlights Assistant Referee at the OVD Junior Cup Final in 2000 , Promotion to Category 1 in the same year , Referee Scottish Youth Cup Final in 2003 and elevation to the FIFA List of Referees for 2005 What does being a football referee mean to you? Being involved in football at every level in the game gives you immense satisfaction and , for the most part , is very rewarding . It also keeps you fit and keeps you involved in football long beyond your playing days ! Why did you become a referee? As a sixth year pupil at my old school I was asked to help out refereeing some of the younger age groups and found I enjoyed it and continued to help out after leaving school . It was a few years later that I decided to go through the Course held in Edinburgh officially and soon after became hooked . Would you have wished to become a full-time referee? Definitely Any pet hates in football? Injury obviously but also the behaviour at the sidelines in Public Park football at times has a detrimental effect on the recruitment and retention of younger referees . What Law of the Game would you change? None – I think the Law Changes in recent years have made football a better spectacle but think we should consolidate with these changes and keep the status quo for a few years The most difficult Law to apply? Denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity can pose difficult judgements for Referees Your best memory in football? Every Internation trip to date I've been involved in has been great experience. Other sports or hobbies? Enjoy spending limited free time at home or about with wife and 2 wee ones! Your main strength? Man-management - generally enjoy dealing with players and usually quite good at reading situations onthe park. And main weaknesses? Can give impression of being too laid back at times. What's in your car CD player? The Killers, Primal Scream, Bob the Builder Compilation (a must have for long journeys to Inverness) Beer or wine? Wine Favourite film? Forrest Gump Tastiest food? Tuna Pasta Favourite holiday destination? Lake Garda in Italy Luck or judgement? Luck Dress up or dress down? Both - depends on the occasion. Whom would you most like to meet? No-one in particular, although did meet Billy Connolly (and talk football) last year at Heathrow which was a good experience. We actually manhandles Chris Tarrant ou the way so we could speak to him which was even better. I also follow the tasseography of the Immortal Howden Ender. Ambitions? Simply to stay fit and healthy and continue to contribute and enjoy refereeing as long as possible Any advice for young referees? Always be prepared to listen to advice and guidance and to roll with the punches
  20. You can rely on the Tasseographer of the Year. You can read more about the skill in my book. :003:
  21. Said on another thread KK but I would have gone fer that 4-5-1 too. All depends on whether Black is still here and whether Mulgrew has arrived.
