  1. [move]WHAT FECKIN BULLSHIT[/move] TRAINING WITH KIDS WILL BREW YOU GOOD SPL LATEST CRAIG BREWSTER has told his three Dundee United outcasts he is sending them to train with the Tannadice kids for their own good. Jim McIntyre, Paul Ritchie and David Fernandez reported back for pre-season yesterday and were immediately steered away from the first team and told to join in the Under-19s'session. The trio, who were put on the transfer list at the end of last season, have been in severance negotiations with chairman Eddie Thompson for the past three months but are all still some way away from agreeing packages to leave. United boss Brewster said: "Jim, Paul and David will be training with the Under-19s until they find other clubs. "I talked to them about it because this scenario is not ideal for any of us but they are three professionals and I'm sure they will continue to do their best. "I know they are desperate to move on and continue their careers so in order to do that they'll have to be in good shape. "Other managers are looking at the situation so if they kick on and get a good pre-season under their belt they'll get new clubs. "The chairman is out of the country until next week so it's difficult to say when things will be finally resolved. "When he gets back he'll look at the situation because it needs to be dealt with."
  2. FRASER'S LIVI LOAN DEAL HITS SNAG ANDREW DICKSON 08:50 - 28 June 2006 Michael Fraser is likely to remain at Caley Thistle after the SPL ruled out any chance of him being recalled from a loan spell at Livingston in the event of an injury crisis at Inverness. The 22-year-old goalkeeper, a back-up to Mark Brown for four seasons, had been poised to join Livi for the new campaign. His temporary transfer would have been on the condition that he could return north at any point, but top-flight officials have said that cannot happen. That now leaves Caley Jags manager Charlie Christie with a dilemma as he wants his second-choice goalkeeper to gain more experience. Fraser has just three SPL appearances, two of them as a substitute, to his name so far. But with no other senior players in the same position and no plans to recruit anyone else in that department, Christie has no choice but to retain Fraser's services. Christie said: "We wouldn't be able to just recall Michael from Livingston. Things are, sadly, a bit more complicated than that. The move is not completely dead yet, but it looks unlikely. "I spoke to someone at the SPL about the situation and they have a problem with that fact we don't feel our under-19 goalkeeper Jonathan Smith is ready to step up and play every week. "I am a fan of Michael Fraser, as a lot of people at the club are, and he is definitely my number two goalkeeper, but I feel he needs to get a bit more experience. "Going to Livingston would have been ideal for him, but it seems he will stay here and compete with Mark now as the gap between them has definitely lessened in the last 18 months."
  3. Don't like the feckin sound of that :010: :010: Meanwhile, Hibernian face an eight-hour journey to eastern Europe in the InterToto Cup next month after learning they will face Latvians Dinaburg in the second round. Dinaburg were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw at home by HB Torshavn last weekend but they saw off their Faroe Islands opponents 2-1 on aggregate – courtesy of a 48th minute own goal from Vagnur Mohr Mortensen on Saturday. Tony Mowbray's side will now take on the Latvians on Sunday in Edinburgh but face a four-hour flight and four-hour bus journey for the second leg a week later.

  12. AND ABOUT FECKIN TIME TOO 22 June 2006 CHRISTIE'S AT DODS OVER UNITED BIDS By Euan Mcarthur CHARLIE CHRISTIE last night threatened to take action against Dundee United if they make any illegal moves to land Inverness' top stars. The Caley Thistle manager issued the threat amid renewed speculation defender Darren Dods has knocked back a new deal to stay at Caledonian Stadium. United boss Craig Brewster has made no secret of the fact he'd like his former Inverness trio of Dodds, David Proctor and Ian Black to join up with him again at Tannadice. But Christie's patience finally snapped as the Highlanders reported back for pre-season training yesterday. He said: "I'm disappointed with some of the comments coming from Dundee United. "I don't know how true they are but if I find out they're speaking to any of our under - contract players we'll be taking it further." Christie's comments follow a recent outburst by club chairman David Sutherland who accused United of making similar approaches back in April. Meanwhile, Black is set to hold crunch talks with the club tomorrow to discuss his immediate future. The highly-rated former Blackburn trainee was the subject of a failed bid by United earlier this summer. Inverness told United the 21-year-old is not for sale but the player wants to sit down with club officials and agent Gary Mackay after learning of the Tayside outfit's interest in him. Black, who is contracted to Inverness for next term, said: "I'm going to sit down with my agent and speak to the club about things on Friday. I'm happy up here but I'll have to see what the club has to offer. "I thought I did quite well last season for Inverness and I want to progress just as much again this season."

  15. [move]Read between the lines :015: :015: :015:[/move] From the Blades site!! Marrison seeks ICT Loan move Tuesday June 20 2006 12:37 Inverness Caledonian Thistle have approached Sheffield United to loan out striker Colin Marrison's for next season. The 20-year-old made five appearances for Bury last season and the six foot striker is being tipped as a star of the future. Marrison has made two first-team appearances for the Blades, both in last season's Carling Cup, against Shrewsbury Town and Reading. Neil Warnock stated "It looks like a good move but I will have further discussions with Inverness when we travel North next month."
  16. Sally feckin Kellerman. :005: :005: [move]Anyway Read between the feckin lines[/move] Christie hopes to bring in one or two new faces and will know more today about whether or not Livingston winger Wes Hoolahan is set to become his first summer signing. The Irishman is keen to keep on playing in the SPL, but Christie revealed wage demands could price him out of a move to the Highland Capital in a deal that could involve Liam Fox and Michael Fraser going in the other direction. "I will know more tomorrow, but from what Graeme Bennett has told me it seems that the stumbling block is the players' wages, " he said. "I was surprised when I found out how much his salary is at Livingston, so we can only wait and see what happens, although hopefully it will be sorted out soon." 20/06/2006 [move]Read between the moving lines :015: :015: :015:[/move]
  17. Could be GOOD news both on and off the park as Judas splashes out even more of the Butchers' spondoolachs 21 June 2006 - Daily Retard MY ARABS SWITCH TAKES HEAT OFF LEE - DUNDEE UNITED SWOOP Robb ready for flak after ditching Dens for rivals By Euan Mc Arthur STEVEN ROBB last night completed his cross-city move to Dundee United -and believes it will ease the pressure on close pal Lee Mair. Robb followed in the footsteps of ex-Dundee team-mate Mair by signing a two-year deal to join Craig Brewster's new-look United on a free transfer. The 24-year-old, a lifelong United fan, will join forces again with Mair who signed for the Arabs amid a blaze of controversy last year. And he reckons he's done his mate a huge favour swapping Dens for Tannadice as the former Dark Blues pair look to lead United into a bold new era next season. Robb said: "Lee was one of the first to text me to say congratulations. We had a wee laugh that it would take the heat off him a little bit. "Hopefully the fans will understand too. It's now just a case of me proving to them that I can work hard to do the business on the park. "Obviously, it took a lot of thought and I spoke to my family about it all. But in the end the main factor was that Dundee United play in the SPL and it's a career decision. "I've been at Dundee since I was 15 and it wasn't the way I wanted to leave so that's what saddened me most." Brewster finally got his man after narrowly missing out on Robb over a year ago when the then-Inverness gaffer tried to lure him north. Robb opted to stay put but couldn't knock back Brew a second time. He said: "I've known Craig since he played for United. When a manager wants to take you to the second club he's been at it's always a big bonus." Robb was paraded at Tannadice with ex-Dunfermline striker Noel Hunt and winger Craig Conway from Ayr who both signed three-year deals. Now Hunt can't wait to experience Brew's gruelling pre-season regime. He said: "I'm here basically because I want to work with Craig. Everyone knows how big on fitness the coaching team here are."
  18. Dods stays, says Caley director ALASDAIR FRASER June 21 2006 Inverness Caledonian Thistle yesterday rubbished reports of a contract rift with defender Darren Dods and claimed Dundee United had no chance of capturing him. Graeme Bennett, the club's director of football, dismissed claims the centre-half had rejected a new two-year deal. Craig Brewster, the Dundee United manager, is keen to bring his former charge to Tannadice but Bennett said negotiations with Dods, and others, including striker Craig Dargo, will resume in the next few days. "We are confident we can agree a new contract with Darren. I can assure you he will not be joining Dundee United. He has another year to run of his contract." [move]JUST AS PREDICTED :004:[/move]
  19. "We are still waiting for United to come back to us with improved offers." read between the lines. :017:
  20. That proposal was clearly insufficient. Hence a need to sell Black and Proctor, but Ross from Sheffield United on loan for a season should aid the coffers or Rankin if the Tinks play "ball". i do not need to keep up, I am way,way ahead already. :016:
  21. Mmmmm. I wonder. Where are they going to get the money to increase Machines@ contract? Caley Jags director of football Graeme Bennett has dismissed the reports and insists talks with Dundee United target Dods are ongoing. When Craig Brewster joined Dundee United he intimated an interest in Darren, Craig Dargo and Mark Brown, and was told then that we had no interest in selling the players. "We spoke to the players at the end of the season and told them we would make offers once our budget for the new season had been put in place. We have done that and we may be in a position to offer them more. They are important players who we want to keep at the club. "The only players who we have received bids for are Ian Black and David Proctor, and both were rejected. We are still waiting for United to come back to us with improved offers." Ya must all start learning Parliamo Grasser and reading between the lines
  22. Grasser quote - P&J - 20/06/06. "The only players who we have received bids for are Ian Black and David Proctor, and both were rejected. We are still waiting for United to come back to us with improved offers." What does that mean?
  23. 20/05/06. They immediately stated that Dods was not going anywhere. Dods is negotiating a new contract and from what I hear he will stay if it is a four year one plus a coaching position at the end.
  24. Personally, I have fallen off quite a few stages whilst intoxicated.
