CIS Insurance Cup 2nd Round
Some surprising results tonight. Can't afford to treat tomorrow lightly

Team Vs Dumbarton
Fraser, Golly, Caff, Duncan & Bayne are my 5 guesses
-
Team Vs Dumbarton
Much rather see Duncan back in the side than Hart
-
Team Vs Dumbarton
With respect to Dunbarton any team we put out should beat them. Resting a few players for Saturdays game might be an idea

Team Vs Dumbarton
I wonder what sort of team we'll go for on Wednesday?? Will CC make a lot of changes and give fringe players a run out?? Would it make sense to start with Wyness in the hope that a goal might kick start his season or will Rory and Bayne get the nod?

car park madness
I think everyone knows or should know by now that the car park is a shambles but the simple solution is unless you have to don't park your car down there

Ian Black
Sorry to interupt the Statothon but isn't this topic about Ian black?? :016: He is certainly a good player with lots of potential but I sometimes think people look at him through red and blue tinted spectacles. He certainly hasn't played as well as he did in patches last season. He was unlucky to get booked for his tackle on the Japanese guy but once again he went in lunging in on a couple of occasions which the ref luckily missed.

SETANTA WATCH
I'm confused IHE :017: McBain was meant to be playing wide left - he certainly wasn't the holding player in midfield

ICT 1-1 CELTIC (20/08/06)
I agree he can play a lot better and I'm sure he will but he's played OK since arriving without setting the heather on fire. I'm just not sure him and Black work together in the middle - they seem to be very similar players and the balance isn't right. What worried me more today was how much we missed Barry Wilson on the right. Nothing against Keogh, who is probably one of my favourite players but he looked so out of place. Despite having an abundance of midfielders we still don't have real options on the left or the right (without Wilson) which has to be a worry

ICT 1-1 CELTIC (20/08/06)
Rankin woeful?? :006: Amazing how opinions differ - I thought he played better than Black and certainly outshone McBain & Keogh who didn't look comfortable wide right but then again he's probably never played there before. Although not a fan of Hart I would have thought he would have been a better option in that position. First half we were dire and lucky to go in only 1 behind. Why do we continue to punt the ball up to Dargo & Wyness? Marked improvement in the second half though which was pleasing to see. Fantastic strike by Grant Munro and it was great to silence the Celtic support
-
DENZIL
Rather than having a go at Denzil perhaps we should be asking why we continue to punt the ball up to both our strikers rather than playing to there strengths and passing to there feet or into the chanel. Dennis & Dargs aren't going to win many in the air against 6ft+ defenders and yet we constantly hit it long from the back

christie's going shopping ....
Well the latest is we may have to wait till January for new signings as the last 2 enquiries we made turned us down because Inverness is to far north!! :006:
-
Dods
Were DU not provided with figures that we would expect for Dods, Proctor & Black a few months ago :006:
-
Ian Black
Can't see him moving to Hibs unless they sell Brown or Thomson. With the greatest respect to Black he would be sitting on the bench.
-
Dods
What is there to dicuss?? He has been told we aren't going to sell him so he has to see out his contract. Simple.
-
CELEBRITY IN THE STAND ON SUNDAY
Does that mean someone will have to give up there seat for him :016:
-
SPL 2ND Tier
It's Going To Happen!! :006:
-
Dods
***Another Bid*** If the figures quoted are correct that means there last bid was £25k!!!!!!
-
SPL 2ND Tier
Can't see the smaller SPL clubs agreeing to 2 up 2 down despite the fact it would probably do the game some good
-
league cup 2nd round draw
The odds seem to be purely based on league positions last year for the spl clubs
-
SPL 2ND Tier
What exactly is the point though? Still 1 up and 1 down at the end of the day
-
Are Home Crowds Falling ?
The 2 teams that visited so far have taken fairly decent supports though
-
Ritchie Hart
Clever man management by CC I think to keep Hart interested. Surely a good performance against an amatuer team is no basis for bringing a player in against the league champions? Where would he play? Who would he replace?? I think he might get a place on the bench at best
-
North of Scotland Cup
I don't think there is a reserve game this week so I guess those not in the first team needed a game
-
Dods
I'd much prefer it if Dods just told the truth and said he wanted to move purley for financial reasons. At the stage of his career no one could argue with him getting one last big contract before he retires. 'Family' reasons just doesn't wash with me - lots of people work further from home and for longer periods of time for less money. The fact that he suddenly decides he wants to leave when he knows United are interested makes it rather transparent. Would he still want away if there was no other club interested!!
