  1. Lord Sugar said some clubs should go bust, and not just "football bust" but proper closed doors forever and bulldozers, if they become insolvent. He puts an element of blame onto the fans being apathetic to how their clubs are run. Valid point, but hard for supporters to have any say as they are very much kept in the dark so on that point, i'd disagree with him. Interesting viewing though! Anyone else see the program?
  2. Can anyone reveal what the courier was building up to in its ambiguous facebook updates regarding Rooney?
  3. They seem to have missed a trick here. Many people are looking for a solid, reutable, professional organisation that can unite scottish fans and essentially scare the ivory tower bureaucrats into the realisation that if they chase the money at the expense of the good of the game, they will lose. Boycotts will happen, if a 10 team league goes ahead. Unfortunately, a boycott needs to be agreed on now so that any club that announces they have accepted a 10 team league do so in the knowledge that it will be playing infront of almost no fans, and having sold a lot less season tickets. So many petitions and crappy websites are embarassing; typos, amateur designs, etc. All it takes is some people with brains to get everyone on board and present it to the fanbase at large in a professional way. The RealSPL...yes, it may have double the "likes" of Caleythistleonline, it should be 9 times more not just double, shouldn't it? Have you been in touch with the supporters trust? The moderators? You can just throw up a website, keep changing the "plan" and expect people to follow blithely on, you're not JC, you know.
  4. So much for the slick PR. Thanks anyhoo.
  5. What happened about the trip? It was Friday 15th April but I can't find anything about it.
  6. They are just getting edgy cos they'll now have a more congested run-in than otherwise would have been...if they lose the title they'll be blaming the rain, ICT, SPL, SFA, an wee missus McHeggarty of 56 Broomhill Drive for not buying a copy of Celtic View last September...
  7. Apart from the usual suspects (O.F, Dons, RC) what team in any league in any country do you dislike and why? For me... Cardiff ?30m in debt, currently they have 6 loan players in, were late with wages, late with tax bills and went to the high court, winding up orders narrowly avoided. They lied to fans by saying if they bought 10,000 advance season tickets, ?3m would be spent on players, but then spent it on debt instead. Sold land for ?450k to pay off debts, and sold Aaron Ramsey, Danny Gabbidon, James Collins all to reduce their debt, their chairman got the job by investing ?6m in the club, and while Motherwell were asking for a long overdue ?175k, Cardiff went out and got Craig Bellamy on ?45k a week wages. I like teams like Norwich who are very much run in the proper way, for them to be edged out to the Premiership by a reckless debt-ridden club would be unjust.
  8. Tartan Army boycott of Scotland game v Brazil at Emirates on Mar 27th? The clubs meet again on Monday. If the chairmen and the SPL continue to ignore and insult the fans, perhaps a boycott of the above game will happen? As said, the SFA are not defenceless in this, they are just as culpable, and have been for many years.
  9. I think that's exactly as it stands now. Maybe things will have to get worse to get better. The fans arent idiots, we know what their agenda is, however our worries are based on the good of the game,i.e. falling attendances, falling co-efficient, too many average foreign players, youth not getting a chance, a malaise and apathy seeping in, top-heavy bureaucracy, and a ticking timebomb of debt. Cut your cloth v buy buy buy.
  10. It's telling that there is confusion about who does what in the scottish game. Three organisations and very little end result. It seems more and more likely that this sorry affair will drag the game further down. Unless we can replace Doncaster and Topping with people of the same calibre as Roxburgh, Craig Brown, David Taylor, etc., there is very little hope. Wrong people, wrong ideas.
  11. The SPL were speaking to the SFL clubs on Thursday at Hampden (17th Feb) about the regional league system. It would appear that the 10-team SPL plan with all the trimmings hasn't changed one bit. Jim Spence even repeated the claim that SPL clubs are in "broad agreement" which is sloppy journalism considering at least a quarter are opposed to it. These ideas are all from Henry McLeish's bestseller (in the SPL, staff-only, bookshop). Am I the only one that finds this refusal to go back to the drawing board wholly disgusting?
  12. My question would be "What have you been up to in the weeks since the furore died down?" If you think that taking your foot off the gas so that the fans will forget, and you can do it more quietly next time, well, then, it would be par for the course on your decision making so far It will be back in a month or so, but you can bet your bottom dollar Doncaster will be scurrying around trying to force through a ten team league. The only thing holding things up are three clubs and the fans outwith the OF. Take that out of the equation and this deal will be done in a flash. Need to get Doncaster and Topping out ASAP
  13. Anyway...very slick campaign this. Not seen anything like it from ICT before - has there been a marketing guru hired or something? Top notch stuff. Hope I win!
  14. Vile excuse for a man. Hoped he'd be transferred out of the UK so i'd no have to see him anymore - just an all round bad person.
  15. I think we're all on the same page. The bottom line is Ki has accused Scottish fans of racism and therefore there should be an investigation. My own feeling, until other evidence is forthcoming, is he has lied to protect embarassment to his own country at the expense of ours. If the alleged abuse was so hurtful and damging to him that he felt he needed to protest it in the Asian Cup semi-final in Qatar against Japan towards some Scottish fans he has made allegations against, surely he would have reported it at the time? Until he can back up his claims, and why it has not been raised as an issue before now, I remain very, very sceptical. I hope thae SFA investigates.
  16. I just wonder why in the semi-final of the Asian Cup after scoring a goal he would celebrate by imitating a monkey? In answer to Scotty's question, it is based I believe on what some link to appearance, and how some Japanese I know see themselves, and will joke about it themselves in a self-deprecating way, and don't take it too seriously. It can be an insult and many Koreans are very anti-Japan. Whether 2 and 2 makes 4 in this case I dunno. I'm not sure why he did it, I find either explanation a bit unpalatable, if he has been subjected to racism here, I would have thought we'd have heard of this, as you said, racism is now very frowned upon and a rarity now, and Neil Lennon is hardly one to hush up incidents, is he? I'm not saying it didn't happen, but there's no evidence I can see that it did either... Hope the SFA can look into this, as my point is, Scotland's reputation is being severely tarnished in Asia by this.
  17. Ki Sung-Yeung caused outrage when he celebrated his goal against Japan by impersonating a monkey - which the Japanese were outraged by as there is a history between Korea and Japan...BBC website But, alas, it was not aimed at Japan, but at the racist treatment he gets in Scotland where people make monkey sounds at him. Funny, i've not heard of this before - I wonder why it wasn't reported? I think we take racism in the game quite seriously as a problem so i'd be keen for the SFA to contact him and ask him where and when this happened. Bit of a Mark Wright?
  18. C'mon ICTFCKev, don't be so mean, let's vomit over any bod that's been on the wee telly box for having anything to do with our little wee bit o'land. Why stop at a season ticket? Let's give them Nessie and and a scone too.
  19. Could you stop making it all up and "present" your evidence so we can then all immediately hang and ruin you when your stupid, self-serving, egotistical, baseless, arrogant, and condescending brainless idea is made apparent to all for being the idiot that you are for trying to look at the scottish game as if it was a f****** hedge fund?
  20. Kirishima replied to L_G's topic in Caley Thistle
Was very positive about the quality of life. You can genuinely see he has fallen in love with the Highlands and Islands. Who wouldn't? I think it was a hugely important piece for the club and city. Well done TB.
  21. Good semi-finals, could go either way... Australia will need to put more of their chances away, prob be best putting in crosses. Japan really need to defend better, and get rid of their awful 2nd choice golaie, trying to do his job from behind the goalline - never seen that before!! ...South Korea seem to be struggling, good wing play but nothing else, and then Uzbekistan, solid, no frills, good short-passing team. Whoever makes it to the final it will be close, evenly matched teams all 4. Cold, wet, in Qatar, in winter? Move it to winter Sepp, we may have a chance!!
  22. Away and watch Pop Idol USA. Fame, what a venus flytrap it is.
  23. Well, I am, ta. Games on tonight on TV here, should be good, though the refereeing has been nothing short of corrupt. I'd fancy Japan to win this, scoring boots are on, and with Zaccheroni they will be able to get past tougher games against Korea or Iran next and prob meet Australia in the final. Must be perfect weather out there now - good for a World Cup even?

I have watched it on Iplayer when in UK before. Whether it still runs on it I not know. Cracking stuff
  25. Cancel Sky subscription Pressure SPL Sponsor Boycott away grounds (except Motherwell and Killie) Personally, i'm not in a position to do anything here...
