  1. I'd say one of the most exciting players to play for ICT in our history. Exciting in his playing style, but if he keeps up the tempo he'll be near the top soon enough.
  2. l be there. As long as the players focus on beating Partick and not on the result of the dundee - county game, then we will win with ease.
  3. I'll take a point, that gets the monkey off our back, and our second half performance should give us confidence in a week + a bit's time. And, we can go top of the league on Tuesday night if all goes to plan. What a turnaround. Dundee are falling to pieces, ourselves and County look like the two best teams in the division at the moment, the Pars are catching up and QOS are a good weekend away from being in the mix. Duncan the MOM, showed excellent strength and composure in everything he did. Esson was also his usual fantastic self, Rooney cannot deal with long balls pumped up to him all day so didn't get too many opportunities. Eagles was very impressive when he came on, gave Johnny a lesson in effort. Perhaps time to give Johnny a rest? He's a young lad, has been playing consistently for months now, but he's starting falter. He doesn't even seem to have the pace he used to. Eagles could step in easily, looking at him today. At last, a league derby that we actually competed in.
  4. Sounds like they're set for a fall.
  5. The last goal he scores in that video was the first in the 3-0 win over Hibs, the game that kicked off our dominance over them. IMO probably the most skilful player I've ever seen for ICT; Bazza, Black and Niculae rolled into once pint-sized genius.
  6. 3 points won today, and sets us up nicely for the derby. Although we were poor, i'm in no doubt that was one of Morton's best performances of the season. They seemed well-organised, everyone knew what they had to do and how to do it. MoM - Duncan or Cox, both showed real bite in midfield, and even though they are two defensive midfielder's, they were excellent going forward. Ross played well enough, but didn't get forward enough. He was running alongside Golly for most of the game. Got to get Bully back in. Roscoe played well today, but Proctor at right-back is a worry, and would play much better out wide right instead of young Ross (too early for a derby).
  7. Rooney to win the POTY for the 1st division. He was on top form last night, and it's always good to see him celebrate a goal, he doesn't forget that the fans supported him when he was finding it tough in the SPL.
  8. With any luck a scout will have been at the Dundee game and ran away at half-time, after seeing Roscoe play absolutely awful, then missed his best 45 minutes of the season so far. Surely if we are at the stage of handing out contracts he is the first name on the list? Over 500 appearances, played in all three divisions, every senior club aside from Elgin... Too much history for us and Roscoe to throw away.
  9. Best stadium - Probably Hibs. Hard to find, but always seemed a nice mix of old and modern. Worst - Aberdeen. Unfriendly, and even worse, filled (or half-filled nowadays) with Aberdeen fans.
  10. ISSUE - Massive queues put me off trying to get anything at half time. ISSUE - Prices have gone up, quality gone down. IDEA - Agree with the runner idea, would reduce queues.
  11. We made it ten times harder for ourselves yesterday (at no fault of our own) but it's still more than possible. I think there are 14 games left to play from our own perspective. Every game winnable, but the real niggle is that ICT consistently fail to get the results in the must-win games. Hopefully yesterday will spur the players on, maybe a sense of injustice will do them good. If we can beat the pretenders from across the bridge, then I believe that anything is possible this season.
  12. Good game the day, good support as well. It's by no means over, the next run of games will prove far more important than today. A disappointing end to a great performance, but that seems to be our mentality against Dundee. If we can beat QOS, and perhaps take all points available against County (difficult, but possible) then we would be favourites in my eyes (but then we always are). All it takes is 1 weekend were we win, Dundee lose, and then we could be 3 points off the top. Considering we have to play Dundee on the last game of the season, that's ok. Agree with RiG that people need to look around them and realise that QOS are in a much better position than us. The biggest disappointment is that ICT yet again fail to win a must-win game. Is it a question of bottle, or are we unlucky. We were certainly unlucky today, and those questioning Munro's captaincy are a joke. A captain leads by example, and a good captain doesn't need to bawl at his players. There was nothing we could have done today to prevent the two goals (aside from perhaps close down Kerr quicker) and the game as a whole leaves me with a lot of hope. Looking at our resources, and then take a look at Dundee, signing Bob Malcolm on a whim just because they feel they need to tighten up at the back. Obviously I'd love us to get promoted, but it's a pity to leave this league and return to SPHell. Then again, seeing Griffiths gurney wee excuse of a face run off the park crying at the end of the season would be priceless.
  13. I was at the game, there was a couple of niggles. There was that eejit who always shouts at the games, always something along the lines of 'COME ON CALEY, WAKE UP' or even 'BOOOOOO'. Think he sits in section F, bout halfway up judging from the noise.
  14. Looks as though the decision has already been made. Good to see, a bit of positivity running into the last few games as well. Nice to see my influence has spread so far... :)
  15. Good to see all positive replies so far. If Butcher stays, as well as Esson, Hayes and Foran (and maybe even Duncan after saturday's showing) we have a real chance. Then again, if we have to let these players go, it might be a different story. Although Butcher has rebuilt a team, the core of the squad has remained from last season (Esson, Roscoe, Munro, Duncan, Foran, Rooney), I'm not sure how he would fare completely starting from scratch.
  16. I'm good like that. B) Nice to see 100% so far on the 'Regardless' answer.
  17. Coming up to that time of the season where decisions have to be made about players and staff (unfortunately no decision can be made on the more executive members of ICT). So do you believe in Butcher and Malpas, or do you think they've had their time and can move on satisfied that they have done a good job. Simple enough, a vote and an explanation. My vote goes to 'Regardless of the season's finish'. I've seen enough this season to convince me that Butcher has the makings of a good team, and that he should be allowed time to mould them into league winners. And, if Dundee were taken out of the equation, we would be winning the league this season. I fully expect the replies to be positive.... B)
  18. Ah. Yep. Looking back on it, we didn't win. Apologies. But I stick by the rest of the post. Renegade stated Rooney was poor and the worst on the pitch. He was marked out of the game and given poor service. I'm sure he can find some love for Rooney somewhere.
  19. If it wasn't for Rooney, we wouldn't have drawn today. If it wasn't for Rooney, we would be minus 15 goals this season, and we would be mid-table at best. What do you mean you don't care if he scored? If he hadn't we would be another point worse off. I hope this is another Renegade statement designed to be completely opposite to the general consensus, but if this is really your opinion, then you know nothing. Reason for edit - got carried away and forgot the actual result.
  20. We had enough chances in that game to win every game from now until the end of the season. Just off the top of my head, I can think of Sanchez missing one across goal, Bully's header off the line, the own-goal-that-crossed-the-line-but-wasn't-given chance, another almost own goal (this time kept out), Hayes through on goal, Rooney through on the keeper twice... And a few others I've probably forgotten. Good performance, lacking in urgency in some parts, but we made opportunities today that earlier in the season we weren't able to. No idea regarding the penalty, Munro went down from some pressure, and everyone shouted for it. Next thing I know, there's no-one around me cos they'd all stood behind the goals waiting for the Ginger Messiah to power it home. Up until the penalty the ref was shocking. Really pedantic. But he gave the penalty, so it was a terrific all-round performance from the man in black.
  21. It's not as if my summer revolves around England getting knocked out, but it does cheer me up. I am always delighted to see Lawrenson/Hansen/Linekar/Wright unhappy. Maybe if they got some decent, neutral pundits in the studio my attitude would change, but I doubt it.
  22. I can honestly say that I have never heard any 'gloating' about '67. Maybe reminiscing, but no gloating. And taking your point, Celtic should then harp on about '67 before every champions league game, which simply doesn't happen. Maybe if you frequent the Celtic forums. I know England games are less regular than the CL, and that comparing Celtic in the CL and England in the WC is impossible, but I just don't hear a peep about '67 before any CL games. Maybe I switch off from it. For me, and you can take this as racist or a tad prejudiced, the English media/fans are a more arrogant breed than the Scotland fans. The fans should probably expect more, they do have a decent team, but the Scotland fans believe more in the occasion rather than the end result.
