  1. Neither would stay to sit on the bench. Esson has 18 clean sheets out of 36 games, and saved something like 8 penalties (taking into account the shoot-outs). Plus he seems to have the defence running like clockwork around him. Esson please.
  2. Delighted both have signed, not sure about the 'experience' factor, we have plenty of that already. McBain is possibly my favourite player from the old era. Socks down and running at the opposition, just superb. And Golly has been cracking since coming back, he was an ICT legend beforehand, and even more so now. Now Esson, Roscoe and Bambi can sign up, and we can focus on signing that Aldershot reserves player we'll all been looking forward to.
  3. Does this mean that if I go down to the Bught and watch a game, I have to choose a side to support? I just like watching football. Just to save myself getting savaged by 'ultra-fans', there is nothing that would make me happier than seeing county getting crushed today.
  4. Apparently Irvine is gash. And Russell is definitely not what we need. Out of the players St Johnstone released I'd rather have Paul Sheerin back.
  5. Every player in our starting 11 is good enough for the SPL.
  6. Nah Roscoe isn't going. His celebration yesterday was nothing more than that; he was delighted at being back in the SPL with his club. No matter what happens this summer (although I'm pretty sure he's here to stay), he will finish his career with ICT.
  7. Hayes didn't look at all disappointed, and neither he or Roscoe threw their shirts into the crowd. But Johnny did lose his shorts when signing autographs.... Think Roscoe was just delighted to be back in the SPL especially after being sent off against Falkirk. Cracking to see him psyched with the cup. Pish game, but 9 in a row and 22 unbeaten aint bad going. Every player looked delighted at the end of the game, Rooney winning both the player of the year awards as well.
  8. It was far too easy. Ayr are going down, bit of a pity, by far my favourite stadium from the 1st division tour, really old school.
  9. Close between the game away to the pars and yesterday. Beating Aberdeen for the first time was also cracking.
  10. Ayr 1-3 Airdrie Utd?! Ayr will be fired up for Saturday's game. Dundee will grind out a draw in this one.
  11. Hope we continue the trend. Bit off-topic, but Dundee could set a record (mebbe) tomorrow night; Soutar, Bullock and Douglas are injured, so they have to play their 49 year old coach Rab Geddes. Ha.
  12. Cracking highlights again. Great to see a full north stand again. Just to say that there are QOS highlights on Youtube, part 2 shows the reaction at the end of the game by the players/management.
  13. Eh? Rooney all the way. He was a good player at the start of the season, but now he's the best in the division. Hayes wasn't given too much of a chance at the start of the season, but when he played in the CIS Cup games he did well enough. Cox does push Rooney for the title of most improved, but he had a big drop in form mid-season. He's been superb in the last couple of months.
  14. Yep. Proper terracing again.
  15. Let me tell you I'd be delighted if Roscoe stayed. I'd always believed he'd eventually run himself into the ground for the club, finishing just short of 1000 appearances.
  16. Well if rumours are to be believed the move to Australia is off. Hoping he can stay, we'll know in the next couple of weeks if he is. It'd be bizarre not seeing him in defence.
  17. Where is this? I found an interview in the Daily Record but couldn't see anything like that. Taken from the BBC: However, despite his iconic status at the club, Tokely is facing an uncertain future, with his contract due to expire at the season's end. "I'm out of contract at the end of the season so everything's a bit up in the air," said the right-back. "The gaffer's out of contract as well and no-one's mentioned a word, but I'm just here to play games and help the guys get a win." There were bits and pieces earlier in the season. Apparently he did have an offer in Australia, and Pele himself did allude to the fact that Roscoe is nearing the end of his career, and a money-spinning move elsewhere could be on the cards. Hope not though. The man represents ICT.
  18. Back to the good old days. The big-spending skanks and arrogant central-belters just can't stand that no amount of money will win them success. Cheers Terry and Mo.
  19. Mihadjuks back as cover (mebbe first team player if Roscoe decides to stay, but from his reaction today and the way he has been talking I think he could be away). I'd be DELIGHTED if we managed to keep together that squad. Fingers crossed Butcher works his magic on them.
  20. Cracking second-half performance, summed up our season. Terrific up front, Rooney is a revelation, and Esson pulling off a couple of stunning saves to keep us in front. Delighted that we didn't win it today, I'm already looking forward to Ayr away and enjoying the entire match with no worries. 1000+ away fans belting out the songs for 90 minutes, much better than sitting and waiting for the Dundee/County result to come through. MOTM - Difficult, Rooney is the most improved player I have ever seen in my life. Shuperb, could have had a hat-trick and did his best to set up Sanchez for a hat-trick too. Foran is a LEGEND, the man has been an inspiration recently. McBain was excellent, I've always liked his style; socks rolled down, running at players. Rooney wins it, a fantastic goal, he enjoys every second he spends on that pitch and celebrates every goal with the fans.
  21. Jonny Hayes or Rooney for me. Foran has been superb recently, but hasn't been as good throughout the season.
  22. I would have thought that the players out of contract are all too focussed on winning a return to the SPL to entertain any deals from other clubs. Hopefully we can round them all up on a high after we are mathematically champions. Butcher is a clever man, and he'll use ever possible argument to win them round. I'm also pretty sure he'll be looking to strengthen almost every area of the pitch (with the exception of Esson in goals).
  23. As long as we are promoted I will hold out hopes that Hayes, Foran and Cox (who as pointed out has been excellent of late, getting back to the form that saw him 'linked' to Rangers. Ha.) will all sign new deals. Too often we let go of quality players, surely the board can see that Hayes and Rooney would be investments, while Foran is a top-six SPL striker. Then again, the contracts given to these players were likely to have been given with the promise that if they played well for ICT, with relaxed and easy surroundings, they can win a contract with a 'bigger' club. Hopefully they might realise that the reason they have been playing well is in part down to where they are. Foran certainly will, after his time down in England.
  24. The way I see it, Rooney without Hayes + Foran = A good striker lost without service. Hayes with Foran and Rooney? They all seem to work well together, all seem to know each other's game. Hayes is already a cracking player, if he can show a little bit of foresight and stay with us for a couple more seasons, i'm convinced he can be a legend.
